Love the look on people's face when they hear his voice for the first time. Blew my mind too. Happened to find them a couple of years ago, definitely happy I did. Wish they got more play.
I don't say this about everyone but this is a band you really do need to see LIVE. This is - not kidding - a subdued version of Paul Janeway. There is so much great music out there but legit try to prioritize seeing them Live. Best energy of any concert I ever went to and .... I'm a Boomer
Came here to say the same. If anyone is impressed with their recorded versions they will be blown away by them live because this is a subdued Paul in comparison to their live shows!
You might want to listen to Charles Bradley RIP if you like Soul I think of him as a grittier version of James Brown. Only achieved fame late in life. He does a cover of Black Sabbath's Changes that consistently gets listed as one of the best covers. Also has plenty of original music as well

So many gems from this band. Bruised fruit, Broken Bones and Pocket Change, the NPR tiny desk. Live better than recorded. You can't go wrong!
Paul Janeway can siiiiing. And the band can plllllaaaaayyy. It’s about time someone did a reaction to these guys.
Call Me is done at the same setting. AMAZING!
Thank you for this! Great band, amazing vocals
His songs snd stage performances are throwback to an earlier white soul story telling genre.
The guys are a treat live.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
If I have to pick one band to see live it's these guys. So glad I've had a chance to do this at least once

An incredible group. Love to see more.
Next- Call Me or Broken Bones and Pocket Change. You’ll love both
I agree with both these choices
This band is amazing live. If you get a chance, I highly recommend seeing them with an audience.
