I feel the same about sock knitting with DPNs 😩😂 When I learnt to knit my first pair of socks, I got so fed up, I bought some 9” circulars in the same size as my DPNs and transferred over to those. I haven’t looked back since, and now I can’t stop knitting socks (it’s becoming a problem 🤣)
One recommendation for you with socks and mittens and similarly small tube-like knits... if you'd decide to do colourwork, do not do them in DPNs! Use magic loop or sock needles, colourwork on DPNs is a nightmare 😱
this podcast is my new comfort watch - i am currently working on the viima beanie by veera valimaki and desperately hoping i get it done in time for xmas for my sibling 🥲
I got some worsted wool of the andes - amber yarn from knit picks that im gonna use to knit my first sweater, it's a vintage pattern called men's Raglan Sleeve Zipper Sweater #4024 by jack frost it's such a classic looking sweater which is something ive been wanting
Usually beanie patterns have you do a single short row turn so that when you fold the brim of the hat up, both the brim and the rest of the hat have the right sides showing. Hopefully I explained that in a way that makes sense 😅
