Well it's not ROYGBIVP either. Pink isn't part of the rainbow at all. Since pink is light red, it does make more sense to put it next to red than purple. Heck, even in packs of colored pencils and whatnot, I've often seen pink come before red. It's really not that unconventional, I don't see why this is such a problem.
Well since the colour spectrum wraps back around l, having pink at the end also makes sense. Potentially more sense considering you don't have two kinds of red next to each other, you just get red at the start and red at the end, signifying the cyclical nature of the colour spectrum
@@Dylzhaar But the color spectrum "wrapping around" is simply a trick of how humans see colors it's not real, 600nm light looks red to us, 400 nm light looks purple. You go smaller you don't get red again, you get UV.

By contrast, a rainbow appears when white light shines through a prism or other lens that projects different wavelengths at different angles. Each color band in a rainbow is only made up of a narrow band of wavelength, therefore no pink (or any other color like magenta that requires mixing distinct wavelengths).
Jordan I don't want to insist, but I really hope you try the calamity mod for terraria with Chippy. Mabye you had plans for that allready, but it didn't say anything anywhere so..
There is probably something potentially demonetizable in the video/modpack. Any questionable content should be kept off the main channel to avoid it being striked and deleted.

What if I told you only few people can actually distinguish indigo as a distinguishable color and the only reason that's its considered in the rainbow is that Newton wanted 7 colors for whatever belief he had and indigo was a presious pigment during the time. What is i told you the original pride flag had a pink stripe? it started off with a pink stripe before the rest of the rainbow but that pigment was to expensive to replicate it on a mass scale so they dropped the pink stripe leaving us with the modern day rainbow pride flag.

In newtons time, the colors were a bit different, blue in his time referred to like, cyan, and indigo referred to the more modern deep blue. Violet was like indigo. The reason why it’s not actually in the rainbow is because violet is only a combination of red and blue light, and so when you split white light into its colors, violet isn’t one of them. Also, newton originally only saw 4 colors, red, yellow, green, and blue. Which, looking at it, they are definitely the most distinct.

Got to defend the map maker on this intro. Pink is not in the spectral color (rainbow). So since pink is not really a color, and it's simply a light red, then being next to it makes sense. It's also far from orange/brown, therefore it goes before red. Also, color in art ain't using the spectral color but a hue wheel, and applies shade/light and tint/saturation. Where pink will be kinda between red and magenta (so either first or last for this puzzle).
In case some get confused about the "orange/brown" part. Like pink/red, they ain't two colors but a single one with a different level of brightness. There is no dark orange or light brown.

Actually its not Proygbiv . The original PRIDE flag had pink as the first color, however because the pigment for the original pride flag was so expensive they dropped the pink stripe entirely and just kept the now modern day pride flag.
