Just link an other switch to this channel(arm) and you can fly without using the rr-manipulated switch.

The Ultra Wide FOV option on the DJI Action 2 is just too wide for FPV. I wish people would start using the Wide FOV option.

I like the fingerprint security on my phone, but it almost never works so I can't use it. We had a finger print time clock at my work too but had to get rid of it because it couldn't read my fingerprints and it never worked for anyone 100% of the time.

Careful, the FAA will find a way to use that with their remote I.D, to prevent you from even arming your quad. I really don't see a legit use case for a biometric scanner on an R/C controller. If it's a safety thing, a two stage power switch would suffice.

I think if this industry is to survive there needs to be more support for anonymity. Nobody wants to get into a hobby tha requires all this work ahead of time, they just want to pick up an rtf and go! Things like wifi connection and biometrics are cool and easier for some, but that's how things eventually become requirements.
In a hobby known for its extensive use of free and open-source software, you guys took the most closed-down controller and made it even more closed-down? 🙄

What happens if the fingerprint module were to die in mid flight? Does it stay armed or disarm?
Well its powered off the radio battery, so the whole radio would be dead.
It would disarm since the switch state passes through the module then to the radio's computer, unless they have some system that defaults the channel to on by default, like a special relay or something.

That wouldn’t work. The default state is disarmed.
What happens if you unplug the fingerprint module? Will it just not allow you to arm?
No. The default state is an open circuit for the arm switch. All the details are in the HackMakeMod episode.
