In Waterfall, Chara was getting used to it, and telling the player that there's no going back now, to not leave. In the Core, where we are now, Chara is now encouraging the player to continue killing, not caring. Well dang.

My version of Chara makes her kinda evil and kinda neutral, being corrupted by the humans killing them. In a pacifist route they lose all their evil and become good like before, realizing that not all humans are bad. In a genocide route they get even more corrupted than they already are, joining in the fun and killing Sans, Asgore and reluctantly (since its asriel) Flowey.
I just realized something about the end screen. not just that it shows who's still alive. I also noticed who's there at the beginning. And who _isnt_. Alphys is there, despite not being fought in normal Genocide. Alphys Takes Action, anyone? I mean, all the others are people you can fight, and I seem to recall a certain comment on Discord about certain people who didn't put up a fight in the actual game putting one up here. also of note is that they skipped muffet. I mean, they walk past her stand, and even the opera place and the hotel, so...(Although that would mean you're ignoring the game logic, as in the actual game, the only reason you can get through Hotland is because Alphys left Muffet an escape route. Also, are Frisk's eyes _open_?!
The only one who hasn't put up a fight so far is Paps. But that's understandable, since without going full Disbelief mode A Geno paps fight wouldn't really stick out without the rest of the story being built up to that point ((Which it isn't.)

This is a very chilling song. It really makes you feel the monsters' despair and drives home how badly the player has corrupted Chara since the Ruins. It also makes you feel like you're approaching the point of no return, which is fitting because the CORE is the player's last chance to abort the Genocide run without resetting.

What people think: Chara took control over Frisks body and did genocide alongside the Player. What actually happened: Frisk and the Player started a genocide, slowly convincing Chara to join them.

This song is so chilling and makes any pacifist want to gain one bit of LOVE just to stop the Genocide. The monsters have given in to their fate. With Undyne gone they know they can't survive and instead of trying to resist they just lay down and accept their deaths. Damn...it they just wanted to be free.
That particular line is especially sad. The monsters are so close to getting out of the Underground. They have six souls, and the seventh human is there. But they know that they're too weak to kill the human, and as a result they will die right when victory is in their grasp.

This song is so chilling and makes any pacifist want to gain one bit of LOVE just to stop the Genocide. The monsters have given in to their fate. With Undyne gone they know they can't survive and instead of trying to resist they just lay down and accept their deaths. Damn...it they just wanted to be free.

That particular line is especially sad. The monsters are so close to getting out of the Underground. They have six souls, and the seventh human is there. But they know that they're too weak to kill the human, and as a result they will die right when victory is in their grasp.
I liked how in the real gane in hotland (if your doing genocide) the save point says 40 more monsters and You put that in the musical

Now, Chara is completely corrupted, what have you done Frisk? I love the sense of helplessness in this song. Now, the monsters know they'll die. Frisk got past Undyne, there's no hope.
Maybe if you think about it the count to kill the monsters on the genocide route increase more and more and more (I dont know how many are in the ruins and it could be more than in snowdin idk? But using it from snowdin to hotland) so if you think about it chara is at first trying their best to stop the player then is like ok alright but then encourages the player and maybe thats why the gap between waterfall and Hotland is so big either because chara is encouraging in hotland or hotland has a higher population.
