I have starved , really starved, this looks Grand! Yes a turd is nice thing pass. Be careful if you're going back to solid food from starvation, your gut can't handle it. You can die, ask all the Jews in WW II , a lot of them didn't make it, food can kill, even with best intentions.
i would have kept the rendered fat and added some flour to make a roux, then added a little beef broth to make a sauce/gravy. Plus - never knock the dollar stores. Their canned foods and frozen foods really help strerch food dollars and have been the difference between having a filling and nutritious meal and going hungry.
If you can save up some money for a cast iron pan like hes cooking it in, it tastes even better bc the cast iron prevents the meat from dying out when its baking. A cast iron pan can be used also for the rest of your life (I'm serious). They won't break or get crappy like most pans. Its worth the money. Also, bonus you get natural iron (like the vitamin) from cooking on it.
easy impressive recipes i loved to make when i moved out: tortilla pizzas, nachos, quesadillas, tacos, grilled kabobs, chicken, steak, and veggies, loaded baked potatoes, fried rice, stir frys, omelettes, chicken noodle soup, chili, sushi, home made alfredo, ....if you're broke, slowly accumilate and keep on hand your staples, learn who has cheapest prices on items you regularly use, only buy sale items and deep discounts, freeze breads, meats, cheeses on sale, preserve veggies on sale, don't buy too many perishables before they can be used in time, learn to make your own pickles, breads, cheeses, sauces, dressings, marinades,, spice mixes, utilize food banks and food stamps, and buy in largest quantities possible when there are big discounts for doing so. for instance i buy 10 lbs of leg quarters at a time, because then it's always well under a dollar a pound.
Shepherds pies is lamb. Cottage pie is beef. People used to know this. Was originally made with meat chunks. Now people use ground or minced meat and call all of it shepherds pie.

put all that gravy in a little cup, seal it, and now you can make biscuits and gravy for breakfast tomorrow :p
dollar tree is officially my go-to meal spot when I move out
That actually looks really good
The vagebles line got me dead🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lazy cottage pie is what I call it when I use instant mashed potatoes. So easy and good.
isnt that shepherds pie because it has meat correct me if im wrong tho
@@T3M3P1C shepherds pie uses lamb, cottage pie is ground beef
@@jadelynn1703 i actually didnt know that thank you
@T3M3P1C not a problem at all 😀 I also didn't know there was a difference until a few years back lol
Sheppard’s pie is a major comfort food for me and this looks amazing
too bad this is cottage pie
I could watch your videos all day
That looks bomb 💣 ❤❤
It’s poor man’s shepherds pie a stable recipe that everyone should know
To be honest, those instant potatoes are great with everything. They taste better than any I’ve had at a restaurant, or even fully homemade from scratch! Especially the garlic one! Even just smelling the inside of its package is like heaven!
So having all of that meat under it is just a bonus with that stuff!
Love the apartment!!! Congrats! They have these freestanding vacuum stands on Amazon that I have for my Dyson vacuum that doesn’t require nails or screws to the wall. I have a Dyson but I’m sure it may work for your cool new vacuum!🎉
Gotta be honest, i'm probably not gonna make these recipes, but I'm definitely gonna follow for all the classic youtube references and nostalgia. Salad fingers, charlie the unicorn, I'm here for it!!
I’d be finding out if that meat is real.
As my mom would say, “It will make a turd.” 🤣
😂😂😂😂 I’ve never in my life heard that!
Is that a known saying where you live? Because I seen someone else say this exact same thing in another comment section a while back... Unless that person was you 😂
I have starved , really starved, this looks Grand! Yes a turd is nice thing pass. Be careful if you're going back to solid food from starvation, your gut can't handle it. You can die, ask all the Jews in WW II , a lot of them didn't make it, food can kill, even with best intentions.
@@Natasha___. that is a known saying amongst the poor community.
@@christinaburke "the poor community" 😂 well we were poor, but I'm from Scotland so I've never heard of it before.
your amazing and that’s all I have to say 🥰
You had me with the cheese for a minute 😹
Not to bad for dollar tree! If you like crispy tater top run the fork through top after ya smooth it.
Cool idea
@@lovescoffee9780 that's the classic way to do it and is a good tip
i would have kept the rendered fat and added some flour to make a roux, then added a little beef broth to make a sauce/gravy.
Plus - never knock the dollar stores. Their canned foods and frozen foods really help strerch food dollars and have been the difference between having a filling and nutritious meal and going hungry.
I gotta save these for when I turn 19 and move out
If you can save up some money for a cast iron pan like hes cooking it in, it tastes even better bc the cast iron prevents the meat from dying out when its baking.
A cast iron pan can be used also for the rest of your life (I'm serious). They won't break or get crappy like most pans. Its worth the money. Also, bonus you get natural iron (like the vitamin) from cooking on it.
@@gemmagemma-wx2bshave had one for 7 years now and I love it
@@gemmagemma-wx2bs
We need go back to basic copper Cups and possibly copper pan.
I love iron pan.
@@gemmagemma-wx2bsi scout out different ones at good will😊
easy impressive recipes i loved to make when i moved out: tortilla pizzas, nachos, quesadillas, tacos, grilled kabobs, chicken, steak, and veggies, loaded baked potatoes, fried rice, stir frys, omelettes, chicken noodle soup, chili, sushi, home made alfredo, ....if you're broke, slowly accumilate and keep on hand your staples, learn who has cheapest prices on items you regularly use, only buy sale items and deep discounts, freeze breads, meats, cheeses on sale, preserve veggies on sale, don't buy too many perishables before they can be used in time, learn to make your own pickles, breads, cheeses, sauces, dressings, marinades,, spice mixes, utilize food banks and food stamps, and buy in largest quantities possible when there are big discounts for doing so. for instance i buy 10 lbs of leg quarters at a time, because then it's always well under a dollar a pound.
LOVE THIS 👍
❤ Thank You!
My grandpa used to make this in NY. He called it Shepherds Pie 😋
are you sure it was beef because shepherds pie is this but with lamb mince and a few other differences this is called cottage pie
That's what it is. Shepherds pie.
I make shepherd's pie .. my grandma taught me. Ground beef is in it for sure.
Cottage, cow. Shepherd, sheep.
Shepherds pies is lamb. Cottage pie is beef. People used to know this. Was originally made with meat chunks. Now people use ground or minced meat and call all of it shepherds pie.
Love a good cottage pie especially with loads of cheese!!!!!
