    Your lessons are excellent! Your videos remind me of the time I was small and my mother read bedtime stories to me. Though reading is the best way to learn new vocabulary, reading doesn't translate to using the language in daily situations. I’m currently at the HSK 3 level; I have no problem reading in tone and impressing my Chinese friends. Still i haven't crossed the daily use gap. Conversations are dynamic, thus the conversation evolves as it occurs. Any suggestions on making that transition? Also your mandarin is very clear. Why is it that the actors in Chinese movies are hard to understand? 我期待着您的回复 - 谢谢您!

      My suggestion would be to premake some daily commonly used sentences and memorize them and try to use them more with native speakers in conversations.In daily life, people would speak faster. The more you listen to TV and things intended for native speakers, the more recognizable you would feel. We have some videos made on movies series that you can use to get used to listening to natural speech.

    I am a big fan of your contents. I am a perfectionist student. I have an issue with this sentence and the translation: 《拔苗助长》的教训是不能不顾事情发展的规律, 如果急于求成,那么反而会把事情弄得更糟。The lesson of the story is to ignore the laws of development, eager to achieve success, but to make things worse. In my opinion the addition of the character 人 in the Chinese version would make the meaning be conveyed better. 《拔苗助长》的教训是人不能不顾事情发展的规律, 如果急于求成,那么反而会把事情弄得更糟。So the translation could be as follows: The lesson of the story is that if people ignore the laws of development of things, in the eagerness to achieve success, one could make things even worse. We could translate 《拔苗助长》 as spoil things by excessive enthusiasm or even better the cure is worse than the disease.

      Thank you for your comments. That is right. It is more accurate. In Chinese we tend to omit subjects. It should be 人 there. Your translation is more accurate, it is what I wanted to express. Thank you!

    at 8:37 do you need the 处? can you just say 把禾苗一颗一颗往上拔 ,instead of 高处 can you just say 上?
    高处 强调的是他没有拔出来,而是往更高的地方拔了一点?

    Hi Laoshi, when pronouncing 什么, I always hear "shem me". I don't clearly hear "n" sound. Am I wrong here ?

    • @sysmandarin
      @sysmandarin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess it seems to you n is not pronounced, it is because it is a commonly used phrase and it is spoken very fast. I feel both ways are fine.
