    Nice ride. I am picking up my first truck in about a week (I'm jumping from a big rig into hotshot). It's a 3500 Tradesman HO 4.10. It does come with a 400w inverter, which is nice.
    I'm curious to see how it pulls for you.

    Just so everyone knows..
    1) you can get a 50 gal tank with 8ft beds
    2) the 8.4 screen is a $800 ish option but available
    3) I would just wiring the inverter hardwired instead of putting it through that jack anyway… and there is a 12 v in the console
    I totally agree about it NOT having Michelin tires
    Beautiful truck and it will be interesting to see how that 68rfe holds up

      Bought a 2015 3500 with Cummings HO engine and AS69RC transmission and toe triple axle stock trailer and 30 ft tandem axle flatbed and no issues over 270k, and still going strong. Going to upgrade to at BD turbo and exhaust manifold for bit increase in turbo, plus deleted my EGR and exhaust with 3 mpg gain .

    Beautiful truck and your graphics are very well designed and looks awesome. Buying a 22 ram dually h.o aisin first option picked 50 gallon tank $295 then upgraded to 4:10’s $145. The Nexen tires I don’t get it either why not at least Firestone’s hope they don’t suck as bad as I think they will. How are they holding up for your truck.?

      Lol on both rams I’ve had the center tread line in the rears have lost its pattern by 20k miles. They’re trash but they’ll probably last you about 40k. I’d definitely swap them out before then if it were my truck 👍👍

    I just drove the ram and ford 350s and the ford rides way better not even comparable. Am I missing something? I own a 13 cummins now and probably going with ford.

    • @LoadMizer
      @LoadMizer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a lot of people let form over function cloud their judgement between them. Yes, the Ram looks better than the Ford…and it has a Cummins. That’s seriously not a guide to go by when comparing the 2. You actually tested both, which most won’t do and there are a lot more perks when it comes to this line of work that the Ford offers besides the ride. The ride is definitely noticeable to me though, it’s even magnified under a load which you can’t do testing them at a dealership. That’s all I can come up with as to why people are so obsessed with the Rams.

    I have a 2021 Ram 3500 Tradesman level 2 . So bigger screen , inverter in the cab a 120 volt 20 plug in the bed. H.O with the aisin , 4x4 and 50 gallon tank and 4:10 gears. It pulls great and is comfortable. I like leather and all that but for the price , and being built to work I couldn't be happier. Also they went back to the cp3 fuel pump in 21 . The cp4 is in the 19 and 20 and Fords and Chevy.

    • @LoadMizer
      @LoadMizer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think that for as long as these trucks will last, the lower trim levels are the way to go. A lot of comfort features can be added aftermarket for way cheaper than the factory options, plus they’re not being rolled into finance, insurance value or property value.

    • @Hectorthainspector
      @Hectorthainspector 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed , at the end of the day it's all about what works for you. In my case I was a crane operator for 15 years and decided to drop that and start HS as a owner op. One thing I've learned about equipment is it gets used thoroughly and also starting out I would rather carry the note on a 51k truck vs a 75k truck. Besides when I get to tow pig status maybe then I can get the leather and heated seats etc 🤣

    • @LoadMizer
      @LoadMizer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Open deck and for the mileage involved your price will vary based on several things. If I were pricing this I’d charge $850 to take it there if I had nothing else going that way and had to book my trailer using your car as a staple. If I was already going that way and your car was enroute I’d probably throw it on for $700. 👍

      Cab and chassis is the way to go car hauling. With the wedge setups you’re restricted by length so a chassis truck eliminates that issue because you can register as a Truck tractor. Also it allows you to get a low profile wedge which helps stability and allows you to strap everything from the ground. No more step ladders for the front vehicle.

    All the things that you are complaining about that it doesn’t have are options. My 21 tradesman has the big screen and a 50 gal tank but I paid over 1k for those two options because they were that important to me. I have vinyl seats and floors and the basic white work truck look with the old school manual 4wd shifter on the floor. You still have an awesome looking beast of a truck.

They used to have properly equipped Rams but since 2018 they started only having those low tow rating Rams that barely pull 20K. Good friend of mine also car hauling destroyed the trans in one of them back in 2019. Needless to say we both only take F350's now.

    • @peytonindustries5062
      @peytonindustries5062 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For max towing you need AS69RC trans and 4.10 Rear diff gear. Dually with 68RFE trans is basically a 3/4 truck (towing ability) with a slightly higher payload rating because of the 2 extra rear tires. No good for towing over 20K. We are pulling 4car trailer at 25K GVWR and a 5car trailer at 30K GVWR.

I am almost willing to bet money you have a 19800 towing rating Ram as that is what Enterprise orders. Just check the curb weight of the cars you load. You can most likely get away with for a while since truck is new. The one that failed on us didn't quit until about 50K miles. You will know if you have trans issues, keep an eye on trans temperature guage. Once the trans starts reading high heat Temps all the time, it won't be long after that it breaks and maybe leave you stranded loaded on the road in the middle of nowhere.
