One of the most dead accurate line and lengths bowlers that there has ever been. Rarely has anyone ever bowled that perfect outside-off line and length so consistently. The fact he isn’t in our best 11 speaks volume about just how good this current bowling cartel that we possess is. I was there at the MCG on Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test last year and what I witnessed in that last session of play from Boland and Starc was like nothing else. The crowd roared to life like it was the end of WW2. It was a once in a lifetime moment. Since then, Boland has proven that he is not just a one-hit wonder. He has backed up that performance with nearly exact carbon copies of that innings. I will be attending the Boxing Day Test this year on Boxing Day. I hope I can be a witness yet again to this magician of line and length bowling. Good luck to Scott and the gents, as well as the Proteas. May the best group of gentlemen win.
He's a legend and he doesn't even realise it.. so humble. You can't help but love this guy 🙏❤️
I never really followed cricket growing up, as I was exclusively an AFL fan. But I decided to give cricket more of a crack last summer. The 2021 boxing day test was the first time I have ever sat down and watched an entire match of test cricket in full. I was so enthralled by it that I haven't missed a test series since, and Scott Boland's heroics is the whole reason for that. The man single-handedly sparked my love for test cricket that I never even knew existed. The man really does deserve a statue.
I remember watching this test and seeing Boland bowl with such accuracy that you just knew he was going to get wickets. I did not expect a six for but he absolutely deserved it. His humility speaks volumes about his character and I hope he gets to play a few more tests before he calls it a day. Love from the West Indies.

The line and length that Scott Boland bowls reminds me a lot of Terry Alderman. Close to the stumps on delivery, attacking the stumps and the outside edge. Mr. Boland will do well in England in 2023, if he is picked to go...
Great comment. That’s a very good comparison. I remember watching the 1989 Ashes series as a youngster and Terry Alderman was giving our batsmen nightmares!! Graham Gooch has said that he wore out 3 pairs of pads facing him!! Meaning he had him plumb LBW a number of times!! Boland is definitely a very similar type of bowler.

Definitely one of my favourite sports stories in recent years. TBH, hew shouldn't have had to wait so long his test debut. And, right now, he should be in the starting XI ahead of Hazlewood.
Sometimes dreams do come true. Rarely live on International TV tho :)
