18-Years After Starting Construction, My Workshop Is Done!

- In today's episode, we rented a huge trailer to haul away a giant scrap metal pile on our farm, plus we visited Grandma Judy to fix her car and point out all the rats in her basement (joking), we made a supply trip to store, located a plot at the cemetery for an upcoming funeral, hooked up the heat and electricity in my new workshop and I installed a brand new garage door opener. I think it is safe to say my workshop is complete....well...besides the last couple items we need to get wrapped up!

Wrap every exhaust joint with metal-foil tape. Not duct tape, which is a total fail on ducting, but metal-foil tape. Even the silicon sealant can leak, but the foil tape will seal every opening and ensure no leaks. Roman is an awesome addition to the Cornstar team.
Don’t worry! In that big garage and checking with soap /water. He will find every single leak.
Really like seeing coop on the vids lately. Always know he's hard at work in the background, just nice to see him represented.

Anyone that thinks this family farm makes much money has only to notice the mom works, and they do part time work at the cemetery. Farms accumulate lots of things, but money aint one of them. The fact they don’t hide their faith speaks well of them.

Most family farms make enough to money to continue operating and that is about it.
Then there's the money he earn from youtube, so yes he does earn a fair bit of money.

Said every farmer to his hired help, as they pull in a brand new pick up. Thats why around here the Mexicans have moved on from the farms 😁.

I think Roman’s main job is to keep Cole between the ditches as we say down here in the South. I love their banter with each other and Roman walking back and forth while Cole is talking is hilarious. They show you can work hard and have fun doing it. Entertaining episode.

Cole, they aren't really left and right hand snips. They are designed to cut left and right into material. They material is pushed up on their respective sides. An example would be cutting a U channel. Always cut so that the waste side of the snip is out. This will keep the snips from bending the finished material and moves the waste up and out of the way. Hopefully that makes sense.
Cole, I am a proud team member of Menards, I'm a kitchen designer. I work at the Indy South store which is on the south side of indianapolis. I'm just thrilled that you're in the store and I can see exactly where you're at, and put back all those mushrooms kits... LOL

@Cole - That vent is twist-lock, or snap lock; shove it in until it's bottomed and turn it, it locks. Then screw it. Or, if snap-lock, shove it in until you feel it snap into place, then screw it.
With both styles it needs to be aligned correctly before pushing the pieces together.
Cole, get ya a Carbon Monoxide detector and slowly walk it down those connections when running to double check. Soap is good but not perfect. Looks great though.

For your information, the left-handed and right handed tin snips does not mean to use with your right hand or left hand what it means is to make a left-handed circle or right handed circle when you’re cutting the den

If you have other LP tanks on your farm , you can get a wet line on your big tank to fill your small tanks.

I guess that’s a lesson learned concerning reading directions before assembly as opposed to after assembly. Unless you like doing work 2 or 3 times.
the pompom was an economically sound embellishment, as it could be scrapped together with leftover yarn. Finally, sailors used to wear hats with pompoms on them to protect them from bumping their heads in tight spaces or when the seas were rough.

I love the satisfaction of seeing these small projects get finished. If you have the contacts, it would be cool to see a TH-cam carpenter work with you to build some work benches in this shed.
The lift does not need to be running to LOWER the deck. Leave the battery power on and the joy stick will function to release hydraulics and let you gently down.
You can tell you've never used a scissor lift if you didn't know they extend out damn farmers lol. Turn your drill down to the slower speed or you will burn your hole saw bit up right away and if the metal gets to hot it will harden and be way harder to cut through just something I've learned over a few years of doing it!
Thanks for your input! Tried both and drilled different materials with different bits of different diameters throughout years, so just believe me that it had to be done that way 🙂

That opener is using a twisted pair cable. It is the same type of wiring "cabling" that was used for old time telephone systems in your house. Made connections easy as each color had a twin color with white alternating. So when someone talks abouta 25 pair cable, now you know.

Cole. You have to be careful with the spray foam. Some of them are flammable and will burn. I found out the hard way with my woodstove and my newly constructed home. Yes, it caught fire and burnt part of the house. Check with the insulation company.

Looking good and heat will be great. May wanna keep that double box at light switch and just throw in another plug if it can handle it. Always good to have an extra plug.
When I ran my wood stove and pellet stove vents, I used automotive high heat silicone (red stuff). May not be right, but it’s worked great for 10 years. I had same issue between the single wall and double wall pipe transition…the silicone fixed it up. May look into some plug in stall fans to circulate air to help move hot air at ceiling downward.
