Great interviewer and interview subject! I felt as though I were sitting in a living room listening to a well balanced, normal conversation. I honestly don't believe there is ANY rudeness or irritation on Mr. Young's part. He's simply carrying out a conversation in his normal tone of voice. Again, nice interview, I loved it!
+Madie Wood I know what you mean. I love him to death, too. "It's like going back to your hometown, except everyone's richer and everything's cleaner."
Loved this interview! JLY looks like he is having a great time back in JB, and I have seen the show twice this summer he's better than ever! His new CD is just wonderful to listen to and so happy he finally recorded one, and can't wait for more. Welcome back to NYC and I will be back soon to see JB!
He sounds so smart but also sad near the end when you realize he can't get work on stage since he's seen as just a Jersey Boy. That industry sucks if they can't see his talent.
@@susanstevens4455 Duh.. it's not about *replacing* Frankie Valli. 😒 What is wrong with you people that get so defensive because somebody loves the actor who played him in "Jersey Boys"? I love John, too.. and that's quite alright. It doesn't mean that he's better (or worse) than Frankie Valli.
Torn about this interview. On one hand, I did not expect John to be one serious individual. When he attempts to be funny, its either hit or miss, which I can definitely relate lol. But to be fair, the interviewer could have done a better job of humoring and following up John's responses.
If this was awkward it's because Wontorek is easily the worst interviewer I've ever seen. It was up to John Lloyd to keep the interview going. I've seen him perform and have met him at least 20 times and he is neither pretentious nor rude. He is a supremely talented and engaging entertainer who is gracious and kind to his fans.
I love watching all these interview with broadway stars, but asking JLY about his ex Lea Michele seems a bit too E! channel. You're awesome Paul, but you're better than that!
Ah..I'm in love with John Lloyd Young since recently seeing "Jersey Boys", the movie. As for comments that he's rude or pretentious, I get why that may seem so. He's *very* confident, very forthright, and rather serious.. and that may give the impression of pretentiousness or condensention... but I think the real problem may be that there is *zero* chemistry between John and the interviewer, which makes the whole interview come off extremely awkward. 😣 I think John was fighting hard to keep it engaging and interesting and to connect with the interviewer, but it just wasn't happening. Sigh.. 🙁
He is sooo gay. He bedazzles food containers. I still love him. I love him like I love Clay Aiken. Is he coming back for the 10th Anniversary of Jersey Boys this fall? I wish he would play 54 Below.
AsiaMs Labeling him is what I call GAY AND SHOWS YOUR HORRIFIC DESPICABLE. JOHN IS FANTASTIC...HE'S LOVED AND RESPECTED BY THE INTELLECTUALLY AND ARTISTIC GENIUSES WHO LOVE HIM FOR BEING HIMSELF!!!
Oh man, was JLY always this awkward?! It's not even like endearing, he comes off so pretentious. I had the hugest crush on JLY when I was in college and I can't remember why after watching this. Paul Wontorek, you did a good job interviewing and listening (tolerating) him though, *thumbs up*.
AHHH WHY DO I KEEP SEARCHING PICS AND VIDEOS OF john lloyd young. I'm in love
John Lloyd Young is amazing and seems so down to earth. I love him too!
We all are
Such a talented man, and one of the sweetest and down-to-earth persons I've ever met. He does have a great sense of humor too. Love this man!
This is not awkward at all. This is John. He is the most talented, interesting, fascinating, sweet individuals you will ever meet.
This is a great interview with John Lloyd Young. He is so great in every aspect of the word. He did a great job on the movie, The Jersey Boys.

John Lloyd Young... most interesting interviewee... Makes for even more interesting character study.
JLY is a bad ass with a brown belt... So glad I got my cd of My Turn for Christmas, all the songs are amazing!!!
Oh is he adorable!
I'm in love!
I am a 67 year old grandmother! Oy!
He's 44 and I'm in my 20s
Wise beyond your years John Lloyd Young. Fresh and wonderful interview.
He isn't afraid of being mugged. He was showing Paul how to avoid being mugged. John is a wonderful guy with a great, if odd at times, sense of humor.
I love it John Lloyd young I love him
Haha! John is such a cutie. Both personality and physically.
"Buy these mugs"
"we don't sell them.."
"demand that they sell them"
lol!!
+Madie Wood I know what you mean. I love him to death, too. "It's like going back to your hometown, except everyone's richer and everything's cleaner."
I didn't detect any rudeness at all in the interview. JLY sounded like he was giving an honest, candid interview.
He is the best Frankie Valli, sounds like him the most!

Loved this interview! JLY looks like he is having a great time back in JB, and I have seen the show twice this summer he's better than ever! His new CD is just wonderful to listen to and so happy he finally recorded one, and can't wait for more.
Welcome back to NYC and I will be back soon to see JB!
JLY is not rude in this interview, and he's not irritated.
I love that man. He is kinda weird, but I love weird. He’s not like anyone, no one is like him, and he’s just perfect for who he is
I agree!
Of course, his voice talent is wonderful
He can’t sing I can prove it 100%
"I bastardized it" (lol) that was funny.
We love you JLY❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That John is such the flirt.
Happy Birthday, John Lloyd Young! :)
I can't believe he'll be 40 next month. He really lives up to his last name. He doesn't look his age at all.
I love this show
He sounds so smart but also sad near the end when you realize he can't get work on stage since he's seen as just a Jersey Boy. That industry sucks if they can't see his talent.
I know! If you listen to his cd you hear how deep and incredibly large his range is. He's so incredibly talented.
Millie I have been binge watching videos about him and I’ve seen your comments on diff ones 😂
what a wonderful smile, me in luv 2!
He's so cute like ugh
+Kiera Byrne I know what you mean. I love his "Aw, shucks" smile.
John Lloyd Young! ❤️❤️ smart, well rounded, talented and insightful artist. The total package. Will you marry me?
Desert Star Dance l love frankie vallie there won't be anyone to replace him ever in a lifetime from susan

Bruce Lee of Broadway,lol.

+Sean Laput One word to describe John's sense of humor: adorkable.
Also, what an interesting interview!
nobody will replace frankie
Here's to an Emmy for you!
He should think about portraying Paul Simon on a project. He looks, sounds, and is short just like Simon.
Taylor Mendoza I loved john Lloyd young

John Lloyd Young. I might not be good for you, but I just can be good to you.
happy birthday john Lloyd young
ONE of my most fav JLY interviews, but it made me so uncomfortable at the same time..
wish he'd come back to NYC in the "shiny suits"..
pretty sure he's the coolest person in the world
lol "The Bruce Lee of Broadway" He is pretty bad-ass.
+Morgan Bayberry I love how un-jaded he is.
He's afraid of being mugged? Quite humble...
I would love to see an interview with Stephanie J. Block!
Quiero que meden la vida jhon lloyd joung de losyersey boys
Love hiim
Don't mess with Master
made me cry and think and laugh great actor would love to interview him for my channel and podcast I am sayin it
He reminds of Rob Morrow from "Northern Exposure"
Please do an interview with Stephanie J. Block!!!!:)
I love watching all these interview with broadway stars, but asking JLY about his ex Lea Michele seems a bit too E! channel. You're awesome Paul, but you're better than that!
They're both just so goddamn awkward lol. God bless 'em both, but...yeesh.
Awkward one is the interviewer. His speed of thinking is slower than John.

Wth... How is he "sooo gay"?? 🙄 He's got a weird, quirky sense of humor. Since when is that criteria?
JLY is amazing but that interviewer is the WORST EVER!
john's cheeks are chubby when he smiles
Oh man, was JLY always this awkward?! It's not even like endearing, he comes off so pretentious. I had the hugest crush on JLY when I was in college and I can't remember why after watching this. Paul Wontorek, you did a good job interviewing and listening (tolerating) him though, *thumbs up*.
He seems very very Sad
I felt so sorry for Paul, so awkward :/
His 'art' is so derivative and weak. Just because he has a famous name people will buy his stuff
Jarrod Spector should have gotten the movie role I’m being fair it’s a shame. I can sing better than Lloyd and if you don’t believe me hmu
