I learn a lot here but I don't ask dumb questions. Knowing your videos are great because of the staff (including the intern engineer), then still taking the camera in absence of your slick videographer, shows dedication. Hoping it's not too much for CJ to run a business and film.
Watching these build videos has really opened my eyes to what's involved in building a world beating car - this looks like the best race car I have ever seen. Great Job Guys!
It is so very cool to see projects like this start as a pile of tubes, nuts and bolts and continue through to a completed race car. I cannot wait to see what Eagle is capable of!! Thank you for posting this, as an avid Cleetus fan it will be so cool watching him blast off 5 second quarters knowing we saw where this all began.
Cameron you have a great group of guys . To see you Danny , Troy , the other guys explain there craft so well on video is awesome. Im sure it isnt easy but you all make informative videos better than any other race shop on youtube.
I love the devotion to safety and the clear focus on perfection. The angles and strength is insane in it's accuracy. It is almost like aviation construction accuracy.
I feel like Danny will forget more than I'll ever learn in a lifetime. The man is a wealth of knowledge, and really proves himself as one of the many assets at your shop. Wish I worked with guys like him when I was learning to be a grease monkey back in the day.
If i may make a suggestion. Look into a Gorbel shop crane with 2 hoists for use over the jig area. I think it would be safer and more efficient transferring the chassis and putting engines in. I used to install them and it is fairly simple to do. Other than that great work and quality
From the way it appears Cameron is doing things right, seems like everyone is happy being at work and he doesn't bark at them telling them what to do. For the most part the guys know what they are doing and do it very well! Got a good approach and good tact good qualities. Can only do well when leadership leads by example and not by orders.
hoping for speedy recovery for camera dude and his family. caught it for the first time a few weeks ago and man it was rough. never slept so much in my life lol
I'm a bridge guy at work, and one thing we do to strengthen the tension zones of concrete strectures (beams and columns) is we epoxy carbon fiber to the concrete. Wonder if something like that could be done to high tension areas of these cages without adding a bunch of weight. Like wrapping the tubes with carbon fiber. You could do a simple bend test, one bare tube of steel and one with carbon fiber and see if it can take more pressure.
@@CJRaceCars It works...we've done it on TransAm chassis. Everything has to wrap. That makes it difficult to add gusset panels. Also, your carbon guy has to know his stuff...for real.

What about a cantilever shutoff switch in the cabin? That would allow you to manipulate the length of throw/pull on the handle more. Switch the cable mount to the other side of the pivot point and you could easily lengthen where the cable mounts, giving you a shorter throw for the driver🤷🏼♂️

The second reason I think this is if the other car you are working on is a nitrous car but also a '69 the front end of Cleets chassis has trusses and looking at other photos of pro charged cars in your webpage cover, those have trusses, and they end right about where the fuel cell is on his car.
