“You find out who your real friends are when you're involved in a scandal.” -Elizabeth Taylor Watch Marilyn Monroe NEXT th-cam.com/video/374BRXebNAY/w-d-xo.html
Liz's love life was messy and problematic, but when she supported a cause, she put her all into it and wasn't afraid to speak up. I respect her for that.
She was also humble and tremendously down to earth. We'd see her walking her dog, eating an ice cream cone, and not making a big deal of herself.Unlike some of the other "stars" who run around screaming, "don't you know who I am?" Not Elizabeth. RIP.
With thar kind of beauty and glamor, and her mindset, she won't sleep with a guy without marriage, naturally she would have multiple.husbands. That doesn't mean she lost respect from Hollywood. On the contrary, one of the most respected actresses.
Fun fact: My Italian aunt who lived at the time in Canada worked in a designer shop that made the famous yellow wedding dress she wore to her marriage to Burton. She helped with making the dress.
That yellow dress was gorgeous, her hair twisted with flowers- 1st Burton marriage . Lip injections? They didn't exist! She didn't need any artificial enhancements. Face lifts later but ...no false eyelashes or lip or facial fillers, implants or botox. If you doubt her eyelashes- look for pictures of her brother, he was a male version of Elizabeth, the studios wanted him under contract but he wasn't interested. I believe he was a marine biologist. They were close all their lives.
I was up front at one of Ms Taylor's perfume promos and they had questions for her. A rude lady ask who her fav lover was.? Liz arrogantly said " ohhhh wouldn't you like to know??!!!" I almost fell out of my chair laughing and she smiled and winked at me. Then we burst out laughing the same time but no one else was!! It was so fun and she looked beautiful in all white silk pantsuit holding her white dog " Sugar"
Elizabeth was stunningly gorgeous, and she may not have lived a perfect life, but who does. She did a great deal of goodness with charities, and she was a very loyal friend. She lived life on her own terms, so good for her. I miss you, Elizabeth.
She was one of the too few who defended Michael Jackson … as everyone else was too afraid to loose their entertainment contracts … I so love her for that. She also introduced him to his first Christmas experience where they both got to act like children opening presents … she was such a gift in his life at the time when the establishment was working overtime to destroy him.
No it's not okay and I wouldn't let my child sleep over but those parents were evil for letting their kids sleep over and were willing to do that to blackmail Michael. I don't know if he did it though or was an overgrown kid reliving his childhood

Being born with double eyelashes often occurs with lymphedema district dosis syndrome LDS which is caused by a rare genetic mutation the condition is linked to congenital heart defects so it's important to monitor the hearts health Elizabeth did have LDS
I didn't know that~ My daughter & I both have dark, multi layered upper & lower lashes. We also have Ehlers Dan's Syndrome & she has heart issues too. Yay!? I'll look into LDS!
This was a lie in the video. Liz was with a studio chaperone or her mother 24 hours a day until she got married at 18. Don't believe everything in this video. It was a shame that she put these lies in her video at all.
I will always be a big fan of hers simply because she knew certain celebrities back then were gay( when nobody else knew) and she was their friend. She didn't judge or out them. She sounds like she was a very open minded and good hearted person. It sounds to me actually like she was big hearted to a fault. That caused her a lot of problems. This is all just my opinion based on what I've heard about her. I just love people who are open minded and stand up for the under dog.
Marilyn was the same. She went out of her way to be kind to others. A lot of ppl know this story but I'll repeat it anyway. Marilyn loved Ella Fitzgerald's songs and her beautiful voice. When Marilyn learned that the famous nightclub the Copacabana(I think that's the name) found out that they would not book Ella bc she was black Marilyn intervened. She told the owner of the club that she would sit front and center at Ella's performances for a week to atttact publicity! It worked, the first night Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland sat right by Marilyn in the front row.
@@mindyengledow6860 I love that. I'm not surprised in the least. I read one of her biographies. She was kind to a fault I believe. She seemed to treat everyone else better than herself rather they deserved it or not.❤ I wish her life had gone better.
@@oliviablackburn3907 I wish she had a happier ending to her life. Know one knows for sure how she died but I wish that Marilyn would have passed as a much older lady surrounded by children and grandchildren.

Thank you for making that important adult point ... if a fifteen year old pursues you and you are an adult, YOU are in the wrong if you don't turn her away.
Having threesomes and sleeping with married men left and centre, sure.. lots of class! Class is not just about the way you dress, it’s also about the way you live! FYI: Classy women are not promiscuous and don’t sleep with married guys.😀
It's also a total lie. Liz was never left alone until she got married at 18. She was chaperoned by her mother at the studio the entire time. Her mother was on MGM's payroll.
@@jimmydaves I agree that it's a complete lie. It was in her contract that her mother chaperoned her at all times until she was of age. What a disgusting thing to say. Plus, Ronald Reagan? Really? What a ludicrous lie.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas. In 1958, the only preschool in town was at Temple Beth Shalom. I went there for two years, and still remember my teacher's names. ( Mrs. McCall and Mrs. Dial) We weren't Jewish, but I didn't know that, so I insisted we celebrate all Jewish High holy days. When you said Taylor and Burton were married there, I couldn't believe it. Loved this upload. When these big studios allow other authors or actors to say someone is sexually active, it always angers me because some of these men have forced themselves on these young woman. They are just trying to find the love that missing from their own lives. Too bad they never judge themselves.
*Honestly, I appreciate your hard work & research. I have learned more from your channel than I have from the media. I'm just waiting for the History Channel to collab & pay because, they could take some notes from you.*
All her life, my own mother was compared to Elizabeth Taylor. She had the same "violet blue eyes." No, she didn't leave them to me, but my father, being being part Welsh, left me his nose, which was identical to Richard Burton's! No matter! One thing I have observed throughout my life is that beauty, like money, definitely does NOT guarantee happiness!
My ex coworker told me,stud service get old after awhile , got tired of it,, money , is different, beauty on a woman, pretty woman get tired of being a great lay, lots, lots of woman are great lay
I love your content! You did a recent breakdown of opera singer Maria Callas. Can you please do one on a black opera singer like Leontyne Price (little in known about her personal life), Kathleen Battle, or anyone?
I'm surprised there was no mention about Mickey Rooney when they e ok rked together on National Velvet. Rooney's wife walked in on him finding young Liz on her knees...if you get my meaning. I hate when people blame these actresses. They were required to submit to the powerful men that ran the studios. Judy Garland experienced the same.😢
Taylor's twin-set of lashes are thought to be the result of a genetic mutation at the FOXC2 gene. (Funny that a woman most men would describe as "foxy" was possibly affected by the FOXC2 gene!) An extra row of eyelashes is known medically as distichiasis (pronounced dis-tic-key-i-asis) and it's a rare disorder.
Elisabeth said in her interview that she was a virgin when she married the first time, at the age of 18. I doubt she would state that if it wasn't true, so I doubt the rumours about those early escapades.
Well she later became a Satanist, there's a photo of her throwing up devil horns before it became normal in rock in the 80s, so likely child predation rather than consenting.
She was a working actress and lived like an adult early on. I think all the rumors are true. Hollywood has always had a crazy reputation and in the old days all the bad behavior was covered up.
How do you know she didn't participate in casting couch or get initiated into hollyweird by getting raped by an actor or director like Thandie Newton, Reese Witherspoon, Uma Thurman, lady gaga, Natalie Wood etc
Another one out of the park Karine! You have a wonderful speaking voice and always keep it classy and compassionate while not leaving out some of the speculations and innuendoes of the day. Well done!
She may have had 8 marriages but in her day couples didn't just live together and later break up. Just living together (without being married) is common now. By today's standards it would be like asking how many men have you lived with in your lifetime. From that perspective the number doesn't seem all that high.
@@rb757 Celebrities married and divorced more often then anyone else. 1950s Women usually accepted their role as housewife and didn't expect as much when it comes to material things. That was the culture. There was a lot less divorce but I think people had lower expectations when they married . Celebrities and their wealth always had high expectations and more divorces.
@@Thatsswell-hr9ev hmm yes definitely that makes a lot of sense it was unusual then for average families to separate they’d usually just stick it out, but I guess when you have more wealth you have more freedom to leave & choose I did notice that a lot of famous women would marry a lot and divorce a lot. Good point
As John Wayne said: "Any woman who spends her life making one man miserable instead of going out and making a lot of men happy, don't get my vote." Liz Tylor was a wonderful human being, who did more good for more people than practically any star in Hollywood history, add in the fact that she had a good time doing it & I say more power to her."
That was great. Thank you so much. She is an eternal beauty that’s for sure. I also like all the pictures you always put up. The one on Vivien Leigh was amazing. Thanks again.
Elizabeth Taylor is one of the most stunningly beautiful women of all time! I always loved her bc she was so glamorous and ultra feminine! I'm still wearing her perfumes til this day! Violet Eyes and Forever are 🔥
I swear just when I think I know about a celeb I learn sumthin new with ur content ...there are very few TH-cam channels that I watch consistently and u are one of them💗
Pisces Queen 🐟👑 🐠 people always say Richard Burton was the love of her life and though they were so passionate, they were bad for each other. Mike Todd was really the one. Richard was always jealous of his memory.
So Elizabeth caused the break up of one marriage and marries the guy, then very quickly met and had an affair with Burton who was also married at the time Honestly these people really go down in my estimation Good grief !
Back in the day, the the typical mindset was, especially among women, was, if you wanted to have sex with someone, you'd better marry them, or at least intend to. Otherwise, the world would think you were a whore. She probably demanded these husbands to divorce their wives and marry her, or it would be over.
i love your content so much ! i remember loving your old breakdown of elizabeth i would watch it so much😭 can you do a breakdown on mariah carey again i think you deleted your old one
Her Diamonds and Emeralds perfume is pure elegance in a bottle!!! My grandmother gave it to me last Christmas. I was a little deflated at what I thought was ‘old lady fragrance’ (mean way to say it.. it’s a mature fragrance) because of the stigma behind White Diamonds, but when I smelled it??! When I wore it for the first time around my husband??! Lol I felt grown, elegant, and dare I say, mature. I wanted to go to a ballroom event or an upscale restaurant, lounge, bar. There’s a beautiful, oriental, gently floral scent. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever smelled. Very distinct, though I’m no fragrance connoisseur, so take that into account too, it may be familiar or have likeness to someone else. Millennials and younger, don’t turn your nose up! It’s a gorgeous fragrance
I've been wearing Diamonds and Emeralds since it came out, back in the 80's I was in my 20's then. I'll be 63 in July and I'm still Proudly wearing it!
Ronald Reagan was very much what we would call a nerd. One of the reasons that he and Jane Wyman divorced was that she was so much racier than he was! JFK would have been stupid beyond belief to participate in what would have been a violation of the California Penal Code, what with his being thirty years old at the time that Elizabeth Taylor was fifteen years old. He was a first-term Congressman from Massachusetts at that time, too.
Yay! I didn’t miss a video this time! I watched your Michael Jackson video! Such a beautiful and handsome man. I miss him so much 🥺. Also, Liz Taylor and Michael was both really great friends! I remember hearing about that.
My mother talked about it when I was a kid, it was quite the scandal at the time, and she got a bad girl reputation. Women were vilified for such behavior at the time.
You left out Mickey Rooney, while filming National Velvet. His wife caught them in a sex act in his trailer...Apparently her mother was not as protective as Shirley Temple's mother. Follywood is indeed BABYLON!
This is a total lie. Liz was never left alone until she married at 18. Liz always had a chaperone or her mother with her at all times. Her mother was on MGM's payroll for that very reason.
I lost my wife at age 25 and she 23. After some time, a young girl started coming around the house when I was outside working. She was very pretty and a little suggestive, but when I found out her age, I started to call her Fiftteenia, instead of Tina. I was still polite but told her she should not come around anymore. I believe she lacked a father. I know it wasn't my stunning good looks.
I've always been so intrigued with Elizabeth Taylor we just call her Liz. Met her in the 80s when I was a kid she gave me some great advice when she was doing a book promotion by Kitty Kelly at that time it was wonderful such a remarkable gorgeous icon. That more women should take notes and dress and act classy. I miss the old Hollywood when people were classy private wasn't fake phony immature ppl. wearing inappropriate clothing,🤧😳🤦🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🤬 she had own hair. never had to get lip injections butt implants just a beautiful natural gorgeous lady RIP Liz Taylor ♥️💛♥️🖤🎆🍾💯‼️💎
The love of her life no 1 will believe it but the true love of her life was Michael Todd even though his life was brief they had a child together She had a near death experience and saw him where he said it's not your time yet babe I'll be waiting
However, another source says that Taylor and JFK DID have a dalliance but in 1948, when JFK was a newly-elected congressman and Liz was only 16 years old, years before he married Jackie in 1953. I Googled that.

Where was her mother when she went to these parties? Sad when your parents give up their responsibility of their child to a studio.
I agree 15 is 15
Parents sold her to them, it still happens today.
This was a lie in the video. Liz was with a studio chaperone or her mother 24 hours a day until she got married at 18. Don't believe everything in this video. It was a shame that she put these lies in her video at all.
Don't believe this video.
Me too
@@oliviablackburn3907 I wish she had a happier ending to her life. Know one knows for sure how she died but I wish that Marilyn would have passed as a much older lady surrounded by children and grandchildren.
@@mindyengledow6860 yes I completely agree! She didn't deserve whatever happened. She died way too young.

Thank you for making that important adult point ... if a fifteen year old pursues you and you are an adult, YOU are in the wrong if you don't turn her away.
Unless you’re a celebrity, politician, biblical figure, or a woman.
She was an iconic beauty. Thanks for sharing
Hello gorgeous how are you doing hope you’re having a great time with your family may God bless you and your family
Elizabeth Taylor had such beautiful skin all throughout her life. She was a very beautiful lady. And she was the epitome of class and grace...
Having threesomes and sleeping with married men left and centre, sure.. lots of class! Class is not just about the way you dress, it’s also about the way you live! FYI: Classy women are not promiscuous and don’t sleep with married guys.😀
Seriously? No, seriously?
When I read Gone With The Wind in my teens, the young Elizabeth Taylor used to come to mind when I imagined Scarlet O'Hara.
I appreciate you pointing out that affairs with a 15 year is abuse. Thank you!! ❤🎉😊
It's also a total lie. Liz was never left alone until she got married at 18. She was chaperoned by her mother at the studio the entire time. Her mother was on MGM's payroll.
it was a different time back then.
Liz and Dick were married in Canada (Montreal I believe) .. Liz & Eddie married in Vegas ... Not easy to remember all the marriage dates I know.
Saw her on her perfume promotion tour. Had the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen on a person 😊
I agree!🥀
Well it should
Lucky guy, got to kisd Elizebeth twin sister
My mom as well! Same colour eyes but not the double lashes At an airport, one time, a photographer yelled out “ There’s Elizabeth” 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
That would be lovely
Promiscuity can be a sign of childhood sexual abuse, makes you wonder
I'm surprised there was no mention about Mickey Rooney when they e ok rked together on National Velvet. Rooney's wife walked in on him finding young Liz on her knees...if you get my meaning. I hate when people blame these actresses. They were required to submit to the powerful men that ran the studios. Judy Garland experienced the same.😢
@@ariesista OMG! I didn’t know this

Hello Jacqueline how are you doing hope you’re having a great time with your family may God bless you and your family
You never saw my mom's eyes. Everyone complimented mom's eye color (just a rare green shade with violet shade).
@freyalove3831 I bet they are also unique, and beautiful Green is my favorite color
@@jacquelinerussell8530 Definitely unique what I have seen so far.
I love your consistency, Karine! I've learned so much from your channel. Continue to flourish love ☺️✨
So much info and great pictures!! She's so strikingly beautiful.
This has become my favorite channel! Your work is do researched that you bring a whole other level to YT.
Agreed!
Elisabeth said in her interview that she was a virgin when she married the first time, at the age of 18. I doubt she would state that if it wasn't true, so I doubt the rumours about those early escapades.
Her image was curated, most of what she said and did as a teen was fabricated by the studios. But you just never know.
I don’t believe it at all. Sensationalism at best.
Statistic: people who .I've together are more likely to get divorsed.
I think it was strange to to be in a relationship for too long without being married then so I’m not surprised they married a lot then
@@rb757 Celebrities married and divorced more often then anyone else.
Good point
Still high but I get what you're saying.
Such a soothing narration. Thanks for the upload
As John Wayne said: "Any woman who spends her life making one man miserable
instead of going out and making a lot of men happy, don't get my vote."
Liz Tylor was a wonderful human being, who did more good for more people than practically any star in Hollywood history, add in the fact that she had a good time doing it & I say more power to her."

Yes she was
No Hedy Lamar. And cleverer.
@@joedias7946 Indeed, Hedy Lamar was intellectually brilliant. But it was her beauty that was exploited.

So Elizabeth caused the break up of one marriage and marries the guy, then very quickly met and had an affair with Burton who was also married at the time Honestly these people really go down in my estimation Good grief !
I’ve lived in my delusion of the good old days.
Back in the day, the the typical mindset was, especially among women, was, if you wanted to have sex with someone, you'd better marry them, or at least intend to. Otherwise, the world would think you were a whore. She probably demanded these husbands to divorce their wives and marry her, or it would be over.
I doubt that she really loved them, as Tina Turner used to sing, " What's Love Got to Do With It?"
