I think when it comes to religion it’s not just ONE bad person but a pattern of bad people who are pretending to be good and righteous and are being observed by others in the church as such. After awhile you just feel as if everyone must be fake, you feel like you can’t trust anyone especially the leaders and the cracks in organized faith begins to crumble.
Both Karine’s statement and yours are correct. For some people it’s a group or series of people BUT for some people it’s one person that lets them down when they need it most.
Yes I've experienced it and it damaged my trust and mental health for a bit but God is above it, there are still churches where they stick to the Bible and follow God
Just like there is a pattern of bad people.. just because a person is religious or saved doesn't mean they are delivered.. they have to go thru a spiritual process to become a better person . Some chose to remain hypocrites . Not all Christians are that way💯
All people are born and shaped in sin and are fallible, it's easy to become disappointed when and if you have unrealistic expectations and when you take your eyes off of Jesus and look at mankind.
When accepting Jesus as your Lord & Savior, one must understand that he is where your focus should be. It's when we take our eyes off of him & place our focus on one another, that we can certainly stumble in our walk with the Lord! Unfortunately Christians are going to struggle with sin, but we must be rooted & grounded in the word of God, so that won't easily forsake the Body of Christ. It's part of life that we will be disappointed in people's behavior, but we will be held accountable to the Lord if we select to reject him and depart from the faith. Thankfully, we have the word of God & his Holy Spirit to empower us to be loving, patient, kind, & forgiving toward others. My heart grieves over those people who choose to reject Jesus because of the behavior of some Christians. Get to the know the Lord for yourselves, because the only perfect human being that ever existed & still exists today was & is & will always be sweet, precious Jesus Christ the Lord & Savior of this world!
Wonderful - thank you Karine☆ Gregory Peck and his wife were good friends with Ava. Even so, he said it always took some time to adjust to the dazzling reality of her stunning beauty. He said she was without vanity. ☆♡☆♡☆♡☆
So many people think that atheists think the way we do because of 1 bad apple. Religious people ask us about our morals all the time. Like, if you dont believe in god then whats stopping you from commenting crimes? Like what? This is when we point out how many bad people believe in god and are still bad people. It doesn't mean that one bad person made us turn away from religion. Common sense and logic is the biggest factor.
Ava admitted in one of her books I read, that she was forced to take many movies. She didn't like quite a few of them. But she actually said she did it for the money, honey. Her autobiography was great. I read it many years back. Some gorgeous photos of Miss Ava in it also. Ava, Rita and Dorothy D. are my 3 fave old Hollywood actresses. Amazing, talented and "before their time."
I wish you would have mentioned Ava's love of the Spanish culture and Flamenco, plus the love affairs with bullfighter's!!! She was a beautiful mysterious woman, much more complex than your average Hollywood starlet.
It's lovely that you put in perspective that we shouldn't judge God or religion over a few people who aren't living up to the teachings. Church is a hospital for sinners, which we all are. We all fall short of the glory of God, but we can be perfected in God's love.

Maybe an explanation for her involvement in religious film; I am also an atheist, but I was raised Catholic, and I still engage with religious content and events, partly because its what I know, my friends are in it and also because I just like it. It's familiar to me and reminds me of the good parts of my upbringing. I don't think I'll ever fully leave it behind, but I am whole-hearted, quietly and personally in my disbelief. Maybe Ava had the same kind of duality.
truly golden age of Hollywood , such beauties will never come around in a life time , elegant feminine ,curvaceous, gorgeous ,independent ...... the whole package
That one experience was probably not the only one that caused her to become atheist. It was probably a number of things but that is the reason that she gave when asked.
Goes to show that you can have biological siblings and still feel alienated. She was 1 of 7 and I know you have a time limit, but she still was alone despite that immediate family. We’re only guaranteed death in this life. ✨Enjoy your life as best as you can ❤
Maybe because they had their own families. And no wonder they were miserable as the studios controlled their lives and like Marilyn Ava didn't have children and probably regretted it because she ended up with no one. Her marriages had ended. So her siblings probably weren't around if they were married
She chose to live in London and had no family there. Most of her siblings were either deceased or living near North Carolina. She did have at least one sister still alive there when Ava died. She did have a lot of nephews and nieces who visited her occasionally.
Absolutely love your videos and how you discuss anyone. I appreciate these entertainers because I get to learn so much from them. I know that there are other underlying issues, but these videos make me wanna go back in time. Sometimes I feel out of place because I still conduct myself in a certain way. I’m just grateful. Some things can be kept and others can be discarded 😅
Wow. What a beautiful soul. She seems like she had such a sweet air to her talking about her mom baking her a chocolate, and coconut cake during her birthdays. Also sweet she had the humility from her farmlife. I feel so awful that she had such a bad relationship with the Christians around her. I can see why because it's not just that one preacher, she said no one came to visit her dying father. She felt rejected and that Christianity was hypocrisy. It's really sad. I think she wanted to participate in the Bible movies just to broaden her thoughts. Lots of atheists are very studious.
Wow.. I had no idea the kind of life she lead... to of gone through so much and to lose the love of your life in such a manner 🥺 rest in peace Ava Garnier 🙏 💐🤍
I would love to watch a video on the name changes and the back story changes like how many of them changed their names and how many have fake back story and how they would come up with names like do they pick from a book name that the studios had? How to they make the back story’s believable like do they actually had fake documents and stuff like that? They really would made up a character and end their pass self it so fascinating
The “sleazy guy” who said he worked for MGM? He was my first boss! At the time he was a law student and beat cop. He became a lawyer with a thriving practice here in NYC. He and Ava remained friends for years and she always attributed her career to his flirting! 😂
I love this video and all of your content. There is only one small thing I noticed: the beautiful background music you normally use does not seem to be there. Instead, it sounds like some kind of kid/ munchin chatting/singing in the background?
My favorite all time Hollywood star is/was Ava. Her beauty is and always will be incomparable. Maybe Elizabeth comes close, but is still in Ava's shadow.
🙌🏿 seriously like especially when you’re raised in the church your relationship with religion your identity is far more complicated and you’re often acting biblical roles for your congregation throughout your childhood so they feel the most natural... lastly you could love a Bible story and not come to the same conclusion!!!
Have you thought of doing Sharon Tate? It would be cool to reclaim her image from Manson because she really was much more than that and I think would have developed into a wonderful actress if she'd gotten away from Polanski and lived. I saw an interview with her lawyer who was drawing up divorce papers for Sharorn right before the thing happened. There's been a cloud of suspicion...It's too bad since he made some amazing films, but is not a good guy.
Hollywood was casting white americans to play black & brown characters back then so I really don’t think they were ever gonna put much thought into religious casting lol.
I think it's appropriate that not a lot of Christian actors and actresses did not participate in those older films. I wouldn't want to compromise my beliefs for someone's artistic interpretation of the text. I love the Christian movies these days, based on the faith and exemplifying His message.
Liked and subscribed! We should talk. Happy to send you the biography I published about my lawman grandpa and a very publicized murder he helped solve in 1946. His Christian faith drove him toward courage and determination in going after bad guys.
This video informs us about Ava being an atheist,I've read somewhere that the two only books she read in her life were Gone with the wind and the Bible. However i've also read that she also took economic courses...
She read a lot more books in her middle age and later years. I believe her biography said she took courses at UCLA. Cal Berkley would be a long commute from LA just to attend classes

It's familiar to me and reminds me of the good parts of my upbringing. I don't think I'll ever fully leave it behind, but I am whole-hearted, quietly and personally in my disbelief. Maybe Ava had the same kind of duality.
HNY Karine & Everyone🎆✨🥂
I agree, Ava was very beautiful.
NOW I GET IT. SHE IS STUNNING.
I love your content. Always interesting and well edited. Thank you for all your hard work.
truly golden age of Hollywood , such beauties will never come around in a life time , elegant feminine ,curvaceous, gorgeous ,independent ...... the whole package
She was so gorgeous love ❤️ old Hollywood the grace and class of it all
I love your voice and the work you do here. You make all the people you review seem so interesting . .. keep up the good work!!
Luv the history of old Hollywood and the beauties
Wow I am so enthralled by your videos, keep it coming
That one experience was probably not the only one that caused her to become atheist. It was probably a number of things but that is the reason that she gave when asked.
Please do an updated Rita Hayworth vídeo and also Carmen Miranda and Betty Grable!
She was close to her sister Beatrice, who she called "Bappie". She would often stay with her during times she needed support and called her daily.
She chose to live in London and had no family there. Most of her siblings were either deceased or living near North Carolina. She did have at least one sister still alive there when Ava died. She did have a lot of nephews and nieces who visited her occasionally.
Thanks K.A.💗
You're welcome ♥️
Ms. Gardner was such a beautiful lady, and actress. Can we get a break down about Jane Russell? Thank you for the video 😍😍😍😍
Ahh!! Thank you thank you! I LOVE AVA GARDNER! Gonna watch it right now!❤❤
Girl...the actors are PLAYING a role. Your beliefs has zero to do with your work.
Natural Beauty ✨💯
Ava Gardner is the capricorn queen! Lol
Wow.. I had no idea the kind of life she lead... to of gone through so much and to lose the love of your life in such a manner 🥺 rest in peace Ava Garnier 🙏 💐🤍
I mean Morgan Freeman is Atheist and he always be playing a Christian God related role. I just chuck it up as an actor being a good actor.
15:45 - Wedding? Don’t you mean funeral?
Yay! I had requested this awhile ago. Thanks Karine!
Hope you like it! ♥️
I think you misspoke when you said none of them came to her wedding. I'm guessing you meant to say funeral? Anywho, another great video!
Wasn't pleased with the music, but, love your presentations! Seen several of them now and you are good!
Happy new year!
Would love to see a break down on Catherine Zeta Jones💜
Catherine Zeta Jones could play Ava Gardner in a film bio.
Let me tell you , she's one of my favs
Nice! I think I may have requested you do a profile on Ava, not sure. So glad to see this and thank you!
Agreed. I don't think Liz comes close to Ava.
Knots Landing was Prime time. At night time soap. Always watched it with my mom. Un less I was working at night.
I love Ava's look but I wish she had lived a more peaceful life.
Same 😣😢 I feel Hollywood/Hollywood men corrupted her and she tried to make the best of it..
Ava Gardner was statuesque. She had a long neck, a beautiful face and she was breathtaking 😍🤩
This was really well done! enjoyed it very much.
I want to go to her museum, here in nc. she has the same b day as my grandmother. I was always drawn to her.
Ava told us how she felt about religion, leave it at that.
I always respected her more than Marilyn Monroe. She was more iconic to me.
I think it's appropriate that not a lot of Christian actors and actresses did not participate in those older films. I wouldn't want to compromise my beliefs for someone's artistic interpretation of the text. I love the Christian movies these days, based on the faith and exemplifying His message.
Well said!
This was very interesting! I loved hearing about her husbands!
Liked and subscribed! We should talk. Happy to send you the biography I published about my lawman grandpa and a very publicized murder he helped solve in 1946. His Christian faith drove him toward courage and determination in going after bad guys.
Love Ava's movies. She went through alot, she said she was physically abused by actor G.S.C
This video informs us about Ava being an atheist,I've read somewhere that the two only books she read in her life were Gone with the wind and the Bible. However i've also read that she also took economic courses...
She read a lot more books in her middle age and later years. I believe her biography said she took courses at UCLA. Cal Berkley would be a long commute from LA just to attend classes
she was a supporter of the civil rights movement!
She really was a beautiful stunning woman. I don't know why beautiful women of these days smoked cigarettes, but it helps with the nerves I hear.
Thank you for the video Karine and happy new year 🍸hope that you had a great start off love 😘
Happy new year my love 😘
Good Job. I enjoy your channel.
So many natural beauties back then.
Happy New Year! 🍷🥳 Can you please put the model Donyale Luna on your list? Thank you 😊
Happy new year!! And absolutely ♥️
