Awesome authencity 😊
Always!
Love hearing about Warungs that are not in the main touristy areas. Wopuld love to see more!
Thanks! This is a fantastic one that’s slightly out of the way. I’ll continue to do these kinds of videos!
Another great Warung. Must be getting hard to keep finding interesting ones. We just did 14 nights in Sanur and never ate in the same place twice, 3 meals a day. Warung ESA on Pantai Segara was a pleasure after watching the sunrise one morning. Especially as the coffee came from Papas two doors down
I still have a bunch on my list that I think will be worth a look, but over the next 6 months I think I will run out of places that I’m really keen to recommend. At that point, I’ll keep updating on new openings, closings, cafes and proper restaurants.
I’ll never run out of videos to produce, but you’re right that there is a limited number of warungs.
Thanks for the Warung ESA tip. I actually need to do a bit more exploration around the beachfront. Even though I’m down there most days, I rarely eat there which is a bit of blind spot for me.
Chokos are just like cucumbers. Love them 😊
Bring back the choko!
What a cool find!! Thanks for that, and to Lynn and Beth for suggesting it! Loved the video. As always, thanks for sharing!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
That food looked very interesting & delicious! Thanks for sharing once again. Loved the pic at the end of you with the elderly Indonesian man - cute! 🤩🤩
Yeah, such a cool dude!
Loved the food and also what a characeret Tekor is :)
Yeah incredible place and I wish more people had a chance to try it out. I love it.
Gonna try next visit over to Sanur
Thanks
Let us know how you go
Oh we’ve been there. It’s fabulous. Must of been the time of year but when we were there the centre had a leaf carpet. I would definitely go back there again.
I really love it!
@@SanurDiaries this is the type of food we love to eat on holiday. Traditional local food
WoW! That's Awesome And Delightful Foodie Adventure! 🤩❤✨
Thank you 😋
We went to another branch of this warung ( Nasi Tékor Badak ) straight from the airport a couple of weeks ago! Loved the atmosphere and very traditional food. 😊
Also looks fantastic!
Much appreciated , for the Bagus Vid’s… so hungry😂
Glad you like them!
Yay! So glad you went back for a review!
I didn’t make it there when i was in sanur in early July, but maybe next year.
Really loved it last year though.
Yeah I really like it. It's definitely worth reviewing!
We must try this in October when we come over. Do you ever have any concerns about food that has been cooked and then served cold? I know you would not for this Warung but how would a tourist like me know a good waring from a bad one. I'm so keen to try places like this one, just a little nervous about the hygiene of the food.
My thought is that if a place has good reviews and a good turnover of food, then it’s fresh and fine to eat.
Food hygiene is different in Indonesia. The main point is that it should be a popular place. Doesn't mean hundreds of people queuing up, but at least a few orders coming and going at meal times.
That said, I don't usually apply those rules myself. I just take my chances because I've been sick from places that you wouldn't expect.. food hygiene is more than just how fresh the food is, but also cleanliness of the kitchen, refrigeration, hand washing etc. You can't know about any of this stuff even at expensive places.
If you see a place that looks interesting, my advice would be to just give it a go. You seem curious and I think this is the best approach for those who are curious about local food.
That’s a great spot and loved the traditional atmosphere, that soup is killer isn’t it?
Yeah it’s got a bit of a kick. To be honest, any soup that’s spicy I have trouble with anyway.
@@SanurDiaries that’s a surprise, I love a good spice hit. I’ll be over in Sanur for five days from 27 September. See if we can catch up and grab a good feed. Whilst we are over there we plan on doing the St Regis Brunch packages for 750k IDR… we did Cuca chefs table last trip, bloody amazing!
Sounds incredible. Would love to hear what you have to say about the St Regis!
@@SanurDiaries Adam, I’ll let you know, give Cuca a go if want a spoil. We also rate Saigon Cafe in sth Sanur and little bird across from Kejora…and a fave is Warong Legong up near Keremas
@ban01t I have Little Bird on my list and I know Saigon Cafe. Lots of people recommend it. Stiff competition with Me Vui around the corner.
Are you kidding me??? That's my favorite food
Great little spot hey
Great vid ,interested to know what your partners favorite dish is ?
Good question. Her favourite indonesian dish is yamien, which is particularly famous in Bandung, West Java. It's basically a dry noodle dish with oil and topping such as chicken or mushroom. You can get similar dishes to this in Sanur, but it's not yamien. Our favourite similar dish comes from Bakmie Dua Dua on Jalan Danau Poso. We get it loaded with pork and it's fantastic.
Choko😂
No one likes a choko
Interesting idea for a channel but the way you eat with your mouth open and the noise is awful to watch and listen to
🤣🤣🤣
