    I recommend to put it in backwards so that the ugly wire clamp isn’t sticking out t the trigger.

    You should buy the brand x ascend dropper it is around $130 and runs amazing and has a good lever

    Good video considering the limited instructions provided with the one I just installed.I agree with others that it may not be the best but the quality seems good so far. Also you are very limited for a 27.2 seat tube diameter for the older bikes anyway and I just paid $95 at Ben's Cycles (WI) so I'm happy so far.

    Are you sure you installed the cable correctly? I'm sure the crimped end goes at the saddle end and the barrel end goes at the remote so you don't have that excess cable shooting out of the remote.

    You should buy a one up components dropper post

    Oh I also forgot to mention that the post has a 20mm offset which may put some folks off. For me that was a plus as my cockpit was a little cramped and this gives me some rearward adjustment rather than going for a longer stem.

    You need to put a dropper on your bike I have one and I use it so much it will change everything. I would recommend something 125mm or higher.

    Like Ryder said, the cable goes the other way. The black pinch bolt and end cap (on the end the you cut) goes on the seat post not the remote. th-cam.com/video/y37FU_MtWIU/w-d-xo.html

    you should get a rockshox reverb, fox transfer or cankbrothers highline dropper post

      Shred With Harley RockShox and Fox are just too expensive, $300 is way too much for a dropper post, the Crank Brothers Highline is just a little too long

    I just got mine yesterday and had a bike shop install it. It already has a problem where when it is up and I sit on it( without pushing the lever) it drops about a 1/4 inch.🤔any thoughts?

    • @DanielB4life
      @DanielB4life  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you ever have the bike flipped upside down, and push the post in? I’ve heard that if the bike is upside down, and you push the post in, it can create a vacuum, which sucks in some air. That then leads to a squishy post that doesn’t stay up all the time.

    • @mjb4671

      Thanks I haven’t tried that but definitely will. Thanks for the answer.👍🚵

    hello. What´s about quality of this dropper? Thanks

    • @DanielB4life
      @DanielB4life  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      heimar rosero the quality is pretty good considering the price. But the 100mm drop is pretty small, especially on bigger sized bikes. It’s been about 9-10 months and it’s been working pretty well, the “remote” on the bars is a little hard to push, but if you change out the cable and what not it should work flawlessly...

    Does a bike have to be compatible or dropper post “ ready” ? Or can any bike take that upgrade?

    • @larmishing
      @larmishing 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Willie almost any bike as long as the dropper post is the correct size

    • @parkerericson6500

      It’s also depends if the frame is internally routed or externally routed

    • @larmishing
      @larmishing 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Parker Ericson yeah but you can always put an external routed seatpost on a bike with internal routing.

    • @DanielB4life
      @DanielB4life  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bob Dixon the whole point of me using the Dremel was to get a nice, smooth cut. None of the pliers that I have would of given me that smooth of a cut, they would just pinch it and ruin the whole cable.

  • @larmishing
    @larmishing 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You guys installed it wrong. The little black thing with the cable sticking out of it is meant to be on the seat and the little metal nub is supposed to be on the remote. That way you don’t have the cable sticking out on the remote hitting your finger all the time. Look at any dropper post installed and you won’t see a cable sticking out of the remote. Not trying to be a dick cause I made this mistake once with the same dropper post. The cable frays a lot faster and cuts your hand every time you ride. So try putting the cable the other way around.

    • @DanielB4life
      @DanielB4life  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tanner 1126 Yeah, trial and error. After we were finished we realized that it was the wrong way around. I’ll try to put it the other way, but if it doesn’t work, I guess we can just leave it because it still works. When I install my dropper, I’ll make sure to not make this mistake. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    And you putted the prissoner the wrong way! The head of the cable should go at the command and the prissoner at the trigger in the post

  • @s2perman
    @s2perman 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Plz return the ks. Nothing but problems- seat goes down half way, won’t go up smoothly, than it drops 2 inches. On and on. Spend some $ on something you’ll always use on a bike. Go cheap, you buy twice.

  • @carlosalfonsolopezrodrigue7051
    @carlosalfonsolopezrodrigue7051 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The fuck you doing? Its more easy to cut the cable instead of destroy your frame!!!

    • @DanielB4life
      @DanielB4life  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is that destroying the frame? We aren't drilling into the actual frame... It's just a bracket that holds cables.
