The Hobby lobby Whip yo-yo is a damn good deal! It's about $5.99 and I love the soft type rubber! I'm glad you found/mentioned it, for how much and what it is it's a damn decent yoyo! It unscrews unlike a Normal Duncan and it even has a bearing! The bearing isn't the greatest but it can be replaced, also adding a better string and catch pads make it really nice and smooth. In fact, it's my EDC yoyo bc it's super light and I don't have to worry about killing anyone like my metal Duncan Drifter (which is my other favorite EDC yoyo). I wish stores carried more yoyos because they are amazing fidget toys, so much better than those stupid fidget spinners and other garbage. But in a pinch the old skool Duncan's are nice and good for beginners, they don't come apart or have a bearing. But hey... It's a cheap Duncan, so not terrible but not great. The Whip yo-yo is so much better and cheaper if not mistaken. I do love my Duncan Metal Drifter, had it for 15yrs with the original pads and bearing! It's a slick yoyo that has awesome sleep time and is great for getting into something a little more advanced than a lot of the cheaper yoyo's! Got mine from Toys r Us before the went out of business in 2009 and it's still goin. That thing can be a weapon too, I pegged a dude in the face with it when I was being mugged in 2017. I'm pretty sure I busted his lip and cracked a few of his teeth!
You were wrong for putting a no yo on the Duncan. Imperial, it's a yo's of that style, made in the 50s that paved the way for everything you're doing today. It doesn't do all the modern tricks because it was never intended to. DUNCAN EMPERIAL PROYO !!!
I do love an old fashioned Duncan butterfly! I just wish they made them unscrew-able and added a cheap bearing in their and it would be great! But that's where the Whip yo-yo comes in...and their cheaper than the Duncan's at only $5.99!!
If my eyes aren't decieving me, I've been to every store you've been to, except for the Hobby Lobby. Great memories of that mall from when I was a kid, and there was still a quality arcade there!
If you like yoyo's you definitely gotta grab the hobby lobby Whip yo-yo! It's this nice sofe resin like material so it's light but doesn't feel too light like cheap ones. It also comes apart and has a bearing as well unlike the Duncan's, it's also super cheap at only $5.99! I have several other more expensive yoyos and I keep coming back to my whip yoyo and my Duncan Metal Drifter, those are my 2 absolute favorites at the moment. The Whip yo-yo is a great light EDC yoyo that's great as a fidget toy and trick yoyo and my Duncan Drifter is awesome for tricks because of the nice bearing and the hefty weight!
I find that the Duncan Hornet and Duncan pulse are some of the best you can find in a grocery store. Haven't seen a yyf whip in any stores yet. I have seen some stores carry the yomega raider and fireball.
@@LucasDeckerYoYo Yes I have seen some yomegas at Big 5. Honestly having cheap yoyo's is a major problem. Most people who want to get started in yoyo usually say they aren't good at yoyo when the real problem is that they have the wrong yoyo. Duncan butterflies are very common but what if instead they had better options like the yoyofactory replay.
surprised you didn't find any yomega, the fireball was my first yoyo and I got it from a toystore. have also seen a few yoyofactory yoyos in stores before never anything high end but the whip, one and the velocity
The yoyo i have also does this 9:23, and does anyone know if i could fix it? Edit: Never mind, I fixed it, but it doesn't spin for long, and I can't do the tricks I learned anymore, so I'm just going to make it back how it was before.
In the late 90s yomega sent a dude around to schools to do a yoyo show and sell yoyos, kinda weird looking back at it. Everyone was obsessed with yoyo for about a month, showing off there skills everyday at recess. Now at 40 im buying myself and my kids yoyos for Christmas. Not gonna lie kinda excited.
I recently just got the nine dragon yo-yo, and honestly I think it’s kind of good because you can’t ordinarily touch a yo-yo.if you touch a normal yo-yo,it will stop spinning but if you buy the nine dragons yo-yo, you can touch it and still it will not stop spinning😮😮😮(btw I bought it from your link ❤❤❤)
I found some from the getly (near me) I found 2 yoyos, one is a less flared out shape with a ball bearing, while the other is a more flared out shape with a plastic bearing.
What’s the first target in the video is my target I live close to it😊 in that toy store that you went to the first one that’s called toy tree by the way if anybody wants to know
hey you know brandon vu? I just got his cheatcode lol, and after a while of playing wth it saw your video, I enjoyed the last one of this to so yea nice!
When yoyos were a fad at my school back in the late 90s you would see a few different versions at Toys R Us, Tesco, Argos and places like The Entertainer. I think the most popular ones were the Yomega X-brains. A few kids used to swap halves to get pretty nice mixed colours. I had a wooden Duncan of some kinda, but I can't remember much other than it had grease on the axle instead of a bearing, which made your hands oily if you did anything other than running it up and down. Yes, that included unpicking knots. My favourite was a PowerYo Black Widow. It was the first time I'd seen a butterfly style yoyo, and the design was so cool! The plastic box was eye-catching, and it came with an oval shaped mini-cd with links to some websites and videos of tricks. All of my plastic yoyos ended up getting scuffed on the playground in the end. I mean, the playground was rough. It tore up trousers, scratched shoes, cut up footballs, flayed knees and palms... I'm grateful that kids get the soft play spaces now! I wouldn't wish those inadequate surfaces on anybody. Plus it hopefully means that their own yoyos should last longer. Speaking of which, the range is pretty limited these days. I only see cheap plastic ones, or "blazing team" branded yoyos (no clue, sorry). I did see one with Krteček on it though, so that was fun.
the butterfly xt is actually my main yoyo and they are amazong i use it at my yoyo club that me and my friend founded and it is the one we recommend to everyone
Only the OG’s have seen the first video.
AYYYYY WHASSUUUPP

I SEEN IT
So technically i’m an OG
Still think the deviant is better

Hope that yoyo content creators like you can get yoyoing popular enough to the point where you can get a decent yoyo in stores. Great vid!
That would be wild! Gentry made that happen in Australia already so not impossible

Thanks! I'm glad the improvements made it worth it!

Do they unscrew now? I didn't know they improved it?

big 5 is the best tbh
The Duncan Hornet is pretty great! Definitely a great yoyo to get into looping 2A, highly recommend for anyone that sees it in stores!
10:04 i actually have the yoyo whip with the same color roight now
My favorite yoyo is the one I learned to do almost all the tricks I know with, a Duncan Butterfly. It didn't deserve a no yo
How do I do different colors for the master pack
I love how he describes Walmart as if no one knows what Walmart is
