At 5:10 you talk about using red Loctite. I would be very cautious of doing that even if Vortex recommends it. Normally you will need a lot of heat to break that loose. Blue Loctite would be my choice. According to Loctite's web site : "Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It protects threads from rust and corrosion and prevents loosening from shock and vibration. It is only removable once cured by heating up parts to 500°F (260°C)."
@@GaragePrints stick with what vortex recommends. red does not require heat to remove every mechanic and I mean EVERY mechanic knows you don't NEED heat, you need a properly sized Allen so you don't strip it thats it, and some muscles. Blue lock tight will come loose the vibrations are extreme, a thumper vibrations would be even worse, had a drz with blue lock tight rattle bolts loose still. use the recommended lock tight please.
hahahahaha "Kawasaki OEM place"!! hahaha that made me chuckle! Yeah I love these rearsets - they are awesome. Not sure they're worth the price though as they are insanely expensive. P.S that pic of your little girl on your bike is priceless. She has a wonderful smile.
@@GaragePrints do you still have the stock rear sets? if so look at the bottom of the stock brake, there is a heavy spring that pulls the brake back up after you press. the vortex doesnt have this spring. so when you press the vortex brake it stays like 90% on unless you pull the brake bacvk up
Rust is just oxidation and aluminum does oxidized although not in the same manner as steel. But I know what you mean, definitely not my brightest moments.
Vortex doesn't supply a Brake LINE... They supply a Brake HOSE to relocate the reservoir for the brake fluid... And yes I had to use it to mount everything up the right way.

You are correct, natural selection is at play here my baby is a hardcore baby and she knew exactly what she was doing. We had done this multiple times with us right next to her and she loved sitting on the bike. And even then my wife was just of camera ready to step in if needed.
Yo, man..... should have saved some money by going Ebay Chinese! I would not want to support companies that charges whatever ridiculous amount of money they come up with in their head just for some aluminium pieces that costs 20 cents to make. From what I've gathered soo far in watching reviews, the Chinese rearsets are just as well made costing like 1/10th of the price of these greedy 'name brand' manufacturers!
I have not used any of the eBay rearsets and at over 100 bucks, with a 3 week wait time (not always), zero warranty and no ability to buy replacement parts in the event of a crash that results in only partial damage to the rearsets I prefer to buy something that’s more expensive upfront that will save me money in the long run.
@@AnthonyHill77 have you seen my video doing a review on the Attack Performance Rearsets? I think they are a better option, especially for shorter riders.

What did you do on the brake side so the lever comes back up???
Not sure what you mean, once everything is installed and you bleed the air out of the system it just works...

She's the best rider I know... And pancakes probably don't help grown in the height department perhaps I can grow my belly that way but not much else.
