    If I capo this on the 4th fret and do it in Em formation it works out in the right key but I don't think it's the same fret that Seamie has the capo It looks like his capo is up higher because where I'm doing it on the 4th fret doesn't work out perfectly. Can anyone tell me exactly what fret his capo is and what the first chord formation he's doing it in and I can figure out the rest.

      I'd say it's drop D tuning, played in Dm with the capo on the 6th fret.

      @@renderizer01 DADGAD tuning I would say

    • @renderizer01
      @renderizer01 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lurak9 Possibly. He's known to use dropped D a lot. I've been using DADGAD as my standard tuning for about 25 years now so I usually know what telltale signs to look out for (fingering-wise) but there wasn't really that much to be seen here. DADGAD more often than not also has a very particular sound as well, but even that can be misleading. An awful lot of people are rarely ever fretting the top (1st) string in DADGAD when backing tunes and/or songs and only have it ring through as a high drone (if ever)...

      @@renderizer01 yeah I get you, I don't think those little runs he plays between verses would sound as good if it was just dropped D, the B string would stand out as he is kinda strumming rather than picking. But hard to tell exactly
