    What does Joseph of Arimathea have to do with Jesus' possible survival of the crucifixion? Why does Apostle Paul quote from a Buddhist source to attest to the story of Jesus? Do English and Indian claims challenge orthodox Christianity or inform it? CHECK OUT "JESUS IN INDIA" PART THREE: th-cam.com/video/K9A3WNfhSTQ/w-d-xo.html

      Joseph of Arimathea was Jmmanuel/Jesus's uncle, Only a blood relative can take the body of the crucified person. That's why Pilate let Joseph take his body.

      @@PaulWallis I am humbled by your kind response sir, your contribution to humanity Is immeasurable and is pointless for me to try and put into words, I'm not a religious person but when I was about 12 yrs old some of my friends were religious and an opportunity came up for me and my twin brother to go to a church camp in Alpine California, I had questions to say the least, I asked our pastor how do we know that this narrative is "the correct one", amongst All the religious narratives out there how do I stand by this one? How do we know that this is the "right" one? I asked how we're so sure that this is the truth and every other religion is wrong, he ended up pulling me aside and said he's amazed by my questioning and told me not to repeat this but he asks himself the same thing every day of his life, he said he's not allowed to ask the questions I was asking because he had a job to do, he said too many people were relying on him to repeat the message and if he questioned it all or changed it up that it would impact too many people in a possibly negative way so he had to keep at it...I don't want to take too much of your time Mr. Wallis but thought I would share my story, thank you for your amazing work and I'll be here for the next video you post

      @@jaydom57 Great story! That's why I left being a missionary and lay Pastor in the 80's because it finally occured to me that 'we' were right because...'we' believed we were, no better proof. So many cringey doctrines like eternal punishment in hell, that I had always detested, suddenly became obviously nasty interpolations, revisions and authoritative positions. I just bailed out and went looking for better understanding. Paul is just a guy like all of us but I really gel with his thinking or at least I see it as possible. I have to say, that as I shift my paradigm from one of orthodox Christian theology to one of seeking the truth. Not just believing what I am told, but seeking understanding, I have shed many things I thought to be true. I sometimes have feelings of anger, that we have been trapped in a mind prison, to only benefit those at the top who have controlled every narrative for thousands of years, which shapes our perception of reality and stunts who we really are. It makes you realize how much power we have to change this world, or they wouldn't work so hard to hide the truth. At the same time, I am so much more appreciation of Yeshua and my desire to walk as he did has never been more fervent. I read in the gospel of Thomas that Yeshua said “ those who seek should not stop seeking, until they find. And when they find they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel and rule over all.” ❤

    To those that haven’t read it, I respectfully suggest reading “Autobiography of a Yogi”, by Paramhansa Yogananda. It was a favorite of Steve Jobs and many other well known Western celebrities. It is claimed therein, with current evidences, that enlightened yogis are, at will, capable of materializing multiple bodies, or clones of themselves while alive, or return long after death in a physical body identical to that which they had while alive, representing the physical condition of any age of their life. Hindus might simply see Jesus as an enlightened Yogi. It does not cause as much mental tension to them as it does to ‘logical’ Western minds, brought up on the official versions of the Abrahamic religions. It is acknowledged that in those traditions too, mystics have had similar realizations and acquired similar powers. However, the West, unlike India (except perhaps recently), has been intolerant of “many realizations”.

      I grew up in a Mormon family, with protestant relatives, and we lived in a Catholic neighborhood. I felt we were being taken on three separate rides, all of them suspect. Have spent years studying to make sense of it all. As an adult I became a Buddhist, and found that the teachings of Jesus were essentially Buddhism,
      and very different from the teachings of the self-proclaimed apostle Paul which comprise most of modern Christianity. When I found a typed manuscript of the story of Jesus amongst some old family books it all became much more clear. I have no idea how my family came to own a typed copy of an English translation of Nicholas Notovitch's work, but I'm very thankful to have found it. It taught me more than I ever learned in Sunday School.

      jesus studied and practised pranayama in india,
      crucification is symbolic, If you stretch your both arms to the sides, your body will look like a cross , the cross represent your body. your soul crucified inside your body crying out for salvation , to attain moksha or samadhi one have to detach his mind from physical and worldly desire .(samadhi is higher consciousness like near death experience some times symbolically represent as death, death of mind from illusion ) jesus meditate and entered in to samadhi state for 3 days and come back in to normal life and left the place after that. ( remember Jesus said “Destroy this temple, “and in three days I will raise it up)( your body is temple - Krishna ) Which means when your inner consciousness awaken Your consciousness about your body dies and your mind and soul become one that’s how one could be able to be ascended to God

In Sunday school, they taught us how the Romans had to drive nails into the hands and wrists, as well as stagger the feet, so that the body wouldn't be torn down by its own weight. The fact that those feet are represented with the staggered scars is shocking. How would they know about such a specific detail unless they beheld it with their own eyes?

    A great and most sensible presentation.
    Thank you. Decades ago I read Holger Kersten's book "Jesus lived in India", which forever changed my view on Christianity and religions in general. Just 'googling' "how early did people marry in the Holy Land 2000?" revealed that girls as early as 12 and 'men' as early as 14. It makes perfect sense that a young Jesus of around that age, traveled as part of an expedition (possibly as a helper) to the Far East - and learned what 'real' spirituality is.
    Kersten also mentions The Shroud and that pollen discovered therein came from plants only found in the Dead Sea area. Another interesting aspect regarding the Shroud were the paths the blood of the crucified traveled: Initially from head down, while he was on the cross. But additional paths, reflected on the Shroud, indicated that blood was still flowing / oozing from wounds, in a sideways direction, meaning from torso and extremities toward the back, as it would if the person was alive. Kersten has more interesting details in his book .

    I am a 47years old Man!
    For years... since I remember myself as a being... I always question the veracity of the "Religion" as a supreme infallible doctrine!!!

    Then I lost my Faith!
    Somehow I couldn't relate to the " teachings".
    I always felt something was missing!
    Something wasn't right!
    It brought so much unease in my Heart!
    And finding out about You... your books and research helps me in a fantastic way.
    The way You speaks and explain things really resonates with me in a level that I never ever experienced before!
    Finally I can make sense about Who We are and Why We are here!!!!

    Thank you, Paul, for sharing your extensive knowledge and endearing human bravery! Whatever happened to Jesus after his so called death/near death experience, I never accepted that he was torturously killed to pay for MY sins. Since a preteen, I often thought that Jesus would weep to see "Christianity" follow as a result of his influence on Earth. I was taught the Lutheran way at school in Finland over half a century ago, but I was always naturally pantheist. The divine oozes to my senses from every living being - including the Planet itself and the Cosmos beyond. Thank you again for the outstanding series of Biblical research!

    I was raised as a Christian, but I could never warm up to a God who required me to accept a bloody human sacrifice in order to not burn in hell forever with no chance of relief. To hear you speak about the Yaweh of the Old Testament being an alien overlord makes a great deal of sense to me. And that Yeshua survived the crucifixion and traveled to India or other parts of that region also makes a lot of sense. After all, he was a convicted criminal and sentenced to be executed, and if he had stayed in Jerusalem, he could have been executed again. It seems to me to be a very human animal desire to think that our body could be perpetuated forever and not die permanently. And that desire is, I think, the force behind the passionate belief in Christianity.

Hmmmm.... The whole vibe of those extra verses has always struck me as off. 'they will pick up snakes, drink poison'...riiight. Whoever believes gets saved whoever does not believe is CONDEMNED. Later interpolation anyone?
    How extremely interesting. You have a gift for opening eyes and minds Paul. You are giving me back the real Jesus after years of being turned off by the orthodox presentation of certain aspects of his teaching.
    BTW what Sutras did that biblical saying of Jesus come from? Besides your inquiry into the ancient alien area (which I really dig) this reassessment of who Jesus really was is brilliant.

    Very edifying Paul, thank you for presenting this so succinctly and poignantly. I love Jesus Christ as a Living Presence, Helper and Healer. I believe we all have the same potential to fulfill our life as creations from Divine Source ( Spirit made manifest into evolving (True)'Life') and Loving Creator (Spirit)- as the path followed by Jesus. The problem mankind has is looking at the sky like a domed ceiling, when it is many,many levels of interpenetrating layers of power of a Spiritual Nature and subtle energetic stratifications that affect our conscious evolution -and 'access' to finding our Truth- in the greater sense rather than lesser sense. Jesus had a clear channel (or achieved it in his lifetime) and was able to deliver the power of healing and enlightening others around him on this earthly and physical plane. We (most of us) for whatever reasons, have been cut off from that linking channel to our Source and Creator. All religions apart from a lot of cultural frippery - are about striving for that link of Consciousness with our Source/Creation and Loving Spirit in order to fulfill our potential in growing towards the Light of Illumination. 'Living Jesus' expressed by John as you mentioned, is as alive now as ever alive -as beyond this physical framework (harbouring Deception and Lies) - there is no TIME. I always jokingly re-phrase the term ARMAGEDDON- as 'I'm a Gettin' tired of waiting for everyone to wake up! ( to the Turth of LIGHT in Ourselves and the World)- this is the Enlightenment! Spiritual Illumination is holistic - and does not really need our pinhead intellect to be trying to make up answers and monoploize or manipulate others such as history has shown,- each individual has the Power within. Then it is about living in step with that Spirit within. The Church being the body of Life, whether personal individual, or collective as a group of humans who express the True nature of Spirit- Living in US! That is my halleluijah moment!

    Here's a theory. In my childhood Sunday school teachings, I remember being told of why Jesus' legs were not broken before being removed from the cross. It may have been Roman common practice to break the lower legs of a crucified person if they had survived their ordeal to prevent escape. Jesus may have become unconscious, possibly due to the stab wound. Thus the Roman guards could've missed this and thought him dead. If this is the case then Joseph of Arimathea would've moved quickly to get the body and carry it to a place for medical treatment. Once healed enough to travel, Jesus could've been transported away from the Romans and into Kashmir to live the rest of his life. The evidence you give seems to support this and the fact that there is more to the story of Jesus than we are aware of. Prayers, Peace, and Health, to you Paul.

    • @PaulWallis
      @PaulWallis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Karren Watson - Yes these are very interesting and salient points. In India many localities take it for granted that Jesus was there after the crucifixion. They didn’t break His leg because they saw he was already dead, to ASSURE that he was in fact dead- pierced His side. When blood and water came out, which is now widely know medically to be because of the watery fluid surrounding the lungs and heart after asphyxiation. Professional executioners don’t make mistakes and let someone live an execution, or else they would suffer the same fate. The Father laid our iniquities on Christ the Son and conquered the grave, cleansing us and giving us access to the previously severed connection to God due to our sin. The most atrocious act humanity has EVER committed was taking our God and beating Him, spitting on Him, whipping Him to the point of Christ being unrecognizable and then nailing Him to the cross... God used the most atrocious thing WE have ever done and used it for the most marvelous act of mercy. 2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.”

    • @reesezpeecez08
      @reesezpeecez08 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There is a great book, Jesus lived in India by Holger Kersten, that explains everything superbly. The Romans broke the legs to hurry death by suffocation, not being able to use their legs to lift themselves up to breathe. The thieves had theirs broken but not Jesus because Longinus, the Centurion, was probably a secret follower of Jesus and he called the shots. It is the centurion whom Pilate summons to confirm the death which was somewhat fast for a crucifixion. Supposedly he became a bishop in Cappadocia later. A Roman soldier gives Jesus some liquid thought to be vinegar and Jesus cries out and "dies" after he drinks the "vinegar". The book gives one likely idea that it was probably wine and opium that put Jesus in a state resembling death. That book is a must read!
