Good advice Dr Melissa! I found the same results when I researched this years ago. It hasn't changed! I would also add some of these "Park & Cruise" deals are a one-way trip! They drop you off at the cruise port, but you have to arrange your return.
Our hotel in Boston is a 15 minute walk from the terminal. The weather is supposed to be good, embarkation doesn't start till 12:00, and neither of us is opposed to a nice little stroll.
If the hotel also has free parking, it may be a deal. Our most recent cruise out of Mobile, we stay right near the port at a popular hotel with free parking for the week and a shuttle. We needed up taking a golfcart service instead of the hotel shuttle but the parking made it worth it.
I did this once on my cruise but only because my brother had choice points and we saved a bunch of money in that hotel also we lived in the same state as the cruise port so that made it easy. For my next cruise in Sept i will be staying just outside of Port Canaveral and drive to a park n ride and get shuttled to the port. Much easier.
You have great info and insights. But one suggestion: slow down! Gosh, you talk 90 mph! We’re not in that big of a hurry. Other than that, I love your content.
You do realize that social media platforms push content based on retention metrics over anything else, and a slow pace statistically causes a drop off, right? And believe me, I’ve tested all iterations. It’s sad that people’s attention spans are so short now, but it’s a byproduct of social media quick consumption. So the pacing is deliberate. You can adjust the speed in YT to your own preferences.
