I love that pitcher. Stunning! I guess I'm a Winter person I wish our Winters were 8 months long with lots of snow. 5 storms this Winter but now at 45 degrees it's melting away. I do like beautiful flowers shrubs and trees. But after 2 months of rain bugs during spring and the heat of summer 😩 I can't wait till late Fall. And then beautiful cold Winter.

My Uncle always had a huge flower and vegetable garden. When I visited (usually once a week) I never came home empty handed. He would load me up with fresh vegetables, flowers and a jar of his amazing pickled beets! He passed away in October and I miss him dearly. I can find vegetables and flowers readily but they won't be the same! I'm looking forward to gardening with you!

As a New Zealander I felt very proud when you said the mattress had New Zealand wool - we have more sheep here than people! I hope your mum finds it a very comfortable mattress. Southern hemisphere here - so we are winding up summer (still getting up to 27C (80F) here) and heading into autumn...my favourite season. Best wishes, Gail

Angela, You must try silk tie dyed Easter egg decorating. It is a tradition I started after I saw it online. We have been doing it for several years now. We started when we adopted our daughter from China. It will be 5 years ago this Sunday. She was born with a cleft lip and palate. Each time we go to a thrift store we pick up silk ties. Whatever pattern is on the tie comes out on the egg. It is so cool. You will love it. I thought you could share the idea with Shay as well. Stay well....from Sayville, NY
Love the artichokes going in the bird bath!! When your mom said she was heading to the pool I thought yes- I have been swimming the last 2 days here in sunny Sarasota, FL!☀️ It is nice but I do miss the snow and snuggly weather!
I couldn't get over that fence you all made around the garden. Reminds me of Big Cedar Lodge and the kind of work they did with tree branches. I love it.

Hello from Missouri! The guest room is going to be enchanting! Good luck with the snaodragonss--it's wonderful to start easing into spring. Tomorrow I'm taking my spring decorations out of storage and decking the house in pastels. Odds are it will snow (the weather likes to hurt my feelings this time of year! LOL), but I do my best to carry on knowing that spring will come eventually.

Look at you! You have changed so much over the time we first started. I guess as your family has changed you have evolved. We have had a snowy winter in Iowa. 24 below is not good. The snow is melting here so I hope we are moving closer also. I wish I could go to the water and sit and listen to it lap up onto the sand. Oh well. Your kids have so much fun. So get to work on that bedroom for your Mom. Can't wait to see it. Joyce
The difficulty is in not jumping the gun on outdoor gardening activities, like planting, isn't it? We simply can't wait to get the ball rolling but Mother Nature has a way of reminding us who's really running the show. Too soon too often means starting all over from scratch. In late April/early May where we live, a sunny 70 degrees on a Thursday afternoon can turn into a horizontally driven icy & sleety Friday morning.

Oh, Angela! I'm already stiff and sore from working out in the garden (yes, I live in So.Cal...DON'T hate me😉), but you are inspiring me to keep going. So much to do, especially since our lovely neighbor has allowed us to garden in her yard this year. Breaking new ground is HARD WORK, even though I just turned 50 last week, I'm feeling like I'm 80😏. I'm also making a slew of concrete stones to make a mosaic in our front cottage garden. I can't wait to see it what you'll be up to in the garden this year.😘

Our Texas landscapes are so sad looking after 0˚ but I already have some green leaves sprouting on my honeysuckle vine.
