Today I will be demonstrating the AMAZING @RinskeDouna's Dutch Bloom technique! She is such a talented artist and a great human being!!!

Materials:
24x24 inch Artist Loft Level 3 Gallery Wrapped Canvas from Michael’s.
Paints used:
Base Paint- was made from mixing several colors such as Amsterdam Pearl Green, Golden Carbon Black, Golden Phthalo Turqouise and Amsterdam Titanium White and Gold
Colors used for the flower:
Amsterdam Prussian Blue
Amsterdam Pearl Green
TLP Pinot Gris
Golden Interference Green
Pouring Medium
50% American Floetrol 50% GAC 800 or Golden Gloss Medium
Mix this PM at a 5:1 ratio.
5 parts PM to 1 part paint- mix well!

How to Mix Pigments for this technique
Squirt GAC 100 to wet pigments
Add a scoop of regular gel gloss (any brand)
Mix well and add whatever pouring medium you like.

Nicely done! I prefer the 2nd orientation - looks more centered. Was your custom base coat thicker than the puddle colors?
Thanks my dear!!! I used the same 5:1 ratio of Golden Gloss Medium/floetrol to 1 part paint. It did seem a thick due to some titanium white that I added. It was leaving a 1 to 2 second trace… I hope helps!

Thanks Paula Dear!!! I attempted this a couple of months ago but my base ended up being darker. This came great just like the first Dutch bloom I did with the Pearl violet vase… Next I will do Interference Blue or yellow…

just subscribed. Questions - I have problems with using the blowdryer... do you use a low setting? Is it a cool setting and does that even matter ? this is a stunning piece !
Thanks dear! And Thanks for watching! 🤗😍💕 So I use the Kiss Pro Dryer that I got from Walmart… Amazon has it also. It’s red. I think I have the link in the description box… I do use it on the low cool setting. If it’s set on hot air and a high setting then the paint will dry from the top layer and you won’t have control of where you want your Dutch pour to flow… I hope I’m making sense! Let me know if you have any questions!!!

What is correct with using a hair dryer? I have been told to first have the CA form a puddle and then overlap the paint?
Hi Charlene! I didn’t use a cell activator for this technique. I do have some bloom videos where I show how to use the dryer and push the cell activator. I hope this helps!
