Hey man, I’d love more videos on sound design. I design a lot of my own kicks, snares, hi hats, claps, 808s, etc. Videos specifically on kick design, snare design, hi hat design, clap design, 808 design would be super interesting. Going through the Serum patch, Operator patch, or whatever instrument was used as well as the processing chain, etc. Maybe break down some of your favourite sounds from DTK packs and going through those would be super popular for your audience.
That clipping tool is such a perfect cherry on top. Knock is legitimately in my top 5 fav plugins ever. I've used this tool in so many ways. Love longer-form vids like this, man. Thank you for Knockin'
I found that the drum sounds I choose when I start might not be the same ones I end with. I may change the kick or the snare to fit better with the rest of my sounds.
Could you possibly do a sound example for the hard clipping vs soft clipping. I think it makes sense , but for some reason I think I’m missing something … I really appreciate all of your videos . 🎶☮️🎶💟🎶☯️🎶
yo decap I think you made the video about mapping the tilde key to a utility on the master so you can reference between mono and stereo right? I did that like 2 years ago and it's been on my master chain ever since (even with changing my default templates the utility is still there lol). I always advise people to do this so they can balance the levels and make everything even in the mix. "mixing as you go!"
