Im so glad we will have your data and builds going into poe2, really appreciated your LE content and will be checking in to see what you discover! Stay sane
I'm playing Freezer Burn Giant's Blood Infernalist. 2H Mace in one hand, Shield in the other. Cast on Ignite + Cast on Melee Stun + Cast on Freeze. Str stacking, Resolute Technique, Endurance Charges, etc.. OR if daggers are better I'll just use dagger instead.
Just an FYI, unless a skill explicitly states that it uses both weapons if dual wielding, it will just alternate on using those two weapons. So Hammer of the Gods and Giant's Blood is will not trigger what you are theorizing about a "giga smash"
That's disappointing. Maybe 2H+Shield is the play then. It's been years since I've played PoE but I assume you still benefit from the stat stick aspect of wielding both for the non localized stats, seems like there will be some pretty powerful affixes
@FrozenSentinel Don't fret yet 😄 You can use the offhand for priming stun or breaking armour while your main hand deals all the damage! The localized stats are different but that utilizes Giant's blood very well. If you do want to use both weapons simultaneously, "Sunder" uses both when dual wielding 🙂
Base crit node is probably not necessarily if you're playing an occult/cold spell. Cold spells have 13% crit, bone spells have 15% crit already. On top of that, you can apply crit vulnerability, which can give you up to 10% extra base crit. Btw, the bleed node should work with spells in poe2. I think blood magic is also going to be on almost every blood mage build, no matter how you build it. Your arc supports look a bit messed up. Empower cull doesn't support skills directly, it supports stuff like warcries that empower other skills (which then gain cull if they exert the warcry).
On base crit point yea, you could be right. As mentioned my party will have some lightning synergy so I wanted to explore that idea, lightning spells have 9/10% ish crit so getting +5/6 from that node. By crit vulnerability do you mean crit weakness? I already apply that with eye of winter. There is a diminishing returns on flat base crit between this and the blood mage tree so it might make the crit from blood mage unnecessary. Could be worth dropping if it turns out I need the defense, I agree. Yea I put very little thought into which supports to use, there are likely many good ones we haven't seen yet and a lot can still change so looking to figure it out as we go.
@@FrozenSentinel Ah yeah, crit weakness. I do think eye of winter + more duration is going to be an impactful support for crit builds. Are you playing in a group? I missed that.
Chances are every ARPG is going to have a lot of RNG components, especially the online ones, I don't expect PoE 2 to be any different. Might be more forgiving than LE though, hard to say this early.
Thanks for the video! I'm going to start with a elemental monk. With meditate you gain ES and want to try the mana conversion and more damage per mana nodes to try to recreate some of your elemental builds in Last Epoch (the most fun I have playing and ARPG)
Monk is such a big wildcard, honestly looks like one of the coolest options but so many unknown interactions. Definitely a lot of opportunity to experiment :)

The cool thing about weapon swap is that every class can run Hammer of the Gods. The skill is so strong that I think we will see it everywhere.
Oh I'm so glad you will play POE2 I would absolutely love what you will cook
Hopefully more people will actually figure a build out of their own with PoE2
I'm gonna just have fun with it, might see about a melee merc first. I am really interested in the spear skills too though.
Give it some time, it'll come. A lot of us like myself haven't touched PoE in years, a lot of mechanics and systems to learn and re-learn.

let's goo poe2 frozensentinel thanks

From the datamine it seems like Hammer of Gods does work with dual wield; poe2db.tw/us/Hammer_of_the_Gods

yo u also jump on the hype train? sick, looking forward to another round of PhD lessons with Frozen

@@Sidnv Yea that's the plan, have some lightning synergy
miss you FS!
I do not think you can double dip, neither on "get X as extra"
Ah damn, disappointing
Who are you partying with at launch?
Looks like Curse and friends, should be a lot of fun!
you gonna play last epoch again?
yea
nice, i will tune in when you play :) will you invest as much time as you did in LastEpoch?
Can't really say this early, really depends how fun it is!
I will wait and see the RNG system first, i don't want a horrible RNG experience like Last Epoch

@@FrozenSentinel as long as it doesn't have tat horrible slamming gambling system we should be good

Bonk mage. Stack Str and defenses and just bonk nonstop. Once we get sword class we can swap to the true S2W playstyle.
I need you to play Sorc so I can get a good build.
am i cooked for wanting to play crossbow titan?
Crossbow deadeye looking pretty spicy, but yeah Titan can be generically good with the small node boost / generally useful defense nodes
i'd rather use 2h-mace + shield
nah thats not how it works , you do the build that drops for you
RNGesus take the wheel
rain of arrows 🤮
