I get where you are coming from, but I'm judging my experience of the game itself and the time I have with it. It is true that I may find something different in the end game or with a sociable guild, but imo the game has to be enjoyable for me to get there. I subscribe to the notion that the game has to be good at all stages and for me it isn't. It's cool, plenty of people seem to really enjoy it and I kinda say as much in the video. It's just my opinion
If you didn't get to endgame, you can't really judge it in a meaningful way. The leveling process is basically just a drawn-out tutorial with a storyline.
My opinion is meaningful to my experience of the game and my time with it. If you like the game, good for you :) But I tend to think the game should be a good game all the way through, not just a drawn out tutorial with story line before you get to end game, which I am not so concerned with anyway.
It isn't the same in ESO, and I don't know how many other MMOs have controller support as I usually play on PC with mouse and keyboard. But, should what you say be true, then my opinion is still unchanged and I don't particulary like it. Just my opinion, obviously.
If you know what you are doing, you can get the same in an hour or two as you would by spending around 20 bucks. I have played 130 hours or so now, and am raiding in a high achieving guild on par with other players. I have the same weapon setup as people who have swiped to the max. There is "pay to win" sure, but it's extremely minor and most systems don't allow any insertion of premium currency. Hell, it's easier to swipe in WoW now with the wow token and rampant gold sellers in classic.
You're right, the majority of MMOs have monitization as does Throne and Liberty, there is no denying that, but the monitization was just one part of the game and my experience of it that I didn't particulary like. I will also concede that if I did like more of the game in general, maybe the monitization wouldn't bother me as much, as I probably do with other MMOs I play. Afterall, we all have biases, that's just human, but again it is just part of my opinion on why I, personally, don't like the game. I'm happy that other people like it, it's just not for me.
All the people that is saying that this is not P2W, just want to believe it, of course is P2W, you can buy all your gear with real money, and after lvl 50 gear comprehends like 90% of your build, yes you can't increase your abilities but that is something that doesnt require much time and that it doesnt make for much. I like the game becasue I love PVP games but at some point it just feels very grindy and that you need to "efficiently" make everythign to min-max everything, that's tiring
I'm not gonna sit here and shit on you for having an opinion, but I will say you can't buy your way to upgrading skills, that takes time and resources you have to collect through daily tasks and dungeons runs, both open world and co-op. you can sure buy everything else though!
So first your DL run of the game ran poorly because you didnt let it do the in client downloads. they will do them in the background while you can play causing lag.
The game is nothing like Lost Ark except that most Korean games look somewhat similar in their UI. The games isn't P2W like 99% of other Asian MMOS trust me I know I tried to whale my way to the top and got no where because you can't buy direct power. In fact the only thing you can buy is skins lol the game is actually a lot closer to GW2 in that way except in GW2 i can straight up buy a gen 1 legendary weapon. The games combat and mechanics isn't for everyone and i can see it being a point of dislike however to me it doesn't really feel that different to Archage and that game had reasonably good combat. I would say the game is mostly about PvP which you probably didn't even touch so you cant really give it a fair judgement if you haven't even played the main aspect of the game. The PvE is rather hard not as hard as Lost Ark but not easy either. I know you probably wont but you need at least 150+ hours in this game to really see what it has to offer.
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to respond to the video, I appreciate it and you do make some good points, but to suggest someone needs to play 150+hours is quite frankly an absurd amount of time. My review and opinion is based upon the parts of the game I played and experienced across the time I spent with it, I even say numerous that there is a decent game there, but I just don't vibe with it and if I am not enjoying it after 20 hours then I most defi itely am not gonna play it for another 130! It's cool, we don't all have to like the same game and my opinion on it are no indictment of someone that does like the game 👍
@@angerfartstv5071 I don't have any issue with you disliking the game after 20 hours for sure I can see why you wouldn't like the game and many other also don't like it. The game is arguably not as good as FF14 or GW2 or WOW but if you look at the game as it is intended which a "hardcore" PvP game it definitely in the top 3 MMO games. I think it has to be reviewed as such and comparing it to other story heavy / PvE games it will not compare very well. The 150 hours is to get in a good position to do PvP so you can truly see what the game has to offer and yes I agree that isn't a good thing having to wait so long for a game to get good but if play any other hardcore PvP its basically the same issue.
Haha, mate, just take it as a sign you haven't wasted your life! 😂 Also, not too sure there is much requirement for the side button in football manager 😉
Leveling is done in 2 days by completely unexperienced player because as people mentioned, its tutorial. Why? Because Vast MMORPG is not a fortnite or cs shooter, there are a lot of mechanics, new words, weird things you have to comprehend. But I can hear that your brain is deeply fried by weed so you dropped it in 20 hours cuz u got bored and didn't understand the point. Skill issue.
The "point" is to play a game and enjoy it, and if I enjoyed it, I wouldn't have got bored of it. I'm glad you enjoy it, good for you. And yes, I fried my brain with weed, and I loved every minute of it ;)
learning boss mechanics and the skill rotations of your class is not rocket science, mmos are one of the easiest type of games, fortnite is trash but cs go does require a lot of skill, same for rts games like age of empires 2 but not for mmos, not sure who you think you are fooling other than yourself.
Not true. You can get decent gear by just playing the game and upgrading blues. Epic items can be nice, but don't sleep on some of the set bonuses blues have to offer.
This review did a great job of convincing me to try Guild Wars 2 lmao
Excellent stuff. Stay tuned as I think my next video is gonna be "Why I love Guild Wars 2" :P
Whoops! I disabled comments rather than auto moderation, apologies. You can now tell me why you disagree with my opinion ;)
20hrs isn't enough time to fully experience the game imo. You should give it another crack with a fully active guild and your opinion might change.

Went from everyone’s entitled to an opinion to realizing oh this is just rage bait from some one who hasn’t played, nice vid tho!
It wasn't my intention, I just didn't vibe with the game 😂
@@angerfartstv5071 then play what u like u can make all the videos u want we out here playing!!
Bro you DO have a potato PC if it doesn’t do well on it.
EDIT: Oh wait, you used CIS. Your whole opinion is invalidated.
I knew that word would upset someone. Congratulations on it being you. 👍🎉

The controller config is the same in FFXIV and all other MMOS have u played anything other than guild wars?

i dont know about you but i play throne and liberty what on earth is frone AND LIBERTY
Bo'ol o wo'-a
It's a pvp mmo. You have played none of it.
I think it is a bit more than just that. Either way, I've played enough. Glad you're enjoying it though 👍
So first your DL run of the game ran poorly because you didnt let it do the in client downloads. they will do them in the background while you can play causing lag.
That's interesting to know. Maybe it told me and I missed something. Either way I got there eventually.

I don't disagree with your opinions, but casually dropping in "side mouse buttons" like it's the norm. When did this happen?

If you don't pay, you won't win in pvp.
