How do these guys compare to MO? I just started collecting MO as a first army and if i ever was gonna go into a second army i was considering 0-12, starmada, and torchlight. I love that MO can fight in hand to hand and it seems these guys do that too.
I’ve really enjoyed the TA and NCO so far. I feel like that really helps you play lower model counts. I can’t really get more than 14 weapons. The biggest problem I have is getting them enough long range weapons.
From how I have seen Torchlight fielded it seems to have failed as a heavy infantry themed force, I have seen a bunch of high orders high/model LI and camo armies with less them a handful of HI. Which to me means it fails as an HI army concept. Also the Strider helm is not open it has a human face face mask like some Roman helms.
I haven't followed much list building tech as this was written a few weeks ago but I am honestly not surprised by it. I still think if you want more HI you can do it as easy as YJ so in that regard I would consider it a success with an asterisk. Thank you for saying someone pointed it out to me on discord. In light of the new info I'm just gonna say I dislike the helmet and might paint it to match the armour. :P
@@pkranger1997I feel they needed to go with a silver to make the face really look not like a humans face. A lot of torchlight list I have seen have been 2 moonrakers, beasthunter and 2 raveneyes as a starting point. About 75 points, 5 models and 7 camo.
That's fair but i don't believe that entirely writes it off as a HI faction. Everyone needs cheap orders. Also your right anything but brassy copper was needed for the face

It really is in the vain of YJ. But yeah the best long range weapons your getting is HMGs and ML which is not much from experience with mo and cha

@@pkranger1997 cheap orders yes but when you are getting to 14 models and 3 or 4 HI, is that an HI faction?
