    Great video. I use a desktop computer without WiFi. This worked perfectly.

    I took your advice I use the dongle and its a must have for elrs rx.
    I want to use those small elrs rx in tight spots in my gliders and small park flyers. Futaba and spektrum rx can be really pricey ,bulky and can have spotty ranges too.

      The dongle definitely makes problems go away, and yes, ELRS is now my go-to RF tech.

    That dongle paired with the 4 pin spring loaded adaptor I fashed 2 ceramic antenna boards and a 915 in under 3 minutes...
    Thanks

      Yeah, those spring loaded pins were a genius idea.

      @RCVideoReviews Yeah, the little boards, it's easy to use one hand and just have it on something non conductive, and then it was also good for the older happy model TX modules. All you had to do is take the back off you didn't have to solder the pins, and you could just stick it down in there.
      Thanks for all your videos and stay dry.

    So one more question
    Can I use my arming with lets say my Retracts. So gear down arming is off , gear up arming is on or should I just combine that with my Throttle cut switch.
    The reason I ask is cause I use the 2 of the 6 buttons to do my Throttle cut and can't get arming to work with those. I do also have arming on a different switch and can that be left on all the time.

    For elrs Lua , what are settings would I use for like flying my warbirds . What would be a good packet rate, Telem Ratio, switch mode and what about Transmitter power , Dynamic

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For LOS, 333hz Packet Rate, Std Telem, 16ch and Dynamic will fly just about everything you can throw at it.

    • @Mikeylikesit1968
      @Mikeylikesit1968 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RCVideoReviews So Telem Rate is 1:128 , What TX Power 250 ok or should go higher or lower

    • @Mikeylikesit1968
      @Mikeylikesit1968 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok found STD Telem

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Set it at max with dynamic. For LOS it really doesn't matter that much.

    Hi John, or anyone that can help….I’m trying to flash firmware to a ER6G via a beta fpv dongle, but I can’t find anywhere online or in the manuals which tells me which channels(1-5) signal pins are the Tx and Rx connections. Thanks

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For PWM receivers without a UART, you follow the wiring shown in this video. Pin 2 is TX and goes to the RX pin on the dongle. Pin 3 is RX and goes to the TX pin on the dongle.

    Holy shit. Why is this so complicated? All I want to do is bind and fly.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are plenty of RF options that let you just bind and fly. There are benefits that come along with ELRS if you take a few moments to learn like an absolutely bulletproof RF link, low power consumption, range to beat just about anything else on the market, binding phrases, insanely fast packet rates, etc...
      But if none of that matters to you, and you don't want to invest a little effort to learn how to setup these RF devices, it's a simple matter to find basic RXs. Look at the FlySky ia-6b. It's got a pretty good rep and works well with TX16s 4-in-1.

      @RCVideoReviews Too late now. I already bought a TX16S and an er4 and er6 receivers. If I had known it was going to be this much hassle to get it going, I would have stuck with an old radio system. Really not happy that I have to get a computer involved and have to do updates, sd card, save files etc. Effing ridiculous.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't know what else to tell you. It's not much of an effort IMHO. Sell it and get Spektrum.

    • @gliderrider
      @gliderrider 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      As of my posting, spectrums are mostly sold out. The lower end ones, which should show you how popular they are. Quite a learning curve on these. Just want to fly, not get a computer degree or whatever. I’m trying though.

    What nonsense to fly a plane, very complicated and don't own a computer, not much chance of buying this and I'm in the market for a new radio system

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In the modern RC hobby, you're going to find yourself left behind very quickly if you don't have the ability to flash firmware to various devices. Not to say it can't be done, but you'll find the ability to take advantage of some of the advanced capabilities these devices offer somewhat limited. I think characterizing the need to upgrade firmware as nonsense is unnecessarily judgmental.

    • @michelpetrus
      @michelpetrus 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jeepoyfernandez You need to have the same version as your radio. Also latest version will give you advanced capabilities and solve known bugs.
