The British man sounds like a pleasant and informative merchant trying to sell you Domino’s products while the American guy sounds like an uncle at a family gathering who’s already had a few beers.
Standard menu prices for Domino's in the UK are ridiculous. But they basically always have some sort of deal on, so most of the time you probably pay half. Obviously this is to get you to spend more to heat deal requirements, and spend more on sides which probably have a higher mark up. Also a point about the dough ingredients, you can basically add corn meal to the UK one as they work it through the dough as they stretch it out. Italian crust is literally made exactly the same as a classic crust, except they place it on top of an upside down stuffed crust pan, which basically makes the edge droop slightly and therefore not rise. I don't know if they are back yet, but when I worked at Domino's they had Cinni Dippers, which is basically a small pizza dough they sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over, before cutting into fingers, and it comes with an icing pot. They also did the Lotta-chocca Pizza, which is a small pizza dough they put a disc of chocolate on top of.
As an employee for Dominos in the UK, im surprised by how much bigger yet cheaper American Pizzas are. The amount of times ive had people walk out with swearing at me because of the price, usually I can give discounts but not always.

UK: "We pride ourselves on using minimal artificial flavoring and have more reasonable (overpriced) proportions" US : "WE ARE HERE FOR A GOOD TIME, NOT A LONG TIME"
The food laws of the USA are different from that in the United Kingdom. In the USA you have to say *everything* which is in the food, where as in the United Kingdom you don’t have to say literally *everything*. For example the cheese that’s in the pizza isn’t just cheese, there’ll be milk and what not in it. In the USA you have to say everything in the cheese but in the United Kingdom you can just pass it off as ‘cheese’. So obviously the ingredients of the UK have much more stuff inside it.

I think Uk is based on quality rather that quantity as America does . You can notice that as Uk's pizza is based mostly on pure ingredients , while America's pizza is cheaply made . That is the reason that it costs less there . ✌
It's like that in South Africa too literally my family would only eat out maybe once a month if we lucky but besides that it's home cooked meals all the way
If anyone's wondering why the USA menu has all this parmesan stuff, while the UK doesn't, it's because "Parmesan" is a protected term within the EU+UK. To be called "Parmesan" the cheese must be made in a specific way, in a specific part of Italy. This means the minimum level of quality is higher... but so is the price. A large scale pizza chain like Dominoes would never be able to afford to use that much parmesan. There are substitutes, but "Italian Hard Cheese" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
Dominos can be cheap and expensive. The single toppings small pizza is 60 cents to $1 something. The other mediums and larges are $3 to $5. So don't say as if 60 cents buys you an entire pizza. The sides like garlic bread, pasta and cakes are like $1 and up.
Its cheaper than the US and Uk no doubt. But spending 300 to 400rs on a large pizza not everyone does. I always get the pizza mania that is small. Total with tax about $1 and something
Little known piece of publicly available info is that for the Italian size pizza in uk dominos they actually just use a the dough from a size down and slap it onto a larger plate so that it stretches thinner. I remember when I was at dominos and fairly new to the slapping process it was actually surprisingly difficult to get the hang of doing the thinner crust pizzas decently without tearing parts of it Also the Tuna on Pizza is actually surprisingly decent, it’s like a tuna cheese melt with tomato. Also found that if you get it without the tomato sauce it’s pretty good with sweet corn and red onion.
Wil English sksisjjdjdjjdjdjdjsjsj it is quite expensive but not where i am i guess- like i don’t think it’s that price. like i’m in the north east of england so of course it’s not going to be expensive
You’re eating the exact same thing. The UK just doesn’t require that all active AND inactive ingredient be listed. Do you actually think UK dough doesn’t have salt? 😂😂😂
also, I lived in America for a bit and WOW I miss the Dominos from there compared to the one here in Aus. It must be those delicious additives and chemicals ahahaha
Just a heads up, the extra large that he had was cut into six slices because it was a BrookeLyn style pizza. It’s kind of a thinner crust so you can fold it up. If he wanted more slices, he could have gotten it hand-tossed, which is typically cut into eight. (I work at domino’s, I know these things)
My absolute favorite part is when Joe just says, "Oh well" and eats the pepperoni after learning that the BHA in pepperoni causes tumors in rats. That is the most American thing ever and I love it! Like, let's be real, if you already have a tumor then what's a few pepperonis really going to do to you?
I'm glad he mentioned that the cookies at dominoes uk are "really good" but he's still underselling it. They're the best cookies ever and I was surprised when talking to friends in the US they don't have them there
Basically if you’re gonna order Domino’s in the UK, you have to either collect, so you get an automatic buy one get one free offer, or get one of the good deals they offer on the app. Otherwise it’s way too expensive, especially if you’re ordering for yourself
I like seeing the differences in toppings that vary according to local tastes. In Germany, for example, Domino's offers to replace the marinara with either barbecue or hollandaise sauce since the latter is extremely popular there. Germans also *love* asparagus so when spring comes around, when it's peak asparagus season, Domino's also offers it as a topping.
The US guy is actually right on the hangover thing, i remember waking up hung over af at like 2 pm and my breakfast was a pepperoni pizza and that shit cured my hang over instantly
I, for one, would instantly and without hesitation or negotiation pay more to avoid eating all that crap the American dough had in it. No wonder they have loon, rogue shooters over there if they are filled with all those chemicals and that is just from pizza. The subway one of these videos was the same, more or less.
@@krispypotato551 I saw what I think was seasoning on the Pizza Hut pizzas I never see on the Dominos ones.. More sprinkles of something left in the box after pizza eaten for example. On the crusts too.
Americans can belch, and contaminate an air supply with potentially dangerous gases only found in mines. (Has not been fact checked, thank you for coming to my ted talk)
In the uk no one buys just a dominos pizza alone as they are so expensive, they have on going deals such as two medium pizzas, 2 sides and a drink for £19.99. So not that different to us prices
You also have to account for wages in each region. Here in the U.S., many states employ the split wage formula, also known as server wages(though drivers don't get paid as little as servers do). In Europe, I believe it's regular wages no matter what(correct me if I'm wrong please). So, by that account it would directly affect the cost of menu items.
In the Netherlands you can get a dessert called "Cinnastix", which are basically cinnamon breadsticks made from pizza-dough with sugar on top. You also get a tub of that white icing with it. It'll destroy your teeth if you don't brush afterwards.
All I learnt from this is that want a pizza in the US they will give you a periodic table of ingredients and if you want one in the uk you will need to take out a bank loan.
In fairness in the uk they have a deal on all the time that if u spend over £35 (2 pizzas) it’s half price so it’s actually only £10 for a large pizza Which I mean still is more expensive but isn’t a joke
actually one big mistake they made was not converting currency in the UK a large pizza is around £17.99, which is the equivelant of close to $24. which is 10 more than the US extra large. So in reality, you're paying less in the UK
Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin, and Riboflavin are all vitamins. Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate is a chemical derived from coconut and multiple studies have found the product entirely safe to eat.
The UK uses the same cheese, they just don’t have to list all the chemicals. In the US they do. The belief that in the UK they only use “natural” ingredients is a myth. Europeans are pretty ignorant to this fact.
I just had a UK Domino’s from my local store and it was the best pizza I have ever had. Ben and Jerrys Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Coca-Cola Classic were also delicious from my local Domino’s.

A large scale pizza chain like Dominoes would never be able to afford to use that much parmesan. There are substitutes, but "Italian Hard Cheese" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Plus offers and discounts!!!!!!
Indians make less. I mean 150 dollars per month
and thats why it tastes like shit
Little known piece of publicly available info is that for the Italian size pizza in uk dominos they actually just use a the dough from a size down and slap it onto a larger plate so that it stretches thinner. I remember when I was at dominos and fairly new to the slapping process it was actually surprisingly difficult to get the hang of doing the thinner crust pizzas decently without tearing parts of it
Also the Tuna on Pizza is actually surprisingly decent, it’s like a tuna cheese melt with tomato. Also found that if you get it without the tomato sauce it’s pretty good with sweet corn and red onion.

Wouldn't be much of a problem if people anywhere in the world knew how to portion control
The reason why fast food, snacks etc. are so expensive is because they wanna tackle obesity
Hmmm... depends on how often u eat pizza ....
Uk dominos almost always have deals tho, usually 50%
So does the US, so I don’t think it makes that much of a difference.
In indonesia too
They always offer 35-60% discount here
