Great Video & thanks for share. I've used in a pinch a tarp with PVC pipe, not as good looking as yours but work for a weekend. Now got some shopping to do for this setup.

You just screwed through the top plate and used butyl tape? No other sealing needed like around the screws?
I have a very similar top plate and looking for a way to secure to top plate side mount like you did. I do NOT want to add any holes to the roof.
Just worry about water coming in through the screw and running down the inside wall??

So you really need a ladder to be able to put the awning up or down.
You don't need a ladder, but having two people really helps. I have done it myself, but it is very challenging. The good news is that for a relatively inexpensive awning, they hold up very well. We have had ours out in very intense winds and rain storms without damage. You definitely need on side lower that the other during rain storms for the water to run off. If you don't the water will build up and the weight will cause damage. We had a friend that didn't do that and it bent his vertical support beam. Thanks so much for watching!!!
Is it challenging to put away by yourself?
I can do it by myself, but I really prefer to have an extra set of hands. Wind can cause some challenges. Thanks for watching!!!
Why would you notput a full length awning on ?
This was the biggest awning for the size of the trailer. They didn't have them as exact fits for the application. They have worked very well. They are very sturdy in the wind, much more so than I expected. Thanks so much for watching!!!
