David Novotny Music ll
As I was watching I show was thinking about creating a playlist of these songs.
David Novotny Music that was great to see David,, loved it
Hello David, I really enjoyed your video. Absolutely marvelous! I would like to ask you what chords did you play in Come on everybody? Every chord chart on the internet says that its E A B7 A E. But it doesnt sound well. Your version sounds better...
I like how almost every Chuck Berry song in existence is literally the same riff
Don't fix it if it ain't broken
Maybellene is different though and school days, oh and nadine, oh and no money down, oh yea wee wee hours if different too......oh and sweet little sixteen yes that's different too oh wait a minute so is the house of blue lights and err let's see oh yes talking bout you is different and err let me see oh yes come on is totally different, I think for your embarresment sake I will leave it there..
You've clearly only heard like two of his songs
@@dorkle9085 Johnny B. Goode, Roll Over Beethoven, Run Run Rudolph, Carol...
Imagine the backlash there'd be if a modern band released 4+ songs with *almost* the exact same instrumental.
When you listen to chuck berry, chances are there's one other song with a similar (if not exactly the same) opening riff
Let it rock-johnny b goode-carole, many more
School day-no particular place to go
Maybelline-thirty days
Again, many more than these few examples
Thats not true. Chuck had an arsenal of licks and ya some were variations.....but brown eyed man memphis maybeline and never can tell sound nothing like johnny b goode or each other
1962: *The Beatles have entered the chat.*
Awesome. Finally, someone calling "rock-n-roll" actual rock'n'roll and not classic hard rock.
VioletGiraffe exactly lol. Thats always bothered me.
so true, there are people doing rock n roll guitar riffs playing metallica and nirvana snd I'm like wtf
You look like a young Keith Moon
you can see the evolution from blues to rock n roll. nice
That rickenbacker sounds awesome man
Why doesn't this have more views? It's just brilliant!
he looks like Keith Moon, Pete Townshend and Charlie Watts at the same time
As a beatles fan I had fun watching this
I am too😂✋
5:22 longest riff ever
IT'S BEEN A HARD DAY'S NIGHT
Thanks you Keith Moon.
You truly deserve that Rickenbacker. As a now 73 year old guitar player … wanna say it gives me a good feeling to see someone so young not only love my childhood n teen years music …. But to also be a masterful player too …. It Is to me most excellent and heartwarming!!!!
love the beatles. great choice indeed!
Man the Beatles really did bring a lot of creativity to the table.
Amazing, especially the beatles my fav band
pete townshend and keith moon combined
my lord, the second coming of the schnoz
Almost all the 1960s riffs are The Beatles
love it
So many Beatles riffs, yo really deserve that Rickenbacker.
The Walrus 1138 when he joked about breaking the guitar I nearly died. That’s a 1,700 dollar guitar
Finally after 5 years TH-cam recommends this to everyone
WHAT A MEMORY! WHAT A PLAYER!! (never be out of work) FANTASTIC GUITARIST!!!!!
When the buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens riffs fade out, I felt that.
I was like "Bruh! What about satisfaction?!" But then you delivered. Nice job.
I didn’t know that many, but who else recognized the pattern of chuck berry riffs, hint: at the beggining
I didn't know Keith Moon played Guitar!
This was where I first heard the riff to satisfaction
Is no one gonna point out that Keith Moon just played guitar
This dude looks like Keith moon from The Who
Terrific. That Peggy Sue riff blew my socks off.
Keith moon plays guitar?
Every chuck berry song is just johnny b goode but somehow not
ikr
ALA_Legend 02 Johnny b goode was one of the later songs with that style..
Some of the greatest guitar riffs known to man.
Thank you for including my uncle in this. I deeply appreciate it! 🙏❤️
TH-cam recommended me this today and I'm so glag for it. Keep it up! 100 riffs in one take is really impressive.
I'm glag too
Wow both Pete Townsend and Keith Moon incarnated in one person.
He looks just like a very young Keith Moon, right?
Yeah but he really looks like the guy who got the dart in the head, could even be him
I think this man likes the Beatles.
JennaPasta Is Pete Townshend
Why wouldn't he?
Keith Moon!! how are you man its been so long
I didn't know that Ringo Starr was also a guitar player
Rone Gadelha lmaooo 🤣
Looks more like Pete Townsend
THIS GUY IS AWESOME
I like your guitar playing!
And you look kieth moon plus pete townshend
There's alot of Buddy Holly and I'm grateful, also for The Beatles, and The Kinks, oh and The Stones plus the Who. New favourite vid
Oh man, you nailed every piece of riff u played and I love it -- keep rckn!
The sound of that Rickenbacker
if keith moon and pete townshend had a son
Ayo
*In this video: 100 Beatles guitar riffs*
People forget that he did this in one take without tuning in between so of course the last songs are gonna be out of tune
The beatles: Allow us to introduce ourselves
When he did 'Satisfaction' at the end I had to give it a like.
Keith Moon gave up his drumming career and became a guitarist
i cannot even complete"Words of love " ,You are gifted and i like your being boyish...
Bravo Keith 😁 keeping the dream alive
From 100 songs, 18 are by the Beatles! The biggest band of the world!
Excellent a great collection of hits , many from the 60s.
Wish that I could do that kid, great work
One of the few videos I have watched all the way through.
Take a shot everytime you see a band with "the" in their name
In other words, the beatles are the best
Why ???????
They just are
Great video love this did a superb job great playing fantastic guitar love Rickenbacker’s 👍♥️👏👋😷
Love the Rickenbacker
Beatiful
I see a fellow Beatles fan using the correct spelling “beat” because you know
He is too good to not be in a band. Saved to my playlist.
My favorite music era is 1950-1969.
Amazing, brother...wow, well done
I just recently picked up guitar, and slowly learning.
I got the cowboy chords down alright, like I can go back n forth from E to G like nobody's business, haha, but I still pretty slow....don't even get me started on those bar chords, ouch!
Damn i want a rickenbacker.
Right, Noel.
@@gavinevans4711 they are beautiful guitars but they are NOT cheap.
Treat yourself, mate. They've got such a distinctive sound. and the way they look!
@@gavinevans4711 they are lovely sounding guitars. Especially the 12 strings. And they are beautiful as well. If i had the money i would've done already !.
Awesome job bro. Loved how you put a bunch of Beatles songs on there!
BEAUTIFUL GUITAR AS WELL I HAVE THE 1964 GEORGE HARRISON 12 STRING REISSUE
now this is real music
MrBanjo now this is rock n roll music!
Love this! This is my kind of music and I know most of the songs you played.
I love that nearly 1/5 of this catalogue is by the Beatles. It shows how good (and big) they were and still are. 😊 Thanks for making my day. 🖖😊
very good video
very nice taste on music
The looks, the Rickenbacker, the "smashing" of the guitar; we must've entered some alternate dimension where Pete Townshend built a time machine when he was younger and traveled to the future to make TH-cam videos
Dakota55 :D good story I love it :D
This is just AWESOME 😃👌🎶🎵🎼🎸
Terrific play. Awesome songs. Your memory for such a long set is incredible! Most all of my early years favs. I love the Ric! Thanks for humbling me.....Ha!
nice Rickenbacker
It's like a playlist I can use to remind me of what to track down and listen to! Excellent!
I was blown away by your TH-cam video because it encapsulated every song I used know and love and play on my guitar from the 50's to the 70's when I grew up in Northern England. If only you could have played each song for a little bit longer. Thnx.
You are young and you have a great old Music culture
Riff Masters:
1. John Foggerty
2. Keith Richards
3.
4.
5.
Thanks for adding your choices.
haha, okay.
3. George Harrison
4. Jimi Hendrix
5. Dave Davies
To many To rate really, Long live Rock and Roll!
Out of our heads... Great job David !
What a bunch of great and immortal riffs were recorded in 1965!!! Very good video and nice playing
That was some nice playing!!
I like how the list starts out almost 100% American and by the end it's almost 100% British
Dimitri Mitrovic pretty much how it happened in terms of popular music in the sixties
Bloody fantastic!!!!! Thanks for sharing mate
I shall fallasleep to this and absorb the riffs into my musical vocabulary
Definitely one of my favorite eras for music. You are great
Skipped 1962 with so many surf rock classics: Misirlou, Pipeline!
Amazing !
I loved listening to you...
Keep going on please !!!
Thank you !!!
we have seen a lot of this kind of videos, but it's Keith moon playing a rickenbacker
Phenomenal stuff. Well done. Congratulations
Wow hi Keith Moon I didn't know you were still alive and young and could play guitar this well
Incredible! 👍 The amount of riffs, and the fact you play them in a row!
That’s the sound. I love it. Thanks David. I am a drummer, wish we could play together...
You played the first ten years of my life.
You look like if Keith Moon and Pete Townsend had a child
Lol
Great Job, wonderful video. Thank you 🙌🏻
My favorite era too 👍🏻
Fantastic job. Really hard to keep all those riffs on mind and play 'em in a row
Bravo! Great job.
The way you put all those tunes together in one mix is done with great musicality. And the same goes for the performance! Very interesting, and a pleasure for the ears. (Those were and are great riffs, and easy to recognise!)
