234/40 does NOT affect gearing as much as the 225/45 ;)Thicker sidewall=worst feel and response...
what hot version is this from? i totally missed this one lol
all rx-8 are over 200 hp at the crank but at the wheel its only around 180. :)

the 235/40 tires are effecting the mx5's gearing, they should have put 225/45... thicker sidewall=better feel and tire height is much closer matched to oem.
