Hello, can I make a digital machine without connecting the RS 232 cable from the driver to the computer with the mach3
Hi, Very good job with this servos, could tou help me ? Im from Brazil and my system os quite similar to your but i cant get high speed on my servo, um using a stepper board with 200khz and MT servo can handle 500khz. Thank you
Hello Robert,
thanks for sharing video first, i have a question. how you hooked mach3 with 8.1 OS ?? AFAIK mach3 driver dont support win8.1 !! enlighten please

Thanks for your comment Ankit
I used a USB smooth stepper board. I found more videos I did on this bench test and will continue to post more on this. please view these videos at your convenience:

Hello I have a question! Do the servo drivers accept 5v step and pulse directions or is it only 24v? How do you turn 5v from your parallel port into 24v for the servo drivers?
Yes this ac servo drive takes step and direction signals. +5vdc to +sign and +pulse. step signal to (- sign), direction signal to (-pulse). I used a usb smooth stepper board to act as parallel port with an optical isolation break out board. the only 24vdc used is to power the break out board for relay switches and and analog output. the 5vdc came from my usb port on my laptop through the smooth stepper board. I will try and post some better video to clarify. I have a lot to learn about posting shorter to the point videos. Thank you for your comment.
Robert Underwood Thank you very much for the fast response! Im just scared some drivers wont be compatible with mach 3. As long as is says it in the manual it is compatible with +5v step and dir they should be good! Again thanks for the video and hope you post a couple more!

Yes I believe you are right. The drive has to be capable of position control mode using 5VDC signal commands. I will check out some other servo drives. I have my eye on a 750W SureServo drive from automation direct. This one looks like a good candidate for PC control using Step and direction 5VDC. I will post video on this one next. though it may be a while before I scrape up the extra cash to buy. Thanks again
Robert Underwood You may want to check out Xinje Servo's you can buy a 750w motor and driver kit for 600$ no tax and free shipping. They accepts step and dir +5v. search on eBay for (xinje servo)! heres the manual www.xinje.hu/letoeltes/szervo/46-ds2-manual/download.html
