Such disciplined Batter this lad Cameron Bancroft Unlucky he's missing out on the test side ever since
Exactly what I'm thinking. Never seen someone leaving the ball so brilliantly
Disciplined??
Are you kidding me 😂
It's interesting to note the discomfort/trouble Archer caused all of the batters. The Windies of the 80's had 4 such bowlers with no restrictions on the short pitched deliveries. I suspect that some of the modern day greats would have had both their averages and reputations severely reduced if they'd have faced that bowling attack.
That might be true, but it's also going to be true that they'll be be prepared in the way that they should. These modern day greats aren't just who they are because of easier conditions. You prepare for what you have to face.
Short pitched deliveries have no limit anyways, it's the bouncers that have the limit.
Pitches favoured them ,less cricket safety gears helped them and also lack of technology helped them ,so I don't think they would trouble much modern batters .
In fact 2018 was the toughest year to bat in test history
fair play to bancroft survived well against a great spell
He didn’t he got out to him shortly after
26 overs out of first 80 is a joke for an express pace bowler
absolutely, bowled him into the dirt
Way too much for a fast bowler
I don't care how well he was bowling, or how "on" he was...that should NEVER have happened! Absolutely absurd from the leadership/management
@@tebogofaas7887 Hence his chronic elbow problem, I suspect.
i was impressed coz i seen him playing for hobart hurricanes and knew a bit about how he bowled! its amazing that he never got steve smith out
He almost killed Steve smith though

Genuine chance this might be the first and last Ashes he'll ever play
English Cricket does not know how to nurture fast bowlers. Same thing happened to Devon Malcolm.
Thinking the same.A sort of Frank Tyson thing going on.
Let’s hope not, because on his day archer CAN still be lethal! But if I’m being honest with myself you’re probably right mate… nonetheless Jofra Archer is still very good though…
He is injured so he dont play
This is test no 20 20 ...bowkers in test are furious ...and its not ur bcci
the real show of pace and bouch with a healthy swing what a bolwer
He was a great bowler but his injury destroyed him😢
Root didn’t help making him bowl 20+ overs of bouncers no wonder his injured 🙄
Bowler:chipchukk
Bat:tikkk
Feilders:ohhh🤯
Still miss Warney in the box, brought life to commentary and was fair in his analysis. RIP Shane, it was a pleasure to meet you those few times.
That's the beauty of test cricket ❤
Archer bowled so well that game. It’s sad he’s unable to play many tests due to his injury
Thanks for uploading this. Other highlights only show the wickets . But a video on good spell of bowling is much more exciting ❤❤❤
Relentless and awesome! Great to see Archer fit again.
Simple and beautiful bowling action.
Bancroft keeping these out like they’re questions about the Aussie bowlers’ use of sandpaper
Speed Gun Of this Era with a nice and simple action❤❤❤
Oh Great ! Finally got his debut spells !!
He is gentle man bowler but
Stive smith🥶🥶
with such a soft action he generates this amount of speed is incredible..
Hats off to Bancroft who played genuinely Against the Debutent Archer 🔥
Archer is best ❤
Absolute cinema
I was always wondering how Archer's debut spells were like , and today I as lucky to find this . That too just after 2 hours of this upload . ICING ON CAKE !!
Solid defenses from Bancroft 👏🏻
Man on hunt
The way he set up Bancroft was superb
Pure Cinema 📽
Smith like goatt men❤❤
Dream for BCCI to post ball by ball content
The sound of pants ripping when he's bowling💀
No wonder bro got injured, 26 overs on the trot is diabloical
gutsy from bancroft
He is a great customer but unfortunately he misses test cricket lot .most unfortunate thing was he was not play a ashes series since 2019😢😢
I hope he will play 2024 ashes series 😊😊😊😊🎉
Classic
Batters played him well though
What about his injury update?
Archer is much better than ball much fuller while bowling much short of the length then he stuck off stump batsmen have to done get his every ball away from off stump because he swing the bowl much sensationally ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🏴💯💯🏴👊🏴💯👊!
Eh?
anyone know where we can watch the full 2019 ashes ?
It’s on England official cricket channel
Reminds me Patrik Patersan
And then on perennial sick leave ever since. #sicknote
Hey you mind doing the entire replay of smiths 100 in 23? Not ball by ball but the entire innings up until he was out? Or the 215 he scored in 2015? Much appreciated
Shame that his injury has meant I don’t think we will see him in tests again. Root didn’t help, using Archer to bowl the amount of overs he asked him to. Should have been used like Wood is in short sharp bursts. Look at this first innings, 90 overs & Archer bowled 30 of them
Pretty simple action...short runup and high pace
Why Lords cricket ground rectangular shape???
Cricket grounds can be of any dimensions ,it could be oval, round or rectangular
Why is my arm paining after watching this
He needs a Yorker. He has everything else: pace, bounce, line & length. He just needs a yorker to complete the set.
He has got a very good yorker. Not obviously used as much in test cricket but surely you've seen him play white ball cricket. He used it when we won the 50 over WC a lot, he even used it in the 2 games against Pakistan the other day, it's practically all he balls at the end of a T20 inning. He's got a mad selection of deliveries, from yorker, to knuckleball, to back of the hand stuff, to express pace. He's great at varying his opace without changing his action.
@@BJJPaulos74 Thanks for the info. I've not seen him deliver his yorker. I'm only getting highlights here & there. 👍
He bowled 20 of the first 57 overs?!?!? That is borderline abuse
Will he return in t20 wc
Smith🗿
Johny Bairstow busy all the day
Surprised it is described it as scary but I guess the value of the car can do that. You could see and hear on the video that the presenter was modulating the throttle in the corners which is going to unsettle it….surprised about the comment about weight going to the rear on acceleration ? That’s what all cars do and why trail braking in a 911 to get the weight on the nose of the car is so effective. Lucky enough to have driven over 10k miles in one of these, Porsche have not made many better road cars. I met someone that drove one of these in the Irish tarmac rallies in period, he was actually in his old car (now owned and restored by someone else) he won events in. “His” car was running 7’s and 8’s which he said ruined the cars balance. There’s absolutely no need for 7’s and 8’s with modern tyre tech even if running a period tread pattern.
bowling 30 overs in one day seems like a joke today, icing on the cake is pace
Prior to the LBW there were only 10 balls which might have struck the wickets……..
Fast and nasty. Some really good batsmen looking very uncomfortable.
Where is jofra archer
Sitting on a beach in Barbados, enjoying his latest million quid a year contract from the ECB.
@@lazaglider I guess bowling 30 overs a day while being in excess of 90 mph takes a toll on your health
Waiting for ecb to select him so he can make his debut
Playing for England in the T20 world Cup, why?
I counted 98 leaves by the batsmen
warner wicket must be taken by broad
Wth is bairstow doing
Wht he did to smith is bad
gifted citizenship to have bowler before 2019wc. hasn't been seen since wc
Load of rubbish, the dude had a British passport fro birth and still had to do 3 years residency. More to the point you do know this happened after the world cup and he last played in a test in India in 2021, but has played in one dayers last year and has recently just played 2 T20's and is playing for England in the T20 World Cup.
Fact's are he played 8 more tests even after this Ashes, as well 21 50 over games and 17 T20's. Sure he's had elbow injuries that have made his career stop start. But look at Cummins, he played for Australia against SA in 2011, got a load of wickets, then didn't play again for 1946 days (5 years, 3 months and 27 days) due to constant injuries. He eventually came back and became Australian Captain and has had plenty of success.
every time keepera ans slip firlders wearing their expensive sunglasses on their head, i belive thats OAKLEY branded glasses, looks like its not suitable for cricketers 😅
England and Root broke Archer. A guy who was on the T20 circuit gets drafted into the world cup squad at the last minute, with 0 international experience and plays 11 world cup games bowling phenomenal speeds. Then straight into test cricket a few weeks after and they play him in 4 out of 5 Ashes tests, bowling long spells at times. Then constant mismanagement e.g., bowling in NZ 50 overs in an innings and playing through the elbow injury against SA where it finally broke down.
Giving a break here and there or looking after him wouldn't have taken years off his career.
Flintof better than this men😂
Joe Root over bowled him. Simple. And I love Joe. But you can’t do that to him
Kohli won't survive a sec!!!
Kid he played prime jhonson malinga starc steyn😂
Archer as a REFUGEE taking ASYLUM
But but, the historians tell us that every ball he bowled was in the high 90s, that we'd not seen anything like it before. I guess the speed gun was lying, or more likely being racist. It was Lord's after all.
he literally bowled 97mph this series ffs and no one said he bowled every ball 90+
Because of this spell i guess he is been long absent in the england team,, the team has squeezed is all talent in his first match so he didnt left many now
