They are so much fun to do, just getting to use all the inks and pens together! And a nice diversion from the naturalistic stuff I usually do! Thank you 😄
Noted! Now I don't have a time lapse of any of these BUT I will be dropping a new graffiti name in a couple of weeks :) hopefully that can suffice?? Thanks for watching!
Hi, I usually do the writing first and the background last, only because I usually know what colour the letters are going to be before the background! With these studies, I think the orange Wok Bandits one, I did all the colour in strips over the pencil lines before I put the black areas and white highlights on after - it was cool to do it this way!
Hi, it was an A6 Moleskine Sketchbook. A really well made, hardback sketchbook with 42 pages of cartridge-type thick paper. I only used one side because markers bleed through but you could double the page count to 84 'sides' if you used pencil, ink or watercolour 👍 Thanks for watching!
Hi, I know what you mean! I've found out that some are easier to read than others, with Wildstyle being one of the most 'coded' or difficult to read styles. But that's also part of the fun, isn't it? Trying to figure out what they actually say... 😄 Thanks for commenting.
@@gee355Art I agree! I totally love your art btw! I discovered your channel a little bit ago and I've been watching videos non stop whell I'm drawwing! Thanks for reacting :D
You did a very nice job mate. Some proper kings in there too- Astek, Skore79, Aidz, Bonzai. Nice. I've done stuff with Bonzai. Check out my blackbook work on my channel. Peace.
so did you copy mistakes artists have made as well? Main point of studing/learning is to make one mistake less each session You start to see your minuses more and more and have rapid improvement in knowledge Then all you need to do is grind and grind (but have fun or take a break) to get muscle memory Embrace Yours And Others Mistakes To Be Better At What You Do And What You Are Keep up the good work yo : )
Hi, I think if I copied their mistakes I may have been unaware that they were actually mistakes, I might have thought things were intentional? I certainly made quite a few mistakes when studying them - usually proportional from starting out too big and then squeezing them to make em fit 😃 To be able to see prelim sketches would be good and probably a real education in terms of what colours were tried first and what shapes were changed but I guess most of these artists only share finished pieces. Thanks for the tips and encouragement 🖒 I'll keep trying!!
@@gee355Art If you can see them by yourself thats good, thats what is important after all Hint(if you want):try to study 3d and vanishing points of your pieces, always learn from your pieces...art is something like this:make piece -> study of that piece -> Improvement on that piece(try to think what you can do better with it but dont draw yet hehe) -> get Knowledge you dont have yet -> Grind it -> new fresh piece -> use you new knowledge on piece...and the cycle continue 4 EVER Muahahahahahaha I mean you cant stop improving(you cant be perfect and stop learning,if you do that you are just arrogant ) So after all that monologue of me point is just spend some time with your finished piece, get 2 know each other XD
That's correct, it's my graffiti research sketchbook, learning techniques and ideas by studying the pros. Kind of like when you go to an art gallery and do a bunch of sketches of the cool art you see there? I was careful to credit every artist I'd studied in the video so there's no confusion 🙂

Amazing work, what brand of sketchbook is this?

You could also just lay a few other papers under it so the paper bleeds on the papers that are under it
Cool 🆒 thanks for sharing
What markers do you use
These are mostly promarkers with some old letraset Flexmarkers and the odd Copic!! Plus Posca for the highlights... thanks for watching!
👍🔥🔥🔥

Start from the top or bottom and try to follow the lines. Pretty sure that there are some videos with information on it.
