I feel like I've gotten to know John so well through interviews like this, despite the fact that I haven't met him face-to-face yet. He really gets in there, talking about many deep issues a lot of people wouldn't think of, but he does it in a way that's very calm and relaxed. He seems like an incredibly sweet, gentle-hearted guy, somebody who'd instantly be one of your best friends for life.

Magda, what a wonderful and informative interview this was. I have been a fan (and I'd like to say a friend) of John Lloyd since the beginning days of Jersey Boys. I've seen him on Broadway and in the movie numerous times, as I have in his cabaret shows, both in New York and in California. He is as nice and kind and giving as he is talented. His voice is remarkable and his hits of the 50's and 60's are gifts to baby boomers such as myself. My favorites are "Hey There Lonely Girl" (originally done by Ruby & the Romantics as "Hey There Lonely Boy") and "Lightning Strikes" (originally by Lou Christie), both in the 1960's. I strongly disagree with his saying he's not a superstar. He is to me and so many others, and is a shining example of how performers should treat their fans and human beings in general. See you for the Vegas Valentine, John Lloyd, hopefully regaled in my John Lloyd Young shirt!
