I always adored how softly spoken the line "It's a beautiful day to be burning in hell" is spoken. That slight change in tone shows such a range of raw emotion. I genuinely shed a tear the first time I heard that specific Parody. All of them are great, of course, each one beautiful in its own regard.

I love how the Undertale fandom just made SO many covers of this one Steven Universe song. The only problem is it had the side effect of a lot of people thinking it was an Undertale fan song.

I love the first three the the same amount, but Papyrus's voice puts me off so much that I usually skip his... yeah, the voice they used for him is pretty accurate, but still.
I think I loved the third one the most; the lyrics match with how most people felt doing the Genocide Route, the vocals were beautiful, and the art style was amazing.

Hey lads, remember when these were everywhere? These four, Gaster and more. The first two are probably the best since they actually had an idea that matched. Both choruses had the words 'LOVE' in the same way but different meaning. I also find more nostalgia for those two. Also Sans and Chara are arguably the best singers of the lot.
@@wilaugh8688 Yeah, Frisk arguably has the best singing voice now that I listen to it again, Sans and Chara have real good voices but Papyrus has the best matching voice. My only issue with Chara, Frisk and Papyrus' 'responses' is that they were made more because of Sans' than the original song. The ones I have the most cripes with are Frisk's and Papyrus'. It's less of an issue with the song and more of how they were made more because 'Hey, these two are important to the Genocide Route (Frisk not really but you play as them), so they should have 'responses'. Frisk makes sense with the premade 'context', being the end of the Genocide Route, but Papyrus is dead at this point. Good songs, but I have a few issues with the concept of Papyrus'.

San's animation in Clara's version seems most like his actual feelings toward the fight; resigned. He doesn't want to fight, if there's even the slightest change to save the player's soul and have then reset to a good ending, he'll do it. He knows he will most likely die, however.
these songs aged well, still remember the first time i stumbled upon this fandom and after a while like most fandoms i fell out of it, nice to jog those memories back into my mind
I'm gonna be honest if it weren't for the amazing songs and lyrics you tubers have provided, I would probably be one slip away from falling out of the Undertale fandom. I am slowly losing interest in the actual gameplay and comics, but it has such good music, I will be holding on to the "fandom cliff" for quite a while. I am determined to keep a really strong grip just for the music, and even climb back up onto the ledge and I encourage other people to use determination to keep holding on, to climb, find explore more Undertale content and listen to the amazing music for all eternity. Edit: I wrote this comment five years ago. I have now played the game myself, and it will always have a place in my heart even though it is no longer my main interest.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about things and Undertale may be the only game to ever fully make you understand what the consequence of taking another like is like for some it's endless guilt but other's that are more like Chara it has no effect the No Mercy ending is one of the worst things you can do yet it answers questions that were left unanswered in the true pacifist ending. The only way you can get the full story of Undertale is if you kill everyone in the Underground Toby Fox did a great job making Undertale. It makes you see the monsters as people that mean something and not just bits of code that stand in your way I know this video is old but new people will see it every day. This game really makes you think the game makes you feel bad for hurting others and shows what can happen if you do take Asriel for example he's the only character that didn't get a happy ending in that route and honestly that hurts in fact if anyone deserves a happy ending it's Asriel this game just hits you everywhere in the feels/
I don't think the Papyrus one was meant to have a good voice, but it was just really fun to listen to. I loved all of these parodies, and they actually got me interested in Steven Universe.

I listened to this song before I really saw gameplay and stuff, I just knew what it was about, so now that I love the series the saying "Made of lov/love" takes on a whole new meaning
I just now realized how important the belief that Chara is responsible is in the fandom. It is pretty common, despite being mainly false according to how the game works (even if it is much easier to create headcanons with that version, it tends to confuse most people) Chara is actually not responsible at all for the genocide route, the player is the one responsible. That’s just what it is, the player plays the game, resets to get all endings, and in one run, wonders "what would happen if I killed every monster?" to then do it out of curiosity. The genocide route isn’t about Chara getting revenge, or becoming mad, it’s about how far a player can go in a world that isn’t theirs, capable of murdering every living being just out of curiosity. Chara is only the "angel" described in the prophecy told by the rune delta, the one that "comes from the surface, and will free all monsters" (that one being both Asriel freeing them from the barrier in the pacifist route, and Chara, putting an end to the world, freeing the monsters from their locked life at the same time)
Surely the angel is frisk again, who can actually free all monsters or kill all monsters on certain runs rather than just making an attempt. Chara (that's not even really their name but I'll use it for convenience) was the first human, and a deeply troubled child who probably experienced a lot of trauma on the surface to make them venture up the mountain of no return and wish death on all humanity via any means. I reckon its this mental illness/trauma that causes them to react the way they do when you start a genocide route, but I honestly don't think the genocide ending holds a lot of lore credit. As good as Toby is, he's not infallible, and I think the genocide ending was written more to scare and deter you than it was to hold some deeper Undertale insight
@@ari638Just wanted to say that the the first human to fall down has no cannon name(from my knowledge) so the entire fandom called them Chara to a point it became canon. Also, there is actual lore ti genocide. We, the player, are constantly killing to a point where we essentially drive Chara to full on madness.

Undertale is just so good. Toby just added so many emotions to people, and those animations make those emotions EVEN better... The fact that your choices will SO STRONGLY change the game, to a point you can be a killer or a really good friend.... Also its so GREAT that toby tried to make you feel in the game, like the characters are talking to you, and know that you respawn and stuff. Hey lads, remember when these were everywhere? These four, Gaster and more. The first two are probably the best since they actually had an idea that matched. Both choruses had the words 'LOVE' in the same way but different meaning. I also find more nostalgia for those two. Also Sans and Chara are arguably the best singers of the lot.

My only issue with Chara, Frisk and Papyrus' 'responses' is that they were made more because of Sans' than the original song. The ones I have the most cripes with are Frisk's and Papyrus'. It's less of an issue with the song and more of how they were made more because 'Hey, these two are important to the Genocide Route (Frisk not really but you play as them), so they should have 'responses'. Frisk makes sense with the premade 'context', being the end of the Genocide Route, but Papyrus is dead at this point.
Good songs, but I have a few issues with the concept of Papyrus'.

San's animation in Clara's version seems most like his actual feelings toward the fight; resigned. He doesn't want to fight, if there's even the slightest change to save the player's soul and have then reset to a good ending, he'll do it. He knows he will most likely die, however.
these songs aged well, still remember the first time i stumbled upon this fandom and after a while like most fandoms i fell out of it, nice to jog those memories back into my mind
I'm gonna be honest if it weren't for the amazing songs and lyrics you tubers have provided, I would probably be one slip away from falling out of the Undertale fandom. I am slowly losing interest in the actual gameplay and comics, but it has such good music, I will be holding on to the "fandom cliff" for quite a while. I am determined to keep a really strong grip just for the music, and even climb back up onto the ledge and I encourage other people to use determination to keep holding on, to climb, find explore more Undertale content and listen to the amazing music for all eternity.
Edit: I wrote this comment five years ago. I have now played the game myself, and it will always have a place in my heart even though it is no longer my main interest.

Then there’s me… who’s gone down that route 4-5 times and won most of the Sans fights, dying less and less, having completed my most recent play through on that route without having died once in the entire route, even if I got close a few times… admittedly I feel awful just saying that, not only with having to live with my virtual sins of killing them all multiple times but it just kinda feels arrogant and bigheaded saying “hey I’ve done this multiple times and my most recent attempt was where I survived completely” :/

I've spent a lot of time thinking about things and Undertale may be the only game to ever fully make you understand what the consequence of taking another like is like for some it's endless guilt but other's that are more like Chara it has no effect the No Mercy ending is one of the worst things you can do yet it answers questions that were left unanswered in the true pacifist ending. The only way you can get the full story of Undertale is if you kill everyone in the Underground Toby Fox did a great job making Undertale. It makes you see the monsters as people that mean something and not just bits of code that stand in your way I know this video is old but new people will see it every day. This game really makes you think the game makes you feel bad for hurting others and shows what can happen if you do take Asriel for example he's the only character that didn't get a happy ending in that route and honestly that hurts in fact if anyone deserves a happy ending it's Asriel this game just hits you everywhere in the feels/

I just now realized how important the belief that Chara is responsible is in the fandom. It is pretty common, despite being mainly false according to how the game works (even if it is much easier to create headcanons with that version, it tends to confuse most people)
Chara is actually not responsible at all for the genocide route, the player is the one responsible. That’s just what it is, the player plays the game, resets to get all endings, and in one run, wonders "what would happen if I killed every monster?" to then do it out of curiosity.
The genocide route isn’t about Chara getting revenge, or becoming mad, it’s about how far a player can go in a world that isn’t theirs, capable of murdering every living being just out of curiosity.
Chara is only the "angel" described in the prophecy told by the rune delta, the one that "comes from the surface, and will free all monsters" (that one being both Asriel freeing them from the barrier in the pacifist route, and Chara, putting an end to the world, freeing the monsters from their locked life at the same time)

Surely the angel is frisk again, who can actually free all monsters or kill all monsters on certain runs rather than just making an attempt. Chara (that's not even really their name but I'll use it for convenience) was the first human, and a deeply troubled child who probably experienced a lot of trauma on the surface to make them venture up the mountain of no return and wish death on all humanity via any means. I reckon its this mental illness/trauma that causes them to react the way they do when you start a genocide route, but I honestly don't think the genocide ending holds a lot of lore credit. As good as Toby is, he's not infallible, and I think the genocide ending was written more to scare and deter you than it was to hold some deeper Undertale insight
@@ari638Just wanted to say that the the first human to fall down has no cannon name(from my knowledge) so the entire fandom called them Chara to a point it became canon.
Also, there is actual lore ti genocide. We, the player, are constantly killing to a point where we essentially drive Chara to full on madness.

Undertale is just so good. Toby just added so many emotions to people, and those animations make those emotions EVEN better... The fact that your choices will SO STRONGLY change the game, to a point you can be a killer or a really good friend.... Also its so GREAT that toby tried to make you feel in the game, like the characters are talking to you, and know that you respawn and stuff. Like if Undertale makes you cry (no matter what end because both Pacifist and murder ends made me cry)
