I am doing this right now. Got it out without too much breakage (haha, love your crunchy sound effects). Just put the new dash in, but have not completed the re-installation of all components. Trying to figure out how avoid squeaks from the front windshield contact area. Don't want to have to do this again. Thanks.
Thank you for clear footage video. I have BMW650I 2007 convertible having issues with the armrest console latch. Suddenly it won’t open along with the trunk BUT everything else working such as doors soft top. Watch videos talking about the key at the back console where you can disarm both the trunk and armrest console from the central locking. SO I did turn the key 🔑 that is in the fob turn it to the left as the position was in the center IF you turn it to the right than both trunk and console won’t open for security reason. Anyway I turned it to the left which I was able to open the trunk. When I turn the key to the right I can hear the mechanism locking. SO the functionality is OK but I feel the latches stuck. I have been to few local garages one told me YOU might need to change the central locking modular. So for the last three weeks the armrest console the front part won’t open. I wonder if any viewers whom faced with this issue? One garage said they might need to remove the whole console unit and check for any damage wiring, another said I might need to replace the locking modular. Thank you and God bless.
@@BMWReviews I would consider it if I was living close by. Not only the cost of the unit but also the shipping would be very expensive. SO I don’t think it’s cost effective unless the distance is drivable. Thank you 🙏 anyway for the support and suggestion. Will keep this in mind as an ultimate option.

hi, thanks for the video , i have a quick question, i have to remove the rear section of the carpet in my 04 645ci , and i think might be best to remove the fronts as well, due to massive water leak , my question is this , , i know i have to remove the arm rest, but do you have to remove the center part of the dash to remove the arm rest. ??. thanks
@@BMWReviewsthanks for the reply , its one of the long list of jobs i have to do on my car ASAP , my car is parked on a hill generally and after the resent rain storms i took 9 litres of water out from the drivers side passenger footwell !!!!, and because here in the UK, its rained every day since. its never going to dry, , suspected blocked brake booster drain , plus got to remove both head lights as thee going to be housing goldfish if i dont dry them out too :), weirdly there arnt alot of vids on the 6 series ,

Tell me how to replace the bluetooth module. I have something that he suddenly stopped working from the former owner! need to look maybe he did not connect to the end of the wire? My phone sees the bluetooth of the car but the connection is not stable!
There are four T30 screws beneath the rubber tray in the rear shelf, and 2 screws under the 2 rear plastic cap at the rear tray hinge. And one T30 screw in the beneath middle when you remove the transmission gear selector trim. Also disconnect the black main center console wiring harness top right corner close to seat heating panel. So you wont have to suffer disconnecting every bit under the armrest assembly.
Hey instead of playing cool tunes why don't you explain step by step to remove the center console. I've followed everything by your video except mine won't even budge! Any other hidden screws you didn't show?
Robert, You can see holes for the 5 screws that hold the center console @ 3:50 Open up the rear leather door on your E63 BMW center console armrest, under the rubber mat there are two screws, and there are two little plastic covers that hold two additional screws 0:22, Then open up the front armrest as well all the way, there is one more screw under it.
@@BMWReviews mine has a cup holder. I took that out and found the screws ( bit of a challenge though ) My other problem is the Bluetooth antenna over by the shifter goes nowhere. ( I have no idea where that other connector goes. One black & red connector goes directly to the Bluetooth antenna and the other goes around the airbag module to nowhere... Which is strange. Also my orange shift indicator light isn't working, I lost track of where the yellow cord connects to. However my replacement idrive controller works great ( not bad for $35.00 ) My next three things left are 1, Getting the Pass side hid to work. 2, getting the pass airbag light off, 3, finding the mysterious oil leak fixed. ( Oil sending unit was recently replaced ) but still leaking at the pass side ) I don't think it's the Alternator Bracket because the alternator is pretty clean ( car has 77400 original miles ) Thanks for the prompt response.
Well, that would be the real challenge. 10x this much work. Even the engine would has to be pulled. They would charge me 2000$ on that by the way in Budapest.

I hacve an M6 Full Merino all stitched leather center console with latch mechanism if you need it you can buy it. Let me know.

Armrest can be removed without removing dashboard

How you remove the middle parts i remove all bulds but stil stuck why
