Ahaha I love that, if we exclude 비타민 한국어, I'm studying with the same books as you 😂 I still need to finish them, but I'm loving them all as well! I really liked your last textbook video from a few years ago too~ There aren't many videos talking about intermediate and advanced Korean textbooks 😭😭😭 Thank you for sharing your thoughts~!

I'm so glad you found it helpful! 🥰 it is true that not that many people speak about textbooks for the upper levels - even though that is the time when we really need good quality textbooks!

Wow, an extremely helpful video. Many thanks! My Korean teacher here in Germany has introduced us to both 문화 한국어 읽기 (though not level 6 😂) and to 한국어 한국 문화 , another excellent Darakwon textbook (level B1 I suppose). The topics addressed in that one include really helpful everyday stuff such as dating, eating/drinking at your Korean friend's house with their parents, which presents to take etc. Really useful and fun to work with. Perhaps you could do your next review on that one. I just adore Darakwon - so, many thanks for this review 🥰✨ I think I'll have a look at 비타민 한국어 next ✨

Darakwon makes some of the best language books and they take into account that not everyone is learning at a university. One of the series I like by them is called "Practical Korean". The only thing I don't like about it is that the Vocabulary words in each chapter don't have audio to go with them which, I feel, is needed for pronunciation and listening practice. each of the Practical Korean books comes with the workbook as well and if I recall, the answers!

Hey, that's a good video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

Was wondering how one figures out what level to purchase? Is there any way to gage it and buy the correct level? For instance, what makes one a level 3 versus 4? Just trying to figure out what I need…thanks so much~~~

    • @ElliinKorea

That is such a good question! If you don't have the chance to take a TOPIK test or get evaluated by a Korean teacher directly, I would recommend searching for "Korean level placement test" on Google and doing some tests to get an average result. Also, looking at previous TOPIK test questions (you can find many many free online) and seeing up to what level you can solve them is also very helpful.
Very generally speaking, A1 and A2 are the basic levels where you learn what you would need to stay in a country 2 weeks (self introduction, asking for the way etc), B1/B2 is the level of staying there 2 months (visit hospital, do small talk, etc), and C1/C2 for 2 years (discuss various topics in detail, be able to work there, etc).

Vitamin Korean is made for studying in class (and u can self-study with them too) and u can also prepare for the TOPIK exam (there are 6 books and each book= 1 topik level) , they have sssooo many questions that comes in the TOPIK exam. So I recommend this one
