look at all the garbage right next to the beautiful water. nasty.
I noticed that too. Just like the U.S.
I remember watching Egyptian families at the beach in Alexandria. The young boys were all swimming happily in their underwear while the young girls were fully dressed and in hijab and were just getting their feet wet. My heart just ached for them...
Great videos Gab! Love them. I did observe one thing is the amount of plastic rubbish on the street is truly sad indeed.
Yes I noticed that as well on the streets and the beach
Hi Gabe,
I really enjoy your videos of places that I may never get to go. You show the places as real trash and everything. Rick Steves cleans it up so much that we are surprised by the reality.
I know you here your videos when you edit them. I know you hear the sounds of the traffic and the ambulances and the loudspeaker announcements. I wonder if we, your audience could hear you better if you were a little microphone on your shirt. I'm not sure that would draw even more attention to you . The locals seem to talk to you and offer you their help anyway.
And I learned from your videos too. I have never thought of a restaurant where you have to order your food 90 minutes in advance. Mind blowing. But, I guess it makes more sense than being tired, sitting in a restaurant, waiting for your food to be prepared when you are tired from work, and all you want to do is go home.❤
Keep up the good work Gabriel. And thank you.❤
Yeah that was terrible. No disrespect ment to the people who live there, im sure its fine when you know your way around. But to volutarily spend money to go there seems quite insane.
I guess tourists and travelers have different interests and expectations
@rajm2626 Yeah, absolutely, good point. For a tourist who just wants a beach it's probably fine but for a traveler there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest..
@ageoflove1980 I actually meant it the other way around, lol. I think Egypt is very interesting for travelers but less so for tourists. As a traveler, I really want to travel extensively in the cities, towns, and villages along the Nile and then into the Western Desert and to some of the oases - Dakhla and Siwa oases in particular. For tourists, all it seems that there is to do in Egypt are the pyramids and some resorts along the Red Sea. But for me, I think there is really a lot to do and see in the non-touristy areas there and I'm very excited to visit eventually. I also am looking forward very much so, to talking and interacting with the locals. It seems though that some tourists have had some bad experiences in Egypt with scammers, trash, harassment, etc, but that doesn't actually bother me much at all.
Egypt is fascinating but so much trash everywhere and noisy.
Reminds me of the videos I've seen of India. So much trash.
@@DerrickW30India looks like a giant rubbish bin 😳
Dirty beaches.... to be expected.
From the last couple of videos, it seems there is garbage everywhere in Egypt. I just came back from Japan which was quite the opposite.
It is disturbing for my eyes to see it!
It’s a very poor country with lots of urban areas. It’s a measure of inequality if anything
I wonder how much is cultural vs government
@@dreammfyre Disposing of garbage is one simple task where the rich and the poor are all equals.
I follow Baklykov live. Over 95 cities in Russia. No trash, no grafitti, no homeless.
I would just like to say, thank you for not putting your videos full of ads and sponsorships.

How dirty is this place.
For all those asking for no more Turkey or Greece content, you can kinda see why he likes those places compared to how rundown egypt appears.
Kenya & Tanzania better than Egypt. Also Gambia,Ghana cleaner.
Sorry not sold, visited the pyramids and did the Nile cruise-awesome yes, but had some bad experiences as a woman traveller and also didn’t like the poor little skinny horses and donkeys pulling large loads and standing in sun.
"little donkeys"? they have little children ride on horses or chariots all over the place, transporting stuff or looking for tourists... that's a no-go from me. if i would go at the pyramids or whatever and see a kid leading a camel with tourist on it, i would vomit my guts out on the spot, on these ancient stones. not for me, thanks egypt, but no, i will not contribute on this even if you have the best ruins ever. see you in 30 years, maybe...
@@ikosmargaritis9749you must do a lot of vomiting, while you wear your rose coloured glasses.
When you get to Milan I recommend visiting nearby Lake Como and the Swiss mountains. I was just there. Great location with lots to do
Gabriel you are one of the most authentic loggers. Thank you. However Marsha Matrouh city center is not really nice beaches. If you venture out more around it there are some of the most beautiful beaches ever. What you are showing to your audience is the inner cities of Egypt. Which we too have in the States. Please show the other side of Egypt the ones your audience can visit. It will help our tourism industry. What you show I doubt they will visit and only leads to misconceptions about this beautiful country. Again keep up the great work
Gabriel is a traveler, not a tourist. There are many blogs in YT and everywhere which showing what you mean and want.
If you actually watched/heard this video, you would know that this channel has shown some of Egypt's best touristic places in the past and he is actually in his way to Shiva RN to show another one.
He don't do promo videos tho, and that's why we're here.
It’s about time I made it back to Egypt, last time I was there MySpace was all the rave🤣
Gabriel thanks for showing us around. The color of the water is really nice. My kind of nice.
How disappointing, water looks great, but what a mess
friendly wishes for Egypt 😊...courageous 🥤
Alexandria has something special, great content Gabe! Thanks!
I am kind of shocked last 3 videos... its like an open-air trash exhibition with few forgotten historical monuments buried in it. Just sad and repulsive.
Also did the overnight trip from Bahariya to the White desert to Farafra. Farafra was cool with hot springs and spent the night with a German guy in the desert and found all kinds of cool oceanic fossils. Lots of fossilized scallops and other stuff. Good times. 1992.
Big change from when I was there in 1992. Was a dusty sleepy town with dusty empty streets with no traffic and nobody on the beach. Some beaches had fencing(barbed wire?) where you weren't allowed to enter. No tall buildings or resorts. Being close to the Libyan border it had a military presence. But the sand and water was epic. Wish I could post the few pics I have of there. I remember getting a lift on a donkey cart. No other tourists Egyptian or foreign. Gabe go to the Sinai and check out the beaches there and climb Mt. Sinai and sleep up there and wake up for the sunrise. Another epic thing to do in Egypt. Nuweiba beach had great snorkeling and a cool canyon with colored mountains or was that Margana beach?
great cinematography, thanks for show humans is reality around our world saludos
Shame there’s so much trash everywhere, even on the beach….sad
Tell us about the air pollution😣
Shame they didn't clean the place up they would have far more visitors but unfortunately it's a mind set and they live in squaller how difficult is it to put rubbish in a bin 😂
Your racism is a mindset too 😂. Hilarious
@@VolkerHelmich no you'res is actually racism by implying it had nothing to do with it , the way in which people conduct their lives doesn't always have to be based on religion or ethnicity your an idiot fact 🤣
@@Trueseeker-r8qapparently you like to laugh 😂 at yourself, I like to laugh at you too. 😂 Do you know what a dullard is? 🤤
Yeah, I'm gonna pass on Egypt. What a shame.
You will not be missed
You're gonna pass. 😱 OMG, this is devastating news for us all. 🤡
you should go to sharm el sheikh its the best place in egypt and feels very different than the north. amazing sea as well.
Yup but just b careful of 🦈 Sharks
Sonny from Best Ever Food Review Show had a horrible time in Egypt with his crew. Says he will never go back. Apparently the filming was a big issue. Have you encountered any negativity from filming there?
No problems, probably helps that I have minimal camera gear, just a couple of small cameras and also I didn't fly into Cairo. I'm sure they're more relaxed in Alexandria.
Too those saying it's too dirty. Some countries are more for travelers than tourists, Egypt is one such country. Not everywhere is rich and clean like Europe and North America!
Being poor does not mean you are dirty th-cam.com/video/brWwlhy0moI/w-d-xo.html
Poor animals !!!
and the children who work with them, see the start of the vid. really sad. do tourist hire them? what a shame....
@ikosmargaritis9749 valuable experience for the children 👍
Egypt is cool but I can't understand why they let the streets be so dirty with trash. It's a shame.
Wow! The garbage!! It really spoils the the beauty of the place! 😢
Surprised you didn’t swim ? Water is so clear.
You can often cancel flights with 24 hours of booking them. That can be useful when you need to show an onward flight, bit don't actually want to take that flight.
Exactly.
I'd wanted to go to Marsa Matruh and just didn't schedule the time. It's been a few years too. ☆ Thanks ☆ for getting a view for us. 💚 Inspired by the Finnish bike couple who went thru to the Senegal/Gambia a few years ago, yes. That adventure kept local food happening too. Cycling around the world: VLOG 15 - ACROSS AFRICA - The Gambia #1.
While you may like an 'easier row to hoe', the pasture everywhere does need re-planting sometimes and your exploring does expose some list of possible non-schengen winter potentials for us to see. I'd be curious to see some inspiring growers and grazers being interviewed. Regenerative and Biodiverse happens with people proving the point. ☆ 💚 Demonstrably too. We can find ways to connect with this spirit & intention. Thanks so much as your efforts & they do inspire!.. ☆ 💚
Gabri King Traveler 😁 king of desert with his harem.
I like the well-known Gabrijel way of solving problems with the locals ....OK, THANKS 😁😁😁
An attitude that should be used in everyday life and remove boring and bad people from your life.
Hi Gabriel, Egypt doesn't seem high on the tourist attraction outside the Pyramids. The cities are a bit run down, all that garage is a bit of a turn-off to visit giving the impression people don't care about where they live. It's a shame there's such an incredible history there these cities aren't well kept, and they don't seem to be inviting tourists bringing in much-needed tourist money. Something you may want to consider is a boat trip down the Nile on the world's longest river.
He went on a boat trip down the Nile in 2009: th-cam.com/video/sYCj2lxG5HM/w-d-xo.html
Exactly: only thing to really suggest is the Nile boat trip . With hopefully not too many boats on the Nile. Otherwise also this can soon turn into a nightmare😮😂
Gabe was way too kind about this place. Looks filthy and run down
Sounds like yer mom
That was a poor donkey held down by a boulder. My heart hurts. Why do those people treat their animals like that?😢
Bless yer little heart Joyce.
😊❤🇧🇦🗻🏔⛰
you must try Mango juice, siwa dates, konafa
Looks like a dirty dump of a place, but glad you showed us this part of Egypt.
Wow a side of Egypt I’ve never seen 🎉
Egypt will definitely not be my destination of preference!!
Great you will have plenty of time for siwa ❤
After watching all your videos, it just dawned on me that you are risking being run over regularly while you narrate your travels.
Very interesting part of Egypt 👍 thanks Gabe as always! also for the great soundtrack
Ah limonana. I remember that from my time living in the Middle East. I make it at home now.
Sail on a traditional river boat..pretty fun
I went on a boat trip down the Nile in 2009: th-cam.com/video/sYCj2lxG5HM/w-d-xo.html
@@GabrielTravelerVideosyeah, but it's not with the traditional tourist boats which cover more interesting places .Also could be interesting to show how smoothly you can travel in Egypt, laying on your bed watching the unique river scenery passing by, enjoying temple visits to magic Kom Ombo, Edfu, also you can include a tour to Abu Simbel. Fully different energy when you do kind of Egyptian ferry trips 😘 as in your 2009 vid.
Incredible prices on food in egypt
so much garbage and no beer is enough for me
This is a good move. A place with little tourists means lesser hassle ( hopefully).
Be good if u could put the name of the hotels along with your prices. Gives us older solo travellers a glimpse of wat u get, and to compare with other places in the area.
10 mins in the video on a very busy street and i saw not a single litter bin. how much a public litter bin could cost to the city authorities?i mean even if the citizens would, there is no bin to use... why?
Perhaps you will bring a bin
They prefer to spend on weapons
@@anacolunga6491 does your country spend more on weapons or schools? 😂
I was in Pella 2 weeks ago, I saw trash strewn close to the archeological museum where some cotton fields were, some people just have no sense of respect for their surroundings.
@@anacolunga6491 i dont know about the weapons, but i know about the money egypt spend in the new capital project. this planet is very weird mate, very weird... th-cam.com/video/VGLWXCGvlEE/w-d-xo.html
Lots.of history thanks for sharing 🤟
Ah those lovely desert oasis, free was it! Wind in the desert blows itself back to the source decimating itself I heard, what do I know! 😂 so pretty though 🤣
Very beautiful beaches and water. As for garbage everywhere, I guess the population has other priorities, like financial issues and poor economy. Can't blame them. Not fare to compare Egypt and Japan as I saw in one comment
Nice one 👍
epic! Thanks
First
Come to Sharm El Sheikh! You won’t regret it! It’s so beautiful in here.
The most beautiful beach there is "Agiba" and there's also "Hammam Cleopatra" (Cleopatra's Bath)
Good to know, thanks for the tips.
Should’ve done the Turkish coast again bro. You’ve still to do like 95% of it
1st?
Instead of booking a flight to Italy, would you have been able to book a boat to somewhere instead? I am just wondering whether or not that option is available and if that gives you a broader choice
Not sure about that but I don't think there would be many options. I doubt there are ferries going from here to points across the Mediterranean, maybe just hitching a ride on a cargo ship or something. Never heard of a ferry between Egypt and Greece or Italy.
First?
Second, close but no cigar.
Since I was a kid I wanted to go to Egypt. I will go one day.
Stop dreaming and go
They are called murals ..i believe! I could also be wrong 😊.
I think a mural usually means a painting, but maybe that's close enough.
