Hello everyone! Episode 2 is already released to supporters on Patreon! you can sign up here to see it. Episode 3/4 will be coming out soon as well for Patreon. I have current build photo postings on there and have been updating each time something new is done to the bike! It's looking soooo sick!
I like your build better because guys like Adam Paganelli or Cameron Niemela are building awesome bikes, but they really don't do them justice when it comes to riding. So it's good to whatch this series knowing the bike's gonna be used for what it's made for
Can you do a tutorial on how to clean the carburetor on this bike? I have an 03 250 and can’t really find any helpful videos on TH-cam and my bike is bogging out a little. Thanks and awesome video and steal on the price for that bike!
First of all im stoked to see a build series coming up Second im looking to get into dirtbike this summer i am hesitant between a 125(maybe a ktm150) or a 250 both two strokes im 26yo 6feets 200pounds what are your thoughts I already have road bike experiences with an mt09 Thanks keep it up
go 250 if you'll be in the woods and a 125 if you're going to be doing specifically motocross. 250s are a very versatile and well rounded bike, quite reliable compared to 125s, and not nearly as sensitive to jetting... The only downside is that they are twitchy bastards on a motocross track and will stunt your learning in that environment. although be prepared for a rude awakening in the dirt, if you've already had some experience in the dirt than thats good. Although experience on the street doesn't really help dirt like it does vise-versa... The dirt is a bitch and i wish you the best of luck with it mate!
Supergringo92 it’ll be a lot for off-road riding at first but being a bigger guy you’d find the 125/150 to be very difficult to ride I think. They have very little bottom end torque. If you’ve ridden an mt09 you should be okay in a 250 2T. Just ride a gear high and watch out for the powerband! You’ll figure it out!
900 ball hairs??? Jeezz that's a steal. I can't even find a clapped out one for less then 1200 around here. Been looking for a project yz 250 for 2 months now
I waited 5 years for this bike haha. Friends dad had it and I've drooled over it since highschool. I guess I waited long enough that he was ready to let her go to another good home!
@@BeRAD well it was well worth the wait huh, that thing is in mint condition!! I want one by like the end of winter though lmao most likely going to end up paying around 1500 for a decent one
It'll be pretty fast-paced. Not too much detail. Like, I'm not showing me replacing bearings and stuff. expect 4-6 episodes of similar length all said and done. (:
Hell yeah, I’m looking to get a steel frame yz250 so I can build my CRF, are you going to be putting on any sort of light on this bike? I’m curious because I’ve heard the stock stator isn’t any good and nobody makes one
I plan to make it street legal because it may become a supermoto one day. Haven't planned any of that out yet though. Just an oofroad bike for now. No lights.
@@imdestructive7624 Ill freshen it up soon, but nothing big. As long as it runs and operates smoothly, that's all I care about. Id rather work on my riding skills than the bike haha
Duuuuuuuuuuude! How are you? I like the new channel! Took a break from social media and missed yo shit! Glad you came to the dark side and started hammering off-road! Keep it up brotha!
Aden Welsh-Alix is that the guy building that 2 smoke that I sometimes see on Instagram? Red cylinder head? I have not been haha. But if that’s who you’re talking about, I have heard of him yes.
If you want to paint the frame and not pay the outrageous pricing for powder coat, I strongly suggest you buy a can of YZ Blue Paint... I use it on all my bikes, and it lasted me years. Check it out on my page/build hha
Goon Rides hmmm maybe 2003+ then. Or the 125’s has Mikuni. Mine is a 2003 contrary to what I said in the video. Title says 2003 but I got in my head it was a 2002. I’ve looked it up and there is almost no difference between the years for the 250.
I payed 850 for a 98yz250 fresh rebuilt motor and he didn’t know what was wrong with it it was cdi and stator easy fix that thing runs great and is fast af
David Rockwell I’m friends with previous owner and that’s what they said. It doesn’t take much to wear down the cover and frame. After my first ride on it, the frame wear almost doubled lol. Sand here in Michigan is very abrasive. And you can tell the tires were 16 years old by how hard they were gahaha
I have an 03 that I’ve been building up over the years, everything is done and I started to ride it and now the forks started leaking so now I’m about to send them and the rear shock off to factory connection, any thoughts on them?
I have the same bike if you want to remove the yellow off the plastics and graphics I took mine and soaked them in super hot water and vinegar and used a scotch pad. It comes off like wax.
For a Yz 250 in that condition you would easily pay 2000+€ in germany :/ The prices are really high cause there is more demand that offers and motocross is not that popular...

@@BeRADwill that style rear master cylinder fit a 2001 yz250?
$900 is an absolute steal for a 2002 YZ250 that has the original plastics and graphics, original tires, and original seat cover haha
yeah, seriously. I bought a 1998 YZ250 that was sitting around on a farm for $800. I had to rebuild the whole bike. This 02 is a steal
RacerRed honestly... I picked up a 1998 YZ125 for $700... power was amazing, suspension ehhh probably the worst I have ever seen.
For real! In California you can’t find a YZ250 for less than $1500 and that’s for a 2000 anything ‘02+ is posted for like $3k
dnbjunky lol that 2002 for $3,000 is mine. Check my channel out lol
I got one for 400 and rebuilt the engine
I'm a simple man. I see a new BeRad video, I click like.
Runs like a dream hyped for build series
Good shit. Can't wait to see how it turns out, ive got my 96 apart and getting rebuilt for woods riding. Cylinder off getting sleeved and ported now.
you already know its gonna b lit when Brad´s outro is the intro :D really cool build tho
Sigmund Smith haha I switched it up so that the annotations at the end don’t overlay my outro!
You just earned yourself a sub, really stoked for this build!
Full Size Adventures great to have you onboard!!!
Excited to see the final product!
Holy shit!? A BeRad and Subie Moto upload! Woah..

Like the new filming style when off the bike. Hope to see more vids of you killing it!!
Brad, I hope it's not just me, but michigan weather has been a bitch, not even good winter riding conditions, love the vids
That's pretty much a new bike for 900$. What a steel .
Nice bike wish I could find good deals like that.
Keep up the good work fun to watch.
I'm stoked for this build, my favorite bike getting a series... hell yea
Actually a really well done video👍🏼
Nice video! The yz is looking clean already, I really like the stock looks👌
That thing has soo much power it’s not even funny
Love the video, here in my country that bike cost about 5000 usd and not in that perfect condition that was so cheap, take care
Wow 900 bucks that's crazy cheap man great find!!
Cool, can't wait to see the next one👍
Cant wait. I love me a good build series.
Love these type of videos. Want to do it to my own bike
What a nice project. Hyped to see more!
Why dose all the comments 2 weeks ago wen the video only just came out
Patreon supporters get to see things early!
Sounds like it has a new rebuild in it.
Bikes N' Guns it just has very low hours! Never rebuilt
@@BeRAD huh, alright cool beans
THANK GOD I SUBSCRIBED! TOO HAPPY RN
Nice video ive been doing the same thing with my 01 yz250f wish i had a camera to film it like u did thats cool

when the '02 is better than the '16... lol
this is such an awesome bike
Did you check the tention of the wheels spokes and how straight it runs that might just be a good thing to check in general
VtecGoesBwaahh wheels are being replaced. 😎
cool video buddy. I'm already subscribed.
Yes finally! I've been waiting on this
Can't wait to see it,,,,
That was realy good deal :D Also i have the "little brother" a '02 yz125 :D love it :3
Those things rip👊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
I rebuilt a 2004 yz250 and turned it into a all black trails Enduro machine.

Put a Trailtech Kickstand and a Lectron Carb on it.
If you had to pick 1, new YZ250 or 250X for fast atv trails/free ride
Wow
I believe that the carburetor is a non OEM one... don’t trust me, google it. Just saying, I see Mikuni’s on them
Goon Rides Yamaha has always ran Keihin carbs at least since 2002. It’s the stock one for sure. Anyway, it’s getting replaced 😎
