- I finally completed the TASing of all 51 event matches. Was definitely worth the time and effort! I changed the title to include TAP, since this is technically not a speedrun(TAP stands for Tool Assisted Playthrough)

I have seen several videos with heavy tool assistance that broke no records. They still fell under the blanket definition of TAS's. Could they have been done faster? Absolutely, but that would've been a sacrifice to entertainment.
For an example, look up this video: [TAS] SNES Super Mario All-Stars: Super Mario Bros. 3 "Playaround" by Genisto. By far not the fastest way to beat the game, but it sure is fun to watch!
My favorite part was the 128 marios. I found it very entertaining.

It wasn't till today that I found out the event is called Mario 128 because, there was a rumor that Mario 64's sequel would be called Mario 128. Sakurai trolling us subtly for years..

20XX. A post-apocalyptic world in which competitive Melee evolves to the point of TAS perfection. Fox is the only viable character. Rock-Paper-Scissors matches decide matches based on P-1 port priority. Mango and a few select others tried to fight the inevitable disaster, but they were killed in combat and reanimated under the dark robot Mew2King ver. 2.0. Those who dared resist were eliminated and assimilated into the army of Perfect Foxes. The resistance, led by an aging PewPewU and Dr. PP attempt to fight the Foxes with their Marths, knowing the fight is unwinnable. As their last hope, they train a young Joseph Mango Marquez, the first Mango's son, in the art of Smash to one day overthrow the Fox Empire and bring balance to the Melee world.

While watching the events, I noticed that all the events are beaten in the exact same time as the High Score. For example, at 2:14 we see event 6, Kirbys on parade, has a high score of 00:16.67. At the end at 2:38 , we see the timer at 00:16.67. Very interesting it is.

These Melee events always remind me of my annoying experience with Dino Wrangling, because I didn't know I could button mash out of the egg. First, Yoshi ate me as soon as the match started. Went off the edge and was KO'd. Second was 25 seconds in, it ate me again. Went off the edge and was KO'd once more. Third was 50 seconds in, when I got it far off the edge and it ate me a third time, but that was on its second jump, so it was KO'd first. It was pretty annoying to be eaten that many times, to say the least.
Watching the TAS just utterly obliterate Metal Armor was soooooooo satisfying to watch.
I have one thing to say. THIS IS AMAZING!!!

No hacking Is used whatsoever.
The techniques being used are;Wavedashing,Moonwalking,L-Canceling,and Shffling.
Well i mean yeah...but it's a hack. No human player has the reaction time requierd to 0% every challenge in that speed. Not to mention the choices on the menus happen way to fast. It's clearly at the very least, assisted with frame slowdown. Which is partially what a tas is. But yeah, there's totally hacking. 100%. it's physically impossible to be this consistent.

Though not all TASes are visually impressive. In fact, there are some where the game is beaten a cycle after the "Start" button is pressed thanks to an insane amount of luck manipulation.
