Good stuff! You mentioned a couple times that it came off the fittings really hard and I have actually snapped the fittings off in cold weather. I saw several people on TH-cam using the Lock n Lube and I tried it out. It really simplifies the whole process. I highly recommend it, as I am no longer reefing on it every time.
I agree. They are great. I use the adapter for 90 degree so you can get in tight places. You need an Amazon affiliate to make a little extra cash with the tools you use.
I use a Lock N Lube foot operated grease gun. No tubes to mess with. Just fill it up once with 12 pounds of grease about every other year. No battery, either.
I have been very sick and unable to cut last few weeks. (Damn tics) Your videos help get me through the day. Thank u for what u do. I have learned so much from u!
Great video. I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion. Instead of yanking the coupler off the grease nipples don't pull it at all, leaver it all the way up and down or left and right as if your trying to snap it off. The coupler is made to take a high amount of pressure and not made to be pulled square off. I learned this the hard way greasing excavators when I first started out. Many bruised and cut knuckles. I hope this helps you.
This was a God send for me when I got mine, I used to spend about 3 hours the old way greasing a backhoe, a skid steer, wheel hubs and mowing equipment and 10 minutes into it my forearms were screaming. I tried that Lock N Lube fitting and it never worked well but Im sure everyone and their Brother will suggest buying it. You can adjust the fitting by loosening the end that goes over the grease zerk. That impact gun is a beast of a tool too !!!!
Chris I’m the rental shop manager for a large construction company. We switched over to Milwaukee tools five years ago and couldn’t be happier. They have a five year warranty, if it breaks they will fix it or replace it. Now that you have two batteries and charger you can buy tool only and save a lot of money. Great purchase.
Good morning Chris!!😀😀 The Milwaukee grease gun is definitely the best. I am still running a old Lincoln grease gun that I have had for about 15 years or more. I figured that if it ever dies I will replace it with a Milwaukee. The Lincoln has been a great grease gun over the years. Milwaukee didn't even make a grease gun when I bought my first Lincoln. So until the batteries quit working I'm going to stick with it. When you come over I have some really good grease that I will give you. That Mystic grease is garbage as far as I'm concerned. The grease I use is Texas refinery company grease. Best grease I have ever used. Been using it for over 30 years now and had no pin or bearing failure with it. I'm one of those guys that doesn't grease as often as I should and with the TRC grease there is always some old grease left on the pins. Take care my friend!! TTYL!!😀😀 Logger Al
Aye! Good grease is a MUST! I have always figured in a high pressure, open environment joint I want a grease which doesn't wipe off easily. Moly has been my go-to for pins and bushings. The lighter greases work better in High Speed/High Temp applications which are sealed and contain the grease as it heats up and becomes less viscous. IM(not so)HO there is no such thing as a One Size Fits All universal grease. So Chris, if you're reading this, Extreme Pressure Moly for Loader and High Temperature grease for wheel bearings. That's my $.02 for what it's worth! LOL Bless'ns to ya Logger Al! Tedd
@@sawsurgeon Hi Tedd!!😀😀 Good to see you brother!!😀😀 You are right on the money with your description of what kind of grease to use for the different applications. Take care my friend!!😀😀❤❤
For the longest time I mocked guys with their cordless grease guns, primarily because I serviced heavy equipment for years with lever guns with seemingly no complications. Of course my dad mocked us for using those "Fancy Disposable Tubes" as his generation filled their guns from a bulk barrel! A while back I finally gave in and bought the DeWalt gun for work, primarily because we have other "Yellow" cordless tools, so battery interchangeability was a factor. After 2 years of service it continues to be trouble free. I did pick up the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" impact earlier this summer and LOVE it, so I'll be adding to the Milwaukee collection for my personal use and on the farm. Helpful hint: Grease the fittings which are closest to the operator station very lightly. No need to waste grease and make a huge mess where you get on and off the tractor. besides, those pins/bushings are away from the dirt and don't get as much action as those down front. That way you stay presentable for your daily video productions! Bless'ns to ya, Tedd
A Lock N Lube fitting is nice because they are easy on and easy off due to the thumb latch. It makes it nice on those hard to reach hard to reach fittings...
Chris, you can loosen the end of the coupler and the coupler will go on and off easy. Try to adjust the end of the hose to make it go on and off easier, but not so loose that it falls off. I only recently learned of this adjustment on grease guns. have a good day
Don't forget the pivot in the middle of the front axle, might be one or two fittings there. You might not have any fittings on your three point hitch but it never hurts to do a good crawl around over and under to see if you can find any more. And don't forget your grapple, that has 5, and the pins on the quick attach should have a fitting each. One of those grease guns is definitely on my list of wants, I have a lot of stuff to grease
Excellent video and great purchase on the grease gun and impact wrench may I suggest using a lock and lube goes on easy and comes off easy never have to worry about braking zerk fittings also they have a small and XL fitting for lock and lube
Yea, I have that grease gun and love it. You might have a fitting or two under the tractor front end where it pivots. Maybe some on your clutch pedal and on the hydrostatic pedal.
I have the DeWalt one and it works great. I went with DeWalt because I already had a bunch of their 20v tools and had all the batteries and chargers etc. If I was starting from scratch I would probably go with Milwaukee. My son started his own construction company and switched from DeWalt to Milwaukee and is very happy with their products. Be careful with that Impact wrench. They have tons of torque and will easily snap a bolt/stud if you over tighten or if you have a stuck nut...ask me how I know. Get yourself an impact gun for smaller projects. They are one of the greatest tools ever invented. Dave in Ontario, Canada
Nice gun. Is there a little adjustment for the tip so it doesn't take so much effort to pull it off the connections? Have 4 cords leaving the property today... Finally tis the season to see a little fruit from 900hrs in the wood.
Thanks for doing a video on this Chris. Have you found anyway or does Ken/Tony know any way of getting the hose off the fitting easily after the pressure builds up?

It would be good if that grease gun had a magnetic base so you can place the gun in any position, angle & location and not worry if the gun is going to slide off.
I’ve had a fleet of Milwaukee power tools for a while now and just added the grease gun to my collection two weeks ago! I absolutely love it, consider looking into getting a lock n lube fitting for the end, it fixes the problem of pulling off that pesky coupler for the fittings and works really well! Also the Milwaukee battery powered ratchet is an awesome tool.
Something that might help is just put about 3 clicks of grease in, any more and it just runs out the sides making a mess and always have a rag to wipe with.
The battery operated grease guns make life much easier. I use DeWalt- I think they all get the job done. I use my impact driver all the time. I also keep a roll of the Scotts blue disposable towels with me.
One other thing... my old man reckons that if ever a man needed evidence that God was an artist and not an engineer, the absence of grease nipples on his knees and his elbows would be it...😂
I think you where to charge those battery's with a full charge first Chris. Always read your instructions first. 😁 I have the DeWalt drill and impact driver. Wife got it for me last Christmas. Chris you need to change that fitting at the end that locks on and off with a little pressure relief. I have a Lock n Lube that I got from Amazon. I don't think that should be that hard to uncouple the end from the Zikr fitting. You might buy one of these Lock n Lube. 👻🎃🎃🪓🛠
Think you like that new grease gun? Put a Lock-n-Lube grease coupler on the end of that hose and you will really be happy... no more fighting to release from those fittings!

Cut and load in the trailer, off load directly from my trailer to the splitter, pile the splits then stack with arms reach of the pile. 👍🏻👍🏻
An old guy that I used to work for when I first started out driving heavy trucks told me in no uncertain terms “ look kid, there’s 4 things I expect from my drivers. 1 always make sure there’s oil in the engine. 2 always make sure that there’s water in the rad as these are the lifeblood of the engine. 3 always GREASE all grease nipples at least once a week!” and with that he walked away, I called after him and said “what was no4 “?? He said “oh yes, if you can make it run without FUEL you’ll have a long and happy future here but don’t forget the oil water and grease”!! 😜
I love Milwaukee tools. Great investment. You need to have shop rags or a roll of paper towel when you are doing jobs like that. Keep the videos coming thanks.

Silly me thought it was because red ones go faster. it seems a supply of rags would be good. How many pumps of grease do you really need? Often the batteries are shipped only partly charged.
Good morning from Piqua Ohio. I wonder if Milwaukee makes a Dremel tool like you use for sharpening your chains? It would be nice to just have one charger that charges all your batteries.
Chris nice set of tools its good it came with two batteries my Lincoln grease gun came with one 280 dollars for a gun and one battery to buy another battery 150 dollars so you got a good deal and I got screwed oh well
Overgreasing isn’t much better than the lack of greasing as the escaped grease around the joints hold grit which will work its way in , if the grease can get out , dirt will get in
Hi Chris. Really becoming the technician now ah? As much as you deplore 'destructions' I would advise you read each individual publication, for different pieces of equipment, specifically with regards to greasing. Don't overfill; usually three /four pumps of grease are enough. In some circumstances, due to hydraulic pressure of the grease (7,500 to 15,000 psi), you can inadvertently 'blow' seals/bearings. Therefore, best to follow manufacturers guidance. Furthermore, too much grease leakage will attract dust, saw dust, sand and dirt...plus its messy. Difficult removal, from Zerk fittings, can sometimes be caused by blockages causing undue back-pressure resulting in hardship removing the gun!! Just general guidance but best to know.
Now that’s a heavy duty grease gun, I still use my Dads old one it’s just a small pump one. I would send a pic but doesn’t look like I can. After Jeffs sees this he will want a new toy 🤣😂🤣
+1 on this recommendation. They are a little pricey but they work great. No more coupling that won't stay on or that you have to fight with to get off like the trouble Chris is having.
I bought into Makita, because I am from germany, but would probably have gotten Milwakee if I was from the US lol. Thinking about getting a battery powered chain saw from Makita, since I have 2 batteries already - more a want than a need tho :p
Greetings Chris. I had a manual gin that was hard to get off fittings so I went to Amazon and bought a lock & lube tip for grease gun. Works great. Enjoy your new toys & have a wonderful rest of the day
Very nice product. Don’t push the rod back in, just unlocked and let it go and as you grease that thing will go inside. Just advice from the other guy.
As soon as you see grease pushing out from a joint stop because it is full and a waste of grease to pump anymore in. Twice as much doesn't lubricate anything any better but it does make a mess. I think you said you used an entire cartridge on your trailer hubs and that really is a waste. The destructions probably tell you the same thing.
Congratulations Chris to you making it to 10k does this mean you will run the Glacier for us as a celebration? Kinda like Ohio Wood Burner does with his kinetic splitter.. If not thats ok we all celebrate in our own way 🎊 🎉🍺🤣🍾
the best way to keep air out is don't put any in. take the remaining grease from your old tube and dome the new tube with it, put it back together and wha la. man did you make a mess over greasing . watch the hose where is screws into the gun they like to come loose.do not go past snug when tightening , the threads in the gun strip out real easy, then your screwed
My father in law has about 8 DeWalt tools and 4 batteries; he also has a 1.8 ton Kubota excavator, which has about 6 million grease points. Guess which brand of cordless grease gun I'm buying him for Christmas...?😂💪👍🇦🇺

I have a 12 volt version of this gun and I love it. don’t know if 18 makes any difference since I never ran into a situation where 12 was not enough
It probably would be great too.
I still use an old manual pump, but from what I understood, the big difference would be the ability to restrict the number of clicks on the 18V that the 12V lack? That was slick.
Thanks Karen!
Congratulations on the Grease gun!! Looks like you'll be hitting 10k subs shortly, Congratulations Have a Safe Day
Thanks David!
Chris nice set of tools its good it came with two batteries my Lincoln grease gun came with one 280 dollars for a gun and one battery to buy another battery 150 dollars so you got a good deal and I got screwed oh well
They are all pricey!
Hope you have bought a lock and lube fitting for that ..
Yes I just put one on!!!
Overgreasing isn’t much better than the lack of greasing as the escaped grease around the joints hold grit which will work its way in , if the grease can get out , dirt will get in
Thanks for the tips Ian!
Thank so much for the tips Len!
Yes Chris get a different fitting for the grease Gun get one with a thumb release
Yup, I will!
Makes things easier for sure
Thanks, yes it does!
Good morning Chris!!
Morning!
Getting a new gun is always fun. Looks like going to a lock-n-lube tip may be in your near future to avoid busting your zerks or wrists😉
Yes I need one for sure!
Good Morning Chris Milwaukee makes a nice impact driver too. Just sayin...
Yes they do, I looked at them at the store when I bought the grease gun.
@@InTheWoodyard It's a start. Have a great day Chris.
Now that’s a heavy duty grease gun, I still use my Dads old one it’s just a small pump one. I would send a pic but doesn’t look like I can. After Jeffs sees this he will want a new toy 🤣😂🤣
Get him one!
@@InTheWoodyard lol…I’m a woman on a mission trying to up date our house besides I’m saving him a ton of money by doing it myself 🤣😂🤣
Hi Chris, buy a Lock-n-Lube fitting for the end, they work great.
+1 on this recommendation. They are a little pricey but they work great. No more coupling that won't stay on or that you have to fight with to get off like the trouble Chris is having.
It is on the list!
Yup! I will get one!
Can't go wrong buying good quality tools. Milwaukee is hood stuff.
Good stuff. Fingers are too big.
Yup!
Got it!
10k on the way!
Can't wait!
Good morning! you need the LocknLube coupler! no more yankin
Got it on my list!
That is shocking. With all that firewood money rolling in one would think you wouldn't need to get a 2nd mortgage for that Milwaukee tool kit.
They are expensive!
I bought into Makita, because I am from germany, but would probably have gotten Milwakee if I was from the US lol. Thinking about getting a battery powered chain saw from Makita, since I have 2 batteries already - more a want than a need tho :p
Yes, once you commit to a color, you need to stick to it!
You can pull the plunger back to see how much grease is left
Yup! Got it!
Greetings Chris. I had a manual gin that was hard to get off fittings so I went to Amazon and bought a lock & lube tip for grease gun. Works great. Enjoy your new toys & have a wonderful rest of the day
It is on the list!
Check out the locknlub grease gun coupling.
It is on the list!
You need the lock n lube tip. It makes it easier to get on and off..
Yup, gunna get one!
Very nice product. Don’t push the rod back in, just unlocked and let it go and as you grease that thing will go inside. Just advice from the other guy.
Thanks for sharing!
A small tube on my baby grease gun.
if you roll the hose in a circular motion, it will come off easy
I am going to get a lock and lube!
Good morning from Grand Forks
Howdy Dean!
Congratulations Chris to you making it to 10k does this mean you will run the Glacier for us as a celebration? Kinda like Ohio Wood Burner does with his kinetic splitter.. If not thats ok we all celebrate in our own way 🎊 🎉🍺🤣🍾
Sorry, I am not much for partying! Ha! Just another great day in the wood yard!
the best way to keep air out is don't put any in. take the remaining grease from your old tube and dome the new tube with it, put it back together and wha la. man did you make a mess over greasing . watch the hose where is screws into the gun they like to come loose.do not go past snug when tightening , the threads in the gun strip out real easy, then your screwed
Yup, thanks for the tips.
The bigger battery is for the impact gun
Okay!
Lock and lube fitting!
Yup, I need one!
I like the lock an lube tips on my grease gun . Easy on easy off
Yup, it is on my list!
Grease gun in one hand - shop towel in the other 👍👌it does get all over everything.
Yup!
Good morning Chris good investment to save on your body. Now it looks like you have to get yourself a lube lock for the end of that grease gun.
Yes I do!
My father in law has about 8 DeWalt tools and 4 batteries; he also has a 1.8 ton Kubota excavator, which has about 6 million grease points. Guess which brand of cordless grease gun I'm buying him for Christmas...?😂💪👍🇦🇺
Red is a better color! HA!
Iowa checking in.
Hello Bill!
Holy grease!!👍👍
Yup, gotta keep em lubricated!
