just picked up an edge beyond in 2022 and got it today. its a super fun yoyo and the lightness is perfection. i know you dropped 2022 edge, but i always really wanted a beyond. but i am not disappointed at all, i love this yoyo and ive only had it for an hour so far.

Man.. Good stuff here! Love the way you do the comparison. I have OG Edge, and yes, it does plays as you described. It's definitely a great yoyo. However, it sometimes dies a bit too quick for me. Beyond and Infinity are both that I would love to try next time. Anyway, as usual, I enjoyed your video, and keep it coming bro!

Great comparison. I got my infinity in yesterday and I agree with pretty much everything regarding the two.
It's really impressive how the edge beyond plays so light despite how much rim weight there is slapped on it. The infinity plays quite a bit heavier than the beyond. However, the power on the infinity is just absolutely insane. It's on a league of its own and because of that it feels rock solid. It doesn't tilt much if at all during tricks and just spins forever.
However, I feel like based on the general trend of rim weighted by floaty yoyos for competitions, I feel like the edge beyond fits the criteria for most pros better than the infinity, though the infinity has its own unique feel and stability that makes it honestly really fun to play despite its weight. The unique feel alone is making it worth picking up in my opinion. It's basically at the limit of bimetal rim weighting using aluminium + SS without compromising on weight or structural integrity.

I Don't have a edge beyond but i prefer the Edge infinity a tad more over the edge just because of spin power.
Have you ever flicked one side of the infinity? It sounds SOOOO nice.

Hey, Lucas, I have a question. I've tried the Original Edge, but I believe it's the heavier version. Do you think there is good differences between playability of lighter and heavier version or it's almost unnoticeable? Great video once again (I only watched this now, so...)

Personally, I prefer the heavier version. It's a lot more stable, has better spin time, and has more control. The one downside is that it's a bit slower, but in contests nowadays, consistency is always better than speed. If it were 2005-2012, the lighter version would be better for competition because speed was more important.

Well if the weight was not reduced the Edge with the heaviest rims would have been the one. I can only guess that too much momentum would make the yoyo hit players hand way to hard to be useful. Since I am learning the get hit alot and now I have moved to lighter smaller and more rounder yoyo. I have the original Edge I bought it when it came out I like it but is not rounded enough for me since I am no expert. I wish the Edge is more organic shaped so when it hits is not as sharp. For my taste heavy yoyo is not an issue as long as is rounded .
