    Good job. You’re the only person on all of TH-cam that has taken on changing/installing LED fog lights (or LED headlights, which is what I really need).
    Still, great video, sir!

    ****UPDATE**** the lights stopped working on 3/2023 and after testing all the connections I located the issue. The kit I purchased came with a relay, that relay is not waterproof. So replacing the relay and will keep everyone posted. Located a replacement relay 12v 30a for only $9.95 that’s waterproof on Amazon.

      I replaced the relay and they work just fine now. So I would suggest you tape the one that comes with the kit or replace it with a waterproof relay.

    Just bought a 2022 Frontier don't have the fogs so I'm going to add them. Now I've watched this vid a few times and I know you had a problem swapping around your switches in your control panel. It's a piece of cake to do, the trick is each group of switches has a black frame that the switches snap into. You can see in your video there are silver screws that hold each group of switches into the grey dash panel. What you do is first release the harness hold-downs so you can move your switches then unscrew the black frames from the dash panel. With the little switch frame in your hand you can now see that the switches are being held in by the top and bottom clip in to the black frame, clips on the side of the switches does nothing. Now just take a small flat screwdriver and lift the top clip that holds the switch in, as your doing that put a little pressure on the back of the switch to push out. While holding pressure on the switch to keep the first clip from popping back in place take your screwdriver again and lift the bottom clip and the switch pops out. Now you can move all your switches to where ever you want. I know all the trucks are the same where they have the switches their scattered all over the place for some reason. So now I moved my switches to the two upper sections so now I don't have to reach all the way down to the bottom to get to any of the switches. They are now up where I can reach them easily and organized. On another note your harness hold-downs might not line up now depending on where you installed each switch just wire-tie the harness to the supports on the grey dash panel any place that's convenient and your done....hope this helps😃

    I have the factory fog lights, but just like the headlamps the brightness is pathetic. I upgraded the headlights to LED, huge improvement over the factory halogen bulbs.
    In my area the speed limit is 25. It's very dark at night and the high-beams wont turn in automatic mode at low speed. I'm hoping putting the brightest LED into the fog lamp will help me see. It takes a H8 or H11 lamp.

    Those plugs connect to the factory fog lights . You can buy the factory fog lights comes with the left and right and the Steering Console Combination Switch that you have to replace on the S and SV model that doesn’t come with fog lights

    • @nachogtz3512

      Thanks, the ones I got came with their own switch and no need for the steering console changes. I switched the red wire from direct to the battery to tapping onto the regular drive lights so they turn off on their own as well.

    So the new trucks don’t have pre wires for fog lights?

    • @nachogtz3512
      @nachogtz3512  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They do but it’s in a form of a plug. The kit I have does not come with the factory plug to use so I simply tapped onto the regular drive lights. So when the truck is turned off, all the lights will turn off together including the new fog lights. I also have the manual switch that came with the kit that I use to manually turn them on or off. The main power is fed from the tap I made on the regular drive lights.

    • @ChiliHead-t7v

      If you have the SV shortbed, the kit has the wiring harness you need. The truck does not come with it. I have the SV 6' (Longbed Edition) and the wiring harness was not included with the factory wiring set. The kit does come with the correct wiring harness set for this installation, but not the correct switch for my truck. For the switch wiring, you need to use an ignition 12V wire (red) from under the dash, this will light up the LED inside the button and give the switch the power to send the signal (yellow) to the relay to turn the lights on. The lights themselves get power directly from the battery terminal (or Add-A-Fuse) after the relay received the 'on' signal from the switch. For the ignition 12v power I ran a wire across the back of the firewall inside the truck to the glovebox and found a good source of ignition power there.

      Sorry need some additional details.
      “Wiring connectors for lights?” The kit I purchased came with the wires and switch. To connect the factory lights to the new lights I used a “connector”. This allows the power to the lights to be provided by the regular lights. The switch that came with the lights allow me to manually turn them on or off if needed. Now if you have two lights for each housing, then you may of received the incorrect parts? The kit comes with only one bulb per each light housing.

    So the wires from the switch inside you just connect them from the front wires? Also, where did you connect the yellow wires to?

    • @nachogtz3512
      @nachogtz3512  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Black, red, yellow wires from switch inside come out to black ground, yellow continues to relay, red spliced onto factory lights power cable. So I can leave new “fog” lights on and they turn off when primary lights turn off after motor is off. Hope that makes some sense, I do admit I’m not the greatest at instructions but I’ll respond again if you have any other questions. I wish I could add additional video or images.

    Oh and by the way I noticed in your video that the gromet is not popped in where your hood latch cable goes into your firewall. Mine was the same way it's like a 1" hole that if you hit a decent puddle your going to end up with water in your truck. It's a real bitch to get in too I had to cut the sound deadener a bit to get at it and used a cotter-pin puller you know the hook tool to help push it back in place. I guess Nissan doesn't want to be bothered and I'll bet they did this on every truck.
