That old tractor Cooper was driving is the same kind I remember seeing when I was a boy in kindergarten we all stood and watched the farmer who most of use at least knew the name of driving around on that same kind of tractor . That seemed like the worlds biggest machine to most of us. Glad to see you kept it and kept it running.
I'm a 59 almost 60 year old man myself, working on a farm for a day or 7 is on my bucket list, my old man said EVERYONE , should work on a farm or a ranch where your food is grown for at least a week so that no one takes for granted what we pick up so easily on the market shelves. I work at an industrial bakery (Franz U.S. Bakery in Oregon and work with very similar systems of flour delivery your farm does, we have a minimum of 1,000,000 lbs. of flour on premises at all times....when stuff goes south the clean ups are EPIC...Would love to work with you guys sometime free of charge (goes without saying)...I should pay you just for the privilaged experience!

Right hand auger is money. It makes 100% sense as your looking over all your controls. One thing I've noticed is how many youtubers work their fields clockwise which I just can't fathom as your twisting at a farther angle away from your controls. I guess we just always ran counter clockwise and I ran custom application looking right so working an acute angle with my body. I'm a farm manager in Eastern Nebraska and Brandon is correct, we just aren't seeing tar spot wide spread....yet Our local coop agronomy guy has been arguing with his uppers about getting chemical pricing sooner. What happened the last year or two was this. Farmer comes in and buys seed early for discount and to lock in the seed technology he wants. Then chemical pricing comes out after the first of the year and you're essentially somewhat "stuck" with whatever the chemical package you need costs, you maybe would've chose xtend vs enlist for example if the chemical was higher on one side. My agronomy guy wants it available at the same time so we know what the whole in field package will cost.
Cole you are right about your children learning Spanish my wife was born and raised in the Republic of Panama our daughter was born in Panama also and gained US CITIZENSHIP through birth right and lived her 1st 5 years in Panama she learned Spanish 1st before even speaking any English she understood English but didn't learn it until my wife and her came to the US in 1998 and last year my wife worked her butt off for 3 months and became a US CITIZEN and yes I'm very PROUD of both of them

Great video today Cole. I have just the opposite problem with weight. I’m 73 and not as active as I used to be. It’s a constant struggle not to gain weight. On another topic, I really enjoy your videos. My family farmed in Kansas before moving to Ohio before I was born. Although I’ve never farmed I swear the farming gene is in me. I am constantly looking and commenting to my wife on farmers fields when we’re traveling in the state. I’ll stop the car and watch wheat harvest in June. It drives my wife crazy! I’ve learned so much about modern day farming from your videos. Somewhere deep inside of me there’s a farmer hiding.

Those mini carrots have extra chemicals sprayed in them. You are eating healthy food. Have you given thought to this? Eating so close to when you go to bed can be very hard on your major organs. My understanding is that it is hard on all major organs which includes your heart. Please do more research about this! I’ve watched you sincere beginning and appreciate your content!! Congratulations on the coming addition! My title of "Dad" is by far my favorite and most rewarding (second only to "Husband"). I always look forward to the next installment.
This is an idea on something I did in handling spent grain.m, but the concept might also work for you. Although we had spent grain storage, the fundamental law of tanks states that you always need one more tank than you have. And installing tanks is very expensive. So we poured a concrete pad and purchased several empty trailers. So we loaded directly from the dryer into the trucks, then jockied them to the drop pad. The hauler would drop the empty trailer, hook up the full trailer and head out down the road. He was able to make two additional round trips each day because he didn’t have to wait for us to load his trailer. We actually started with one empty, and eventually added many more. We didn’t buy brand new, but eventually we started doing mostly direct loading. Each trailer held about 50,000 lbs, and they were much cheaper than building the equivalent storage tank. And best of all, no double handling of the grain. Of course I was dealing with union paid workers so time REALLY was money. But we only used one cab with something like 16 drop trailers , And eventually the trucking company was providing the drop trailors. We did the jockeying and they did the hauling.
Hilariously, harvest is my least favorite time of year. Which is ridiculous considering the channel I'm watching. I'm here for the family and the thought process behind shaking up the way things have always been done. I NEVER miss a video and love seeing your family and farm changes. I may be the minority here, but I watch the harvest videos, too, but I love watching your content! Also cant wait for the bin site video. I HATE how unsafe it is. Seeing you guys climbing up there just about gives me a heart attack.
Cole might consider renting a light plant for a month or so to put at driveway you are using to help the drivers of the semi trucks see. I’m curious to see what the inter crop would do at a combine header width. So you I aren’t beating up the beans.
I work for AGCO, I haul the parts for the challenger and fendt, Massey Ferguson, titan tractors and sprayers.I drive a semi and haul the parts from the suppliers to the factory in Jackson, mn. Where they are built.
Cole - any time you slide a truck off a road, and you don't have to call the guy with the million dollar tow truck, you come out way ahead. Good thinking on the spot, and well done!

Agreed! I've spent 3 months working on a beef cattle farm/bird nature reserve and it was a fantastic time. Good honest hard work as well.

Although we had spent grain storage, the fundamental law of tanks states that you always need one more tank than you have. And installing tanks is very expensive. So we poured a concrete pad and purchased several empty trailers. So we loaded directly from the dryer into the trucks, then jockied them to the drop pad. The hauler would drop the empty trailer, hook up the full trailer and head out down the road. He was able to make two additional round trips each day because he didn’t have to wait for us to load his trailer. We actually started with one empty, and eventually added many more. We didn’t buy brand new, but eventually we started doing mostly direct loading. Each trailer held about 50,000 lbs, and they were much cheaper than building the equivalent storage tank. And best of all, no double handling of the grain. Of course I was dealing with union paid workers so time REALLY was money. But we only used one cab with something like 16 drop trailers , And eventually the trucking company was providing the drop trailors. We did the jockeying and they did the hauling.
Hilariously, harvest is my least favorite time of year. Which is ridiculous considering the channel I'm watching.

Cole might consider renting a light plant for a month or so to put at driveway you are using to help the drivers of the semi trucks see.

I work for AGCO, I haul the parts for the challenger and fendt, Massey Ferguson, titan tractors and sprayers.I drive a semi and haul the parts from the suppliers to the factory in Jackson, mn. Where they are built.
