Kings fan here: I believe Vivek is the true problem because his ego is so huge he is obsessed with winning now, at the expense of makign smarter long term moves (rebuilding). He'd rather make bad trades for mid talent to try and win now, which is why the kings are always barely a play in team and don't get a top pick. Unfortunately they picked bagley when they could've picked luka, but that was before this GM. Vivek is the real problem
the owner knows nothing about basketball hes a computer software guy thats why he puts faith in a GM like Monte...only reason why the owner stands out is because he is non-white. Do you know who the owner of Pistons or the Pacers are?
Can't believe what you wrote, especially as a King fan, Kings have been in rebuilt mode since the end of their 2000 era, wtf are you on about ? He had plenty of patience, at some point you have to take a direction.

That's your boy, Vivek He is impulsive and meddling in front office affairs when he has no real background constructing a team. Remember him on draft day yelling to draft Stauskas? "STAUSKAS??? STAUSKAS???" You say Vivek is patient; Let me just show you how crazy and wrong you are with facts. How many coaches have the kings had since Vivek has been owner. Here: 🔸 Michael Malone (2014-2015) 🔸 Tyrone Corbin (2015) 🔸 George Karl (2015-2016) 🔸 Dave Joerger (2017-2019) 🔸 Luke Walton (2020-2022) 🔸 Alvin Gentry (2022) 🔸 Mike Brown (2023-2024) Btw, Malone went on to win a championship with the Nuggets, a lot of those other coaches were stupid hires or terrible decisions made by Vlade. As Raptors fan who still loves Demar, I admit it as true. Demar's playstyle is getting unsuitable for the kings and many of the NBA teams, his defense also hasn't improved much, and he's just a shooting space creator for himself that makes slow down every team's offense pace. It's sad to see it...

@@S.C.-wo8hq Vesenkov is surely no trash, he returned to Euroleague and goes back to back player of the game. However, I do believe that his style of play is not suitable for NBA: Vesenkov plays mostly without the ball, with back door cuts and pop outs for 3pts attempts (he once had a 26 pts, FIBA 40min duration game with a single dribble), while NBA values iso game too much. On top of that, he reportedly didn't play, because he is no good defender, which is true, but it was widely known before bringing him on, so where was Kings' scouting?
They didn’t need more offense, they needed defense. But as is Kings custom, the front office has no idea what the team needs and handcuffs the team and coach, creating an awful situation for individual players

Coach's shouldn't call out their players to the media, they should call them out behind the scenes. Don't let the whole world in on your drama, it just makes things harder to work through. you guys CLEARLY don’t watch the team with mike brown. not starting, or barely playing, or sometimes not even playing keon ellis, your best defender and shooting 40% from three is one of the WORST coaching decisions i’ve EVER seen. EVERY basketball metric says the lineup should be fox ellis derozan murray and domas. (that lineup has a plus 20 net rating btw) but NO mike brown has the WORST rotations and lineups in ALL of basketball. barely playing isaac jones who has been great, barely playing keon ellis, and overplaying negatives like kevin huerter and doug mmcdemmort. do not let the MEDIA deceive you, mike brown DESERVED to be fire, not in the way he was. Jason Kidd is a waay more player friendly coach than Pop or Udoka (as a Mavs fan I prefer Pop, Brown and Udoka) but no way he would fit with Luka or Kyrie already there.
Brown coached the team thru Fox the same way Belichick coached the patriots thru Tom Brady, the same way pop coached thru Duncan and unfortunately Fox wasn’t mature enough to realize it yet
If the reporting accurately indicates Fox's character, who would want to trade for him now? No defense, no championship mentality and seemingly soft character deflecting blame on others. You can't win a chip with a one way star player taking up the majority of the cap.
You can't say the issue with the Kings is crunch time and give evidence that they are playing like a top-10 team otherwise, then throw out an assertion that the roster construction is bad. None of the reasons people give for why the roster is bad actually lines up with why they are losing games.
I'm seeing the Kings a week from now when I travel to Boston, so I just hope their big stars are still with the team by that point, because it would suck to miss seeing guys like Sabonis and Fox.
Yeah believe this great NBA bubble philosopher who said “ We started to hear the rumblings that nobody is going to respect this chip so we kind of just took our foot off the gas” - after they choked on a 3-1 lead vs the nuggets 😂
This is why I've been calling people crazy if they think the Spurs would even consider a trade for Fox...NO WAY! He's talented, but not that guy. No team needs a coach killer
The fragility of the professional athlete’s ego today needs to be studied. Guys have zero accountability and are terrified of being coached because it’ll force them to self-evaluate and realize they aren’t perfect. The current state of sports, especially basketball, is flat out embarrassing.

The more I see these things the more it seems like a good front office is as rare as nearly extinct animals. Makes you appreciate the good front offices like GSW and Boston a lot.
The Kings at least tried to not only maintain their core, but also added another star player in Demar. The Wolves meanwhile broke up their core by trading Towns.
And how much success did the Kings really have? Two seasons ago they peaked by making the playoffs and being eliminated in the first-round.
the Poodles & Wackramento are definitely in the “perpetual loser organizations” category
Pacers made it to the East finals and are mid this year. They made no moves.
@@THE_BEST_THAT_EVER_DID_IT you're forgetting Hornets. They are the absolute worst when it comes to doing anything positive. The Lakers have been pretty trash for the last few seasons as well. But Lebron has a big hand in that though.

@@thegto8535 You honestly must be Vivek's burner account and/or related to him because I actually find it amazing that you believe what you wrote, as a true kings fan. You have to be pretty deluded to not see Vivek has been a terrible and impulsive owner.
Do you know who Luka Doncic is?? What about Marvin Bagley? Yeah, one is a franchise lifting superstar and the other one is floundering somewhere in NBA nebula (the Wizards). Who hired Vlade Divac to be GM with little to no front office experience? That's your boy, Vivek
He is impulsive and meddling in front office affairs when he has no real background constructing a team. Remember him on draft day yelling to draft Stauskas? "STAUSKAS??? STAUSKAS???"
You say Vivek is patient; Let me just show you how crazy and wrong you are with facts. How many coaches have the kings had since Vivek has been owner. Here:
🔸 Michael Malone (2014-2015)
🔸 Tyrone Corbin (2015)
🔸 George Karl (2015-2016)
🔸 Dave Joerger (2017-2019)
🔸 Luke Walton (2020-2022)
🔸 Alvin Gentry (2022)
🔸 Mike Brown (2023-2024)
Btw, Malone went on to win a championship with the Nuggets, a lot of those other coaches were stupid hires or terrible decisions made by Vlade.
I could easily find more issues with his meddling and impatience that has kept this franchise middling (save for the nice playoffs year). Wtf am I on about? I'm dismissing your blind Vivek praise with facts. I'm a kings fan, just not ignorant
Bagley was going above luka no matter what. Just happened that kings got that pick instead of mavs
@@thegto8535 Could give you tons of reasons why I think your'e wrong, but if you think Vivek is patient, just look at how many coaches the Kings have had since he took over the team.
🔸 Michael Malone (2014-2015)
🔸 Tyrone Corbin (2015)
🔸 George Karl (2015-2016)
🔸 Dave Joerger (2017-2019)
🔸 Luke Walton (2020-2022)
🔸 Alvin Gentry (2022)
🔸 Mike Brown (2023-2024)
There, I'll just show you the facts. He doesn't know what he's doing and he's too impatient to do a full rebuild which is why the kings have only really had 1 successful season since he started. He fired Malone on a whim even though he was basically the only coach that Cousins liked. Malone is now a championship coach too.
Being critical of the owner (for legit reasons) is not being a bad fan. Take off the blinders man
As a Kings fan, I’m done with the team until Vivek sells. He’s the real issue behind everything.

Just came across this video today. This is by far the best NBA TH-cam channel I've seen. So happy I found this channel.
Derozan kills half of modern NBA playbooks because he hurts spacing, isn't interested in defense and isn't a good playmaker for others.
He asked DeRpzan too come off the Bench. Oh the Humanity
He said there’s a lot of responsibility on you if you’re that guy and he’s that guy. When he says that I think he means he needs him to learn from all the experience that he’s getting. You won’t forever be a skilled young player. You need to learn these different scenarios of the game and become a primed star/veteran, who has learned how to get the job done
That Organization is sooo desperate not to lose its kinda star ...
They sided with the player on that firing.
They had the reigning Euroleague MVP on the roster last season and he wasn't even a 6th man, Sac played Barnes instead of Vezenkov ? Come on ...
They play different roles and honestly, maybe Vezenkov is just trash. Not every Euroleague player is gonna be Luka.
Sasha was trash 🗑️
They didn’t need more offense, they needed defense. But as is Kings custom, the front office has no idea what the team needs and handcuffs the team and coach, creating an awful situation for individual players
Who said he hates that approach? Fox literally said multiple times that he likes coaches that aren’t easy on players and hold them accountable. He even said he went to Kentucky because he knew calipari would be tough on him.
How do you know he isn't lying?
@ because these weren’t things he said after Mike got fired. He’s said these things well before any controversy came up, so it wasn’t just a lie to make him look good.

After getting your coach fired and you don't produce championship level output, you're going to look like a super bum.
Mike Brown knew he was on his way out. His last resort was calling Fox out publicly. Seems like Fox didn’t wanna be coached.
At this point, just stop hiring coaches if you won't let them do their job, and you're just gonna listen to the players. Save the money, open up one more rooster spot, and have 1 player to be a coach / player..... it's what their doing now.... only real coaches left are Pops, Spole, and Kerr...

Coach's shouldn't call out their players to the media, they should call them out behind the scenes. Don't let the whole world in on your drama, it just makes things harder to work through. This is like your boss calling you out in front of your clients or your colleagues instead of asking you to meet privately.

In the old days, it would have been considered 'challenging' Fox to be more of a leader, but now the players are so sensitive they think they're being called out. When you get paid tens of millions and seem disinterested in general or lazy on D, you should be called out.

Stars want all the credit but none of the blame
If the reporting accurately indicates Fox's character, who would want to trade for him now? No defense, no championship mentality and seemingly soft character deflecting blame on others. You can't win a chip with a one way star player taking up the majority of the cap.
You can't say the issue with the Kings is crunch time and give evidence that they are playing like a top-10 team otherwise, then throw out an assertion that the roster construction is bad. None of the reasons people give for why the roster is bad actually lines up with why they are losing games.
Bro people don’t know what a “snitch” means anymore lol
