Russ is an amazing player, he just needed to focus more on what he's good at - Passing, Cutting, Transition, Hustle, and less on what he's bad at - 3pt, Decision making and Clutch performance.
It's so good to see players like Jeff teague having his own media platform because then you guys give us the real not the watered-down media like ESPN who like to bash Russell Westbrook. When Russell Westbrook has been playing some of the best basketball of his life like he's the only player that can play this good and not get a starting role or not get paid like wth?
From what i've seen he don't care as much for big paycheck, just wanted to prove to the league he still got it in him, well he did I believe nuggets will get him at least for one more year for similar contract and he will be fine with it, i mean he is Russel Westbrook he got money
I love Club 520, Teague has some great stories. He's not the best communicator but the two other really do a good job. As for commercial media, that's legacy media like newspapers. I get way more better quality and variety in podcasts and YT shows that I'd ever get on ESPN, Fox sports and drama queen providers.
Russ is an off ball menace for the first time and stopped taking horrible mid range pull ups. He is becoming the player that the haters have wanted him to be since pre bubble Houston.
Mad respect for Russ! The last time I saw him live was when he was with the Clippers playing against a shitty Raptors team. Harden, PG and Kawhi barely broke a sweat while Russ was literally out of breathe, glistening with sweat going all out & still gave us a freakin' show! What an incredible player! I'd love for him to win a ring!
Maybe they should trade MPJ for more dunkers who can play defense? That seems to be easier to find than a 3 and D player. If Russ can be this impactful without an outside shot, maybe they don't need the outside shot?
I honestly think starting russ over Jamal would make sense, especially cause he's been having a poor season and russ somehow already seems to have better chemistry with Jokic. Besides Jamal off the bench would allow him to actually be the main scorer in that unit which even if he isnt perfectly efficient he can score on his own
Nah, Murray’s still their number 2 and isn’t coming off the bench. Even if he’s having a bad season, they’re going to give him every chance to play his way out of it because if he can’t, they’re screwed anyway.
Realistically, Russ should remain as a 6th man at least till the end of the regular season to get his chemistry going with the entire team. In the long run though, I think there need to be a few changes: - MPJ needs to be converted to a Power Forward in most games. He can dunk and is a good shooter. - Christian Braun should play as a Small Forward more often. For a guard he doesn't do many assists per game and if you see him on offence, he prefers to finish alone with a layup. He is fast, has good off the ball movement so might be a good fit for a permanent small forward. - Murray should remain a shooting guard, Russ as a point guard. Possibly they can keep Julian Strawther as their back up shooting guard and let him develop. This still means that the Nuggets need a good back-up centre and then a back-up playmaker.
Wow. Hats off to the Nuggets GM. Noticed what Jamal wasn't bringing to the table and fixed it. Resulted in a ton of extra assists for Jokic. And easy baskets. Sheesh. Russ and Jokic are throwing absolute dimes to each other. Larry Bird style. Clowning the Defense 😂
Stop it. Russ was brought in to replace Reggie Jackson as backup PG and solve the nonJokic mins problem which were always horrible but worse under Reggie. They're actually even worse this year when Jok sits.
@vlada Delusional opinion. Reggie was always productive. DeAndre Jordan and Reggie have both been benched, after the Title run. But, were both instrumental parts of that championship. Same with Bruce Brown and Jeff Green. The real problem is Braun and Watson. Both are weaknesses on any championship team. Also signing Saric to actually play center is another violation. Too small to play with the Thunder, Mavs and any other legit contender. Again, Murray gets ZERO fast break layups. Jokic was underutilized as a passer. And Russ solved both problems
Lovin' the Jokic / Westbrook combo this year! These guys are constantly making high IQ decisions in a split second. The synergy between the ridiculously good fundamentals of both is a joy to watch.
I'm happy for Russ. He's found a home in Denver. The Lakers look silly for blaming Russ. Russ playing so good with Jokic shows just how good Jokic is. Everyone plays well with Jokic, but few people play well with LeBron. Also, Ty Lue is overrated af! He had Russ but didn't know how to best use his services.
I completely agree, Russ's first season with the clippers as a starter was amazing. When he went to the bench the second season, he was still decent, but Ty Lue really did not know what he was doing that season and completely threw away the talent he had that postseason even with Kawhi injured
Once upon a time I thought Russel westbrook as the most selfish player, triple doubles without winning the game. But since failed trips to Lakers and Clippers where he was benched, the latter he offered to be benched for team harmony, he has learnt humility. And now he is a true team player.
Here´s my opinion on Westbrook right now. He knows his position and skill set, he knows what he can bring to the team and specially what the team needs in each possession, offense and defense. If they need one more pass he'll do it, if they need someone to cut to the basket he'll do it. But more importantly than all of this, he's trying his best so that the team can get the best out of every single possession. In my book, i call that being eficient, and Russ is being exactly that, eficient in scoring, passing, rebound, stealing, but most importantly helping that team when they need it Edit: Also look at the play at 4:15 Aaron Gordon has always been cutting to the basket in this team, and there are a lot of highlights of him doing that in the Nuggets Championship title, but Russ saw Jokic stopping and looking for a pass a fraction of a second earlier than Gordon, making him the one who got to score
If Russ gets a ring with Denver, this would be the best Championship run EVER!
Jokic would be Goated for that.
In my opinion not one player in the NBA deserves it more
Maybe not the best ever but definitely 10X better than KD's 2!

I ALWAYS liked the guy.
TL;DR play with Jokic, no one will guard you, your stats will go up.
As a thunder fan I love that russ is doing well in Denver
I’d just be happy to see him win a (real) title before KD
Russ showing how he does it !
With aggressive movements / cuts and sharp passing ! Keeps defenses off balance/ on back foot.
RUSS = LEGEND
1:42 man MPJ really don’t be passing the ball 🤣🤣🤣
And this is why i never stopped saying that he's my favorite player even during those Lakers years
He was trash on the lakers
@@johnjovanovichwick4194 and you’re a trash person soo what 🤷🏽♂️
“LebROn mAkEs hIs TeAmMate bEttER”
My favorite player since he was in OKC. Love him! 👏🏻
Earned my sub, unbiased analysis. Great enthusiam. Please capture more Russ this season if you can! Much love from Canada.
Russ was Laker's best player for a stint, but ppl h8 anyways. Now he can peak.
Russ and Jokic was so great fun to watch that's basketball sharing the ball 🔥
Westbeook is saving the nuggets season. Love watching him play now
LeBron demanded a trade for Russ and they are awful. Jokic requests a trade for Russ and he is amazing. Pretty obvious imo
Russ is an amazing player, he just needed to focus more on what he's good at - Passing, Cutting, Transition, Hustle, and less on what he's bad at - 3pt, Decision making and Clutch performance.
Take Lebron away from any player and they magically perform better.
From what i've seen he don't care as much for big paycheck, just wanted to prove to the league he still got it in him, well he did
I believe nuggets will get him at least for one more year for similar contract and he will be fine with it, i mean he is Russel Westbrook he got money
Just realized Westbrook has bro in the middle of it, and his nickname is The Brody 🤷🏽♂️
That's why!! Nice
His nickname isn't Brody for that reason .. Brody is a common slang term in L.A.
i saw a glimpse of russ doing this with the clippers and with Jokic he jus doing it on another level
Russell westbrook should be the starting point guard
i must publicly apologize to westbrook for not believing in him with joker. The guy is proving me wrong. He's playing beautiful basketball
Maybe they should trade MPJ for more dunkers who can play defense? That seems to be easier to find than a 3 and D player. If Russ can be this impactful without an outside shot, maybe they don't need the outside shot?
TOP 5 PG OF ALL TIME.
This is what people thought was gonna happen when he got to lakers. I guess LeBron couldn’t make it work like Joker. 👍🏽
love to see him being productive and contributing. rooting for westbrook and the nuggets
I honestly think starting russ over Jamal would make sense, especially cause he's been having a poor season and russ somehow already seems to have better chemistry with Jokic. Besides Jamal off the bench would allow him to actually be the main scorer in that unit which even if he isnt perfectly efficient he can score on his own
Russ is a way better Playmaker for the second squad... it makes no sense.
Nah, Murray’s still their number 2 and isn’t coming off the bench. Even if he’s having a bad season, they’re going to give him every chance to play his way out of it because if he can’t, they’re screwed anyway.
The triangle offense between Jokic and Russ is so fluid
Denver should ask Jokic what else he wants to change or what players to get. The guy knows his players.
I don’t seem enough recognition that he’s playing with the best teammate in the history of the nba…
Realistically, Russ should remain as a 6th man at least till the end of the regular season to get his chemistry going with the entire team. In the long run though, I think there need to be a few changes:
- MPJ needs to be converted to a Power Forward in most games.
Watching Westbrook thrive is such a great thing to see
Everyone knew a big man who could pass and shoot is what Russ needed since the mvp days
Russ might honestly be the best pound for pound athlete the league ever saw man.
5:55 AYO Why you gotta do DeAndre like that!!! 😂
More like hats off to Jokic for pushing the front office to sign Russ, but yh. Much better move than anyone could have predicted.
How can you not love Russ :^)
In my book, i call that being eficient, and Russ is being exactly that, eficient in scoring, passing, rebound, stealing, but most importantly helping that team when they need it
Edit: Also look at the play at 4:15 Aaron Gordon has always been cutting to the basket in this team, and there are a lot of highlights of him doing that in the Nuggets Championship title, but Russ saw Jokic stopping and looking for a pass a fraction of a second earlier than Gordon, making him the one who got to score
Spacing, Spacing, Spacing. Denver can open the floor for him to feast, I’m glad he is doing well. He deserves to be a champion
One thing people forget to mention is that both Jokic and Russell are incredible durable players. This makes a huge difference in the playoffs
Russ is happy over here.
Is that Balatro music at 6:00 or am i just getting a balatro widrawal
Everyone looks better when they leave LA. Except Podcast Pee. P is just washed
When Jokic asked for a particular player, you just brings that person in. J+B is JUST d BEST!
Yessir Russ been cookin no more haters
Russ is Russ.. the only difference here he's playing with a group fit his way of playing.. plus they not asking too much of him ..
Hey man thanks for this video! Love seeing videos like this about MY G.O.A.T. 💯💯💯💯
