    not the biggest fan of gugudan but I felt like the group could have made it bigger domestically and internationally if only jellyfish knew how to manage them properly. all the girls are great singers in their own right. I'm glad all the girls are just doing fine and have found success individually.

      Agree, I think they had members with so much talent but needed to focus on managing them better so they could have more opportunities to showcase their talents, unfortunately the pandemic played a factor in their decision to disband them

    Gugudan, my girls I miss them sooo much 😭😭😭💕 I wished Jellyfish wouldn't have given up so soon on them, they had amazing music & so much potential 💕 I will forever be their fan!💕

      I miss them too! It's really weird how they just gave up on them, if they had more comebacks their fanbase would've grown in my opinion. It's sad to see how the members' talents were being wasted.

      Thank you! I was always wondering what the members were up to after disbandment and researching for the video made me happy to still see the members pursuing activities in the entertainment industry.

      Me too, I saw a tiktok where sejeong went to perform at USC and someone mentioned a gugudan song to her and she was actually shocked someone knew the group and thanked them for mentioning it. I would've cried!! I'm happy to see the members doing their own activities now. Thanks for watching!

    Of all the groups that have disbanded, Gugudan and Pristin were the two that hurt the most. I still listen to their music often. Both groups deserved better, their companies gave up on them too soon.

    • @danielxrdc
      @danielxrdc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. They didn’t even last the normal 7 years like most groups. It was especially weird seeing pristin disband after only 2 years

      Thank you for watching! I am not the biggest loona fan but have been following them and been a casual listener since predebut. I have been watching a lot of videos detailing what has been going on so I was thinking of waiting before considering making my own video on it. Thank you for the recommendation, I think I have another group I want to cover beforehand since big news dropped about them recently.

    Honestly the company was too quick with the debut, removing Sejeong and Mina during IOI comeback was a bad idea.

    I discovered Sejeong through I.O.I then saw her with Gu9udan. I loved Gu9udan & the Semina sub-unit. I've continued to follow Sejeong through her dramas & solo work. But that entire group was amazingly talented. My favorite Gu9udan song is Pastel Sweater, an amazing track.

    • @danielxrdc

      Gugudan’s talents were amazing, I loved watching their a cappella covers! I wish Sejeong releases more solo albums because I loved Plant and Warning. Thank you for sharing and for watching!

      @danielxrdc I love Sejeong, tho I think she will continue to do a lot more OST work. I wish nothing but happiness and success for her, she is a kind person, truly genuine & deserves the best. Now Subscribed.

    gugudan is my favorite girl group, it's sad for me bc i couldn't be with them for that long (i found out about them a little after act.3) but they're all amazing and talented women and they deserve all the support in the world!! i like xiening's work with bonbon girls a lot since she didn't have that much opportunity to show her talent and skills while in gugudan. thank you so much for making this ♡♡♡

    • @danielxrdc
      @danielxrdc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching! I also think I started becoming a fan pretty late, because I was only a casual listener up until act 4 when I started gaining a lot of interest in them. I was happy to see Xiening showcase her talents on Produce Camp and in bonbon girls because I could see that she really didn't want to give up on her dreams and it was amazing to see her accomplishments on the show and in the group. I've been happy to see the members still working in the entertainment industry in some capacity after disbandment.

    The group failed cuz they had one of the best rappers out there MINA and didnt have one song that featured her skills. They had 2 members from IOI, Sejeong and Mina and didnt do a subunit with them? Bad management is what killed this group.

    • @danielxrdc
      @danielxrdc  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I do wish that Jellyfish did give Mina more of an opportunity to showcase her rapping since she did train years for it. Also, Sejeong and Mina were in a subunit with Nayoung, gugudan SeMiNa. When this subunit debuted, I remember hearing some people theorize that Jellyfish was potentially only going to debut the three of them as a trio instead of a 9 member group since they didn't really showcase the other members before debut and the public only knew of them three from Produce 101. Fortunately Mina was able to participate in writing some of the lyrics for SeMiNa, possibly her rap sections. I hoped they would give her more opportunities to contribute with writing in group comebacks as well.
      If you were mentioning a subunit as in a duo with only Sejeong and Mina, in my opinion I don't know how that would do because they might have received some backlash for it since it might show that the company would only care about Sejeong and Mina and promote them instead of the whole group (even though they did kind of do that but with acting). Pre gugudan I could see the duo as a possibility. It probably made more sense to have a subunit like SeMiNa since it came with the Produce nostalgia.
      As for why they disbanded, I believe several factors come into play here. The pandemic, for one, but it seemed like since before then, after Not That Type era, Jellyfish didn't do a lot to promote the group or give them comebacks, it seemed like they just gave up on them (which we can see with them telling the members to leave their dorms and telling Sally to just go back home to China and not come back). Bad management indeed, in my opinion after researching this.

    • @frankverisco4722
      @frankverisco4722 ปีที่แล้ว

      I meant a sub unit of just Mina and Sejeong since Sejeong did solo activities I dont see what the big deal would of been. Sejeong was more popular than the group with her acting and solo stuff.

      I was having a bit of a hard time finding unique gugudan fancam videos I can use (that allowed for reposting and reuploading, since a lot I found had instructions to not reupload or repost regardless of crediting them) for gugudan and for intros and outros where I don’t really talk about the groups it helps so I can save the fancam videos I found for the actual video when I talk about them. Hope this makes sense
