I keep saying one of your videos after another is your best. I'm going to stop saying it, because it makes me look fickle....but this is your best video yet. Darn it! I did it again! Your playing is a master class. Just Great.
While not a true gliss, it's actually a D major triad second inversion played rapidly descending: A-F#-D-A and then ending on an Ab to coincide with the Ab7 being played in the left hand.
This was before I recorded to MIDI. There is another version I did that should have music available. You can contact me through my Lot2Learn website for info.
You're so right. That album is a "doctoral thesis" of jazz.
Thanks. Glad you enjoy one of my favorite songs.
Absolutely stunning!!! I can't stop playing this video .... :-) Excellent

Nice! Those are some really cool voicings in the fourth minute! That represents a really great stylistic approach. Keep it up!

I appreciate the comment.
Jazz it up!Jazznet Spandau.
Ooooh yeahh!!!!! (y)
Spelling is PHRYGIAN, based on 3d , Locrian is based on 7th of a scale. You are playing very well. also filmed well for finger positions
great melody quote at 3:49
@valvetrom no don't think so..... you can play the dorian scale over that Cm11 and/or minor pentatonic over Cm11 and Db∆ (sounds the best for me...)
Is the first part LOCRIAN ?
Where can I get the sheet music?
